I mean Amazon has done this in a lot of markets and has made a success with most of them. They might as well try with gaming.

Love each and every game and I am actually happy I get to play them as they were originally intended.

3 games for £50. That's a very good deal in my opinion.

Animal Crossing was pretty big (unless you mean the rest of 2020).

I am loving it so far. The games are really good and I think it is great value for money.

Yes, I did read the article. I just don't care about an incredibly minor thing.

I am really struggling to see why this is a big deal.

And I also don't see how wanting to release games that are very similar to how they were originally released is lazy when it is the point of the collection.

I think people are reading way too much into this. This basically tells us nothing apart from that they have a console planned for this century.

I only played some of Super Mario 64 DS. I never finished it so this would be a good chance to complete the game.

I have never played Super Mario Sunshine and I am looking forward to it. It looks like a really good game.

I absolutely loved Super Mario Galaxy and am really happy I can get a chance to play it again. It is one of my favourite games ever!

Playing for free online would be illegal and I'd rather support the industry than complain that they want to make some money.

I really don't care if games are HD or not (which these are - "Mario’s movements are as smooth as ever with HD resolution for each game") . I've played a lot of games before in the past that weren't HD and I loved them.

Or maybe that just isn't what this collection is meant to be. Changing too much wouldn't match with the way they are advertising this game and would go against the theme of celebrating milestones. They are meant to be very similar to how they were originally released.

Slowly and slowly the comments here are turning more toxic. Nintendo could give us everything we could ever want and people would still manage to find a way to complain.

Super Mario Party. It's one of the best games in the series and whilst it has fewer boards, all of the boards are really good and there are more modes than normal!

What if they do have an original game out in 2020? Also, it would be terrible business practise to release that statement.

They don't have to do a Nintendo Direct every few months just to please you. They don't need to release a game that you want every few months just to please you.

People like to forget that Nintendo has released a good amount of games already this year.

Have people here actually played Animal Crossing before? Many of the events in previous games are even more "basic" than this e.g. talk to an NPC and get an item. This is a pretty standard event by AC standards.

Are you sure about the requirements? There has been more evidence that suggests that these are the requirements:

1. It's been at least 30 days since you built the store.

2. You've spent OR sold a COMBINED 200,000 bells.

3. Mabel must have visited

These were datamined and I'm fairly sure the first 2 were in a guidebook for the game.

I am very happy with Mario Kart Tour. I have got another Mario Kart game for free. You don't need to spend any money and you can still get a lot from the game. I have got almost every single character and I don't play that often.

I don't see what's bad about this style of game. If you don't want to spend money, don't spend any. I've got a lot of enjoyment out of it already without spending a penny.

The controls aren't even hard to use with a little practice. It was never going to be the same as a console edition.

I would have been more willing to get one if the games were exclusive and for the exclusive games to actually be good. Zelda and Mario Kart are both in the Wii U. Splatoon 2 is a maybe, but I still have the Wii U version and don't see the changes to be worth it. I'm rather disappointed.

@NEStalgia I really am not a gamer. I enjoy video games, but am not a gamer so that part of what you said is completely wrong

@NEStalgia literally everyone I know has a PS4 or XBox One and a lot of them are the average person and a lot of them wouldn't care about portability.

There still isn't much for the average person who already have a PS4 or XBox One. A few first party games? Portability? Are these really that good for people to buy this system?

Again, like other information and games for the Switch, Nintendo has decided to barely change anything or not show enough to get people that are not "major Nintendo fans" interested. I have the game on my Wii U so what is there new that makes me think this game will improve that much? New weapons and stages? No, but that really isn't enough. Plus having to pay for online is just making this game pointless to get on the Switch.

@arekdougy because it is fair for people to criticize things, but it isn't for people to basically say they are completely wrong with criticizing just because they have a different opinion.

Why are people complaining at people complaining? People can and from Nintendo has said at the moment they have a right to. The Switch at the moment is just a disappointment.

@faint but why would they? The extra controllers are expensive so can't play games multiple players if they require two controllers each. The games are rubbish and all this system seems to be is a way for Nintendo to make up the money lost from the Wii U

@faint yes, that's why they are unlikely to buy all the things for the switch and continue to use their other system. It is likely the one that they have been using the longest and has games they prefer which will likely be on the other systems (not the switch) that they will want to use rather than buying a whole new system

@Billsama compared to PS4 and XBox One, the Switch is barely being talked about which really isn't a good sign. Yes, big Nintendo fans will buy it, but casual gamers who likely have an Xbox or PlayStation likely won't buy it.

In my opinion, Nintendo should have been more open about the Switch. At the moment, the upcoming games aren't worth it to buy the system. Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon 2 don't seem to have enough to changes to make me buy the system plus having to pay for online just makes me want it even less. The Zelda game I can get on Wii U. The extra controllers are way too expensive. The only thing that I really would want the Switch for is Super Mario, but even that doesn't look that fantastic and definitely isn't enough to buy the experience system. They needed to reveal more for the people that don't just buy the Switch just because it is from Nintendo.
