@Overzeal They changed two words to something that in no way affects the user experience, hardly censorship. Also, NintendoLife clearly isn’t censoring the topic, because it all the comments seem to be talking about.

Some of the footage includes versions of old mini games for more than 4 players.
Edit: looking at more footage, it seems that the 5th player is a cpu from a special space on the board, and the winner gets to keep them as a parter, a la Super Mario Party.
Trying to clear Gold stakes… got all the way to the final boss with a Polychrome Stencil build before the final blind ended up being “Disables a random joker”- not ideal for a deck whose entire gimmick is only having one joker.
@SpeedRunRocks Game development takes time. Toby has been very open about what’s happening behind the scenes, including causes of delays, which I think is much better than silence, even if it can feel like teasing at times.
I gave the PS5 version a 7/10- a fun look at New Caledonian culture with mechanics clearly inspired by BOTW, Wind Waker and Mario Odyssey, but somewhat shallow feeling.
The Outer Wilds and The House in Fata Morgana are both 30% off- two of the best games I’ve ever played, you owe it to yourself to check them out if you haven’t already.
@SuperRetroArt I think it’s a good feature for newer players. If you don’t like grinding then just… don’t. Also, I’m not sure the series has ever been consistent on that front. In the recent Three Houses, you can only do a limited number of extra battles on hard mode, whereas in the early Gaiden, you can grind infinitely.
2017: Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, MK8D, Horizon, Persona 5 (in the west), Nier Automata, Cuphead, PUBG, Resident Evil 7, Splatoon 2, Xenoblade 2, Danganronpa 3, Fire Emblem Echoes, Metroid Samus Returns, Hollow Knight, Nioh, What Remains of Edith Finch, Puyo Puyo Tetris, Superstar Saga remake, Crash Bandicoot trilogy, Dragon Quest XI (in Japan), Sonic Mania, Mario+Rabbids, Divinity Original Sin 2, Doki Doki Literature Club, Fortnite, Star Fox 2, A Hat in Time, and more. 1986 is inarguably one of the most influential years in gaming, but 2017 has the most fun games today.
If Magikarp Jump has a million fans, then I am one of them. If Magikarp Jump has ten fans, then I am one of them. If Magikarp Jump has only one fan then that is me. If Magikarp Jump has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is against Magikarp Jump, then I am against the world.
(Also some games are missing- Sleep, Duel, etc.)
NSMBU is on par with Wonder. Super Mario Land 2 is better than any of the games in All Stars. Mario Party DS is one of the best Mario Party games. Mario Party Island Tour is… OK, but definitely not as terrible as some make it out to be.
Echoing the sentiments above, FE Engage is my GOTY. Yes, the writing is weak, but it has the best gameplay in the series by a landslide (though as a game as a whole, I like 3H better). My favourite games that released years ago but I only just got round to playing are Outer Wilds, Inscryption, The House in Fata Morgana, Persona 5 (an all time top 10) and Persona 3 (but oddly, I didn’t get along with Persona 4).
@nessisonett One of my favourite games when I was a child. As twin Pokemon fans who were bad at sharing, my brother and I had a designated PokePark slot rota.

I mean, you also have to fall through darkness for 15 seconds straight with noticeable frame rate dips. Pretty sure some loading is going on there.

I think they did something similar for BOTW too.

Re: Talking Point: 'Remake' Vs. 'Remaster' - What's Your Definition?
It’s only a remake if it has been coded from the ground up. If it is based on the original code, it is a remaster.

NSMBU is on par with Wonder.
Super Mario Land 2 is better than any of the games in All Stars.
Mario Party DS is one of the best Mario Party games.
Mario Party Island Tour is… OK, but definitely not as terrible as some make it out to be.
