To be honest I've only taken like 15 steps in the first dungeon and haven't fought anyone yet. My life is to hecktic and had to go to work early from drama. The music is excellent if not a little to elevator style. The graphics are really colorful and vibrant. That's all I can really say so far. I'll get into this more tonight but by then you will be miles ahead of me. Oh and the demo has a level 10 limit to the characters but didn't say if you coulnt go dealer into the dungeons or not.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
Impressions after completing the first mission: It's very unique although not really my style. That said, I really enjoyed it so far. Drawing in the map is kinda cool and the combat works well. It's also really nice that random encounters don't happen every 3 steps, the developers know you're going to be taking your time and drawing your map. I just might check this game out when it's released.
Would it be worth playing any of the prequels?
^I've only played EO3. I definitely recommend it if you like challenging first person dungeon crawlers. But if you are looking to try and beat one before this is released don't even try.

Like merg said play 3 first but you might need to invest like 80-100 hours to beat it! The first one is really hard and lacks a lot of new features.

I came into the demo not expecting much, as this is my first experience with the game, but man did it deliver! I really enjoy the music and the art style, even though the first person angle isn't too much for me. The combat is well done and the skills go more in depth than i woul've expected. I thought the map drawing would be a hassle and annoyance but i actually really like the idea and being able to annotate specific places. I also only completed the first mission and had a frightening run in with a baboon (baboons are bad q_q). Etrian Odyssey is official on my radar
