I'm waiting for the physical release but it has crossed my mind to get the digital one too.
Now if we can just get a live action TMNT movie which is similar in tone to the original 1990 one whilst also using Jim Henson Company turtle costumes then that would be great.
Many on here have already bought up about the big companies relying on 'safe bets' like re-releases, sequels, etc and I think we are hitting a turning point where more indies (like myself (cheap plug)) will become more prevalent due to having smaller/no budget and needing to innovate/be super creative to get noticed which will make for some interesting games. Big changes are gonna be coming in the industry over the next 5+ years imo.
There is no reason to move away from the Switch concept imo, Nintendo should just release more powerful hardware every 5-8 years, keep the same backend software so that all Switch software will remain viable/compatible in the future.
Saw it last night, better than the first but has too many humans in it (really only Robotnic and his lackey need to be in it) and the CGI is a little dodgy in parts but overall I really enjoyed it.
I don't know about anybody else but to me Geoff Keighley seems like a real sleazeball kinda guy, maybe I'm wrong but there just seems to be something about him, I dunno. Also Summer Games Fest and The Game Awards are garbage so meh who cares, as long as Nintendo do a Direct that's all I want.
Mario Odyssey was okay at best certainly not the best game of all time, Mario 64 is still a better game imo, and Elden Ring taking the #1 spot is just people being in hype overload, personally I'd give it to Ghost Of Tsushima.
All the complaints people made about the Switch when it was released, let's see if those same criticisms are given to the Deck. It's as if Steam built their system based solely on the negatives given to the Switch.
And yet companies like EA won't release their sports ball games on the system yet still release on garbage low selling consoles like the Xbox, boggles the mind.
This affects me in no way at all, I don't play Xbox or any Activision Blizzard games.
In all seriousness though this is not good for the industry, Xbox have been relying on 3 IP for the past 3 generations and now rather than creating their own new IP to compete with Nintendo and PlayStation they are just buying up the biggest publishers.
Nothing would make me happier than for this to backfire and Xbox to disappear (I can dream can't I)

While the headsets are as big as they are the whole VR thing will not go mainstream meaning the metaverse won't either.
