I want it but from the pictures I've seen so far, the graphics don't seem to be much better than the DS game. Why does it seem Sega always seems to cut corners with DS and 3DS. They keep on churning out "Rush" clones and such when both systems could do more imo. Still, I'll probably pick this up.

Sonic is AMAZING!! Nintendo is AMAZING!! I AM AMAZING!!
@Pichuka97 They really stepped up the graphics from the screenshots they advertise. The other thread below has a 3DS gameplay video.
And as much as I want a 3D Sonic, I just don't think the 3DS is strong enough for a 3D Sonic game. The framerate would most likely suffer from the speed, and with so much power devoted to speed, would that effect the game's length and quality.
Hopefully it's better than Mario Kart 7. That was such a let down!
How was MK7 a let down?...
The visuals were amazing (Better than MKW)
Amazing online
Supported Mii feature
4 new characters.
That was posted a good 5-6ish months ago.
Reasons it could be considered bad
Limited Battle Courses
VR as place number instead of skill
No VS Single player
No Missions
Lack of many former, popular characters
But this is about a new Sonic Racer, not Mario Kart. So lets agree to disagree.
BTW the only reason I did that was because I don't think @MrNiceGuy will respond, and I listed possible letdowns.

I understand, there are some up's and down's for MK7, that doesn't mean Sonic racing transformed is going to be any better. It will have its up's and down's too.
This is the strangest release ever as it has had no promotion at all for it, no videos, no screen shots, it just appeared
Career Mode has
World Tour
Grand Prix
Time Attack
Single Race
Online and Local Multiplayer
& Download Play
Street Pass
Its got DLC option (none available though at the moment)
So the games XP is gained buy doing stuff on the Track it flashes up on the screen when you do something like drift in to level 2 or 3, perform 2 or more stunts in the air, hit someone with an item, hit someone by drifting in to them etc... and it works because it makes you work for your XP.
In the Wii U version i didn't know how I was getting my XP so I think this way on the 3DS is actually better and makes you want to try more.
Theres stickers to unlock much like the Console versions, The map system is similar to th console versions, Theres 10 characters to start with and space for 15 more not sure if the 3DS versions has any exclusive characters. The game has all the same music as the console versions as well.
OK the graphics well there not terrible but there not amazing either they do have the entire levels from the console versions intact though just played the Afterburner level played exactly the same as console just with worse graphics.
Gonna stick with the game disappointed its graphically not as good as the Wii original which is a bit confusing but its exactly the same game though
Currently give it a 7 out of 10 for effort of squeezing everything in from the console versions its identical bar the graphics, curious to see what the DLC will be
Oh and for those who are downloading it, the game takes up 6531 blocks which is the biggest thing I have downloaded so far on 3DS.
Oh and to everyone saying they hope its better than Mario Kart 7 it isn't, Graphically Mario Kart 7 is better it runs a 60fps and just has that Nintendo polish however Sonic all stars racing is doing a hell of a lot more, its essentially doing what the consoles levels are doing except on a smaller scale. It's the levels like the NIGHTS level where you can see the 3DS versions struggling the most theres a hell of a lot going on in those levels. I wonder if the game was made by a developer who understands the 3DS capabilities a bit better could have got it running even better.
I'm a little on the fence about this. I've seen a lot of the stages on youtube and all of them look amazing, but I'm worried about the slowdown this version might suffer from. I can imagine my self wanting to play online a lot, and it'd probably be a deal breaker if the frame rate wasn't properly smooth.
I do think it's odd that it's selling for a lower price though - I wonder if that distinction will carry over to the US release :/
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
