I'm happy we got the Indie Direct. Some news is better than no news. But the showing today was pretty weak IMHO.
I know it's a meme to expect Silksong at this point, but it still sucks that it wasn't here today.

I would like to see a new Nintendo property paired with an indie studio, like Cadence of Hyrule. My recommendation would be Splatoon, the series is itching for a spinoff!

Splatoon desperately needs a spinoff game

I'd go so far to say Samus is more recognizable and iconic than Laura Croft. But these lists are purely tabloid fan fiction. Only Mario or Pikachu could realistically be #1, and a good chunk of that top 20 would be filled with the Smash Ultimate roster (I guess 8/20 is not terrible).

Working on the Magolor campaign in Kirby RTDL

7/10 on PushSquare, pretty mid review TBH. This year's version really fails on a lot of levels.

It's probably a privacy thing. Nintendo's always been a private company, and they are just ensuring it even more. Sadly there are bad eggs who would steal company private info and employee personal info if given the right chances and information.

@Ryu_Niiyama I'm so glad someone recognizes the value of AOC as an equal pillar to the other two games. Truth be, I'd say AOC has the best story, characterization, and soundtrack of the trilogy. BOTW is best for pure exploration, and TOTK's crafting is immaculate. All three games have wonderful upsides and downsides, just like previous Zelda games that came before. TOTK is probably the best game of the trilogy but BOTW is arguably the most magical being the first one to take place in this setting.

All in all, I've gotten tired with the Era of the Wild (it's been going on for 10 years now since the 2014 teaser!) and I truly hope Nintendo moves to something completely new for Zelda after this.

I for one look forward to the Xbox Series H (my serious guess of what it's probably going to be called). Really it's going to be a glorified laptop/tablet running on Windows and will probably run games thru a Microsoft launcher, all digital only but great as a Game Pass machine. Microsoft's always going to struggle in the gaming landscape since they lack darling & mascot IPs like Sony & Nintendo has, and the ones they do have are being seriously neglected (Halo cough cough).

That's awful to see. I'm glad I held out on getting these games, they were really just a collector's novelty for me.

Honestly, I really think Pokemon needs a drastic change and should stray completely from the core formula. I'm glad the Legends series exists, and I'm especially glad Pokemon Z-A can be the "third" game X & Y never got. That's the direction I'd like to see from "third" versions, a brand new game but with the same/similar settings.

Good list. However Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue is kinda low, that's my favorite Pokemon game of all time.

@Justaguest I do that too often. I'll never play at work but sometimes it's nice to go to the library or a park and play afterwards. It's also just a nice token to have on me especially if I have a crappy day at work.

This is a very welcome change! So much nicer to pickup a game on Thursday and enjoy it one more day through the weekend.

It depends, some remake/remaster games are totally worth their value at $60 due to the fact that they are pretty long campaign-wise, Skyward Sword being one example. If the original game is a shorter experience, it would be nice to have it add additional content. One game that went above and beyond was Xenoblade Chronicles DE, which gave us an additional campaign, and the base game itself is already a massive experience. The QOL changes were phenomenal and the upgraded character models made the game totally worth picking up.

Man, what a bunch'a jokers! Now I'm just waiting on the inevitable Reyn Time DLC

Continuing my campaign in Kirby DTDL, I'm playing at a slow but comfortable pace of ~2 levels a day. I'm pretty busy right now so this is a great stress-relaxer game

@Yoshif3 I'm not so sure about the final spirit Smash Event. In theory, there should be one more since there were supposed to be four new drops total but I can't find good detail on whether that's going to happen. It's possible the Gen 9 Pokemon spirits were the final drop.
