I knew that Pokkén Tournament was a commercial failure for the arcade. However, fortunately, both its Wii U and deluxe Switch versions are million-selling video games worldwide, except in South Korea where it was absolutely not available beyond this point. Even though it's up to Nintendo and the Pokémon Company to decide on this for Bandai Namco Studios, do you think that a Pokkén Tournament sequel is likely for the Nintendo Switch 2? Why? Please let me know, thanks.

Producer Masaaki Hoshino hasn't done anything since Pokemon Unite.
Is that game still getting updates? Edit: Pokemon Unite was updated last month.
So a new Pokken isn't an impossibility...I guess, but unlikely any time soon it seems.
So, by the way, why do you think that a new Pokkén is unlikely any time soon it seems. You think that's because it was a commercial failure originally for the Japanese video arcade machine?
If Pokemon Unite is actively being updated, it's fair to assume Masaaki Hoshino is working on that and not a new game.

Why would you want a sequel? Nintendo didn't support the original at all. No new content, just some new characters and that was it. That's pitiful for a fighting game.
The original barely had any content as well. It was a barebones $60 game.
I doubt it but perhaps there will be some ports of tekken. Bamco has been stingy with its non anime fighters.

Although the Bamco quota has been met for the year (Elden Ring, Shadow Labyrinth, and Tamagotchi Plaza), a Tekken port would nice. Although the FGC is livid about the "defense focused" season two updates in Tekken 8. I can't remember the last time Tekken has had backlash this bad.

@Magician haha, I don’t play tekken when it is current (don’t like the series so I wait for the final edition) so I hadn’t heard much about the scene. I’m really hoping for Soul Calibur (aside from 2) but just hope Bamco changes their policy now that street fighter 6 can run on Switch 2.
