Re: EA Reportedly Pursuing Sale Or Merger

Many on here have already bought up about the big companies relying on 'safe bets' like re-releases, sequels, etc and I think we are hitting a turning point where more indies (like myself (cheap plug)) will become more prevalent due to having smaller/no budget and needing to innovate/be super creative to get noticed which will make for some interesting games. Big changes are gonna be coming in the industry over the next 5+ years imo.

I don't know about anybody else but to me Geoff Keighley seems like a real sleazeball kinda guy, maybe I'm wrong but there just seems to be something about him, I dunno.
Also Summer Games Fest and The Game Awards are garbage so meh who cares, as long as Nintendo do a Direct that's all I want.

This affects me in no way at all, I don't play Xbox or any Activision Blizzard games.

In all seriousness though this is not good for the industry, Xbox have been relying on 3 IP for the past 3 generations and now rather than creating their own new IP to compete with Nintendo and PlayStation they are just buying up the biggest publishers.

Nothing would make me happier than for this to backfire and Xbox to disappear (I can dream can't I)
