I've been playing this on my Galaxy and it plays really well. I hate mobile shooters with a passion but this one is ok. Graphics are as you would expect but the auto shoot when you aim helps. Hopefully this is replaced and you use triggers to shoot in the Switch version.
It doesn't hold a candle to CoD, Halo etc but for free it might be fun. Will probably looks horrible in docked mode.
Been on the fence about this. Got to admit I'm not a big indie fan and tried Steamworld, Shantae etc and didn't get hooked. Anybody in the same boat but played this and loved it?
@sandman89 The console has been selling well but it's now settled back down and is 2nd to PS4 again, by a decent margin. Still selling much better than Xbox though.
It seems Japan is where the huge Switch Sale figure are. We have to remember that it's summer, so sales drop off anyway.
Tesco sold off Kirby Star Allies for £10 and won't be stocking it again. It seems the same will be happening with FIFA 18 and a few other games as well.
This doesn't surprise me and could be proof of a slight downturn in the Switch's popularity. Tesco have been selling Switch games off due to poor sales. Our local Game, which is a very popular store, being in a small University city, has reduced it's stock of games due to poor sales.
I think Nintendo needed a more diverse showing at E3 to garner more interest in the Switch for its 2nd year.
For Nintendo fans, it was an ok E3 but for general gamers, not so.
I hope it picks up again soon. Maybe a couple of Directs will announce some new games. Panic Button promised a new port.
I've played a lot of Fortnite on PS4 & Xbox One and loved it. I jumped into the Switch version expecting it to be rubbish but it isn't. Well at least in docked mode.
In handheld, enemies in the distance are running at about 5fps and very hard to hit with an unscoped assault rifle and distant detail is hit or miss. So handheld isn't the best experience.
So that leaves docked mode but I have a PS4 Pro for that, with higher resolution & frame rate.
If the Switch was my only console, I'd be as happy as a Llama and loving every minute of it.
@Varkster It would be but remember that these games are developed for the consoles with the largest user base and scope for running the game as the developers envision it. Doom on Switch is a good game but as soon as it went gold on, the Dev teams would have started on their next project. The base code was already there so they asked for another house, Panic Button, to port it. You also have to remember that the Switch won't be able to run a lot of games. Especially games that require a decent CPU & GPU.
@Varkster At the moment, the Switch user base isn't large enough compared to PC, PS4 & Xbox for them to justify the in house resources required for the ports. Just be thankful we are getting ports.
I'm looking forward to seeing how it plays on Switch but my only worry is that there are parts of the game where enemies in the distance are quite small and they may be very hard to spot on Switch. I also think the drop to 30fps will affect gameplay in places.
I'm a BIG Nintendo fan and I love how they got Fortnite running on the Switch but come on folks, this version is awful compared with PS4, Xbox One and even the iOS version.
In handheld mode you will be hard pressed to see anybody in the distance without a scope and if you do, they move at about 5fps meaning aiming is hit or, mainly, miss.
The graphics are rough and there's a lot of pop in during docked mode. It's playable but not great.
@Stocksy I bought it yesterday and love it. The UI is a bit cluttered and sometimes it's a pain to hit the right button, but it's still a very good game if you love football.
Bought it yesterday and I'm addicted. The touch controls take a bit of getting used to and I keep hitting the wrong icon with my Shrek fingers but that hasn't detracted from the fun I'm having.
It's not perfect but it's a great game for football addicts and stat geeks.
@Marios-love-child I'm a fan too and loved the first one. The humour is all there and the combat is not to complex and a lot of fun. Played the second one for an hour or so just before they announced it for Switch. Can't wait to play it through. As a fan, you'll love it.
If a new a new Doom is coming I can't see it launching for Switch on day one or at all. I think we are more likely to get more info on Wolfenstein 2 and a Fallout port, probably New Vegas.
I've not bought this yet as I was holding off until the physical release but it's less than half the price of the physical so I'm thinking it's not worth the extra. Any opinions?

Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Holds Strong In The UK Charts Top Ten
@chardir that will be a big indicator of how well Switch is doing at the moment.

@SmaggTheSmug I'm not sure if it counts towards sales but a lot of shops are throwing Fallout 4 in free with consoles, so that could be the reason.

Re: Review: Fortnite (Switch eShop)
@BensonUii Staffing is key to this game. It also seems to have a touch of auto aim assistance too.

A great port of a very fun game.

Re: Video: Here's How Fortnite On Switch Compares To The PS4 Version
@YANDMAN It's not easy because the frame rate is terrible. Compared to other versions it's terrible.
Re: Nintendo's Share Price Plummets In Response To E3 Direct
I expected more from Nintendo but I've gotta say it was a terrible show. "We have Smash Bros" Goodbye.
Sony had a solid show and Xbox had some good stuff to show from 3rd parties.
I'm worried for the future of Switch because of the lack of 3rd party support at E3.
This year could make or break the Switch.
Re: Video: Here's How Fortnite On Switch Compares To The PS4 Version
@YANDMAN Fingers crossed. I've managed a few kills but they're a lot harder to pull off at distance than on other consoles.
Re: Video: Here's How Fortnite On Switch Compares To The PS4 Version
@nhSnork The players with names are your squad mates.
Re: Video: Here's How Fortnite On Switch Compares To The PS4 Version
@bluedogrulez There's a big difference between both versions in terms of draw distance and, sometimes, frame rate.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's E3 2018 Went Big On Smash Bros. But Left Us Wanting More
In terms of new announcements, it was disappointing. Where was Metroid 4? Animal Crossing, 3rd party support, Travis Strikes Again?
Re: FIFA 19 Officially Confirmed For Nintendo Switch, Launches This September
@kobashi100 Exactly. The first didn't sell well on Xbox or PS but was a very good game and would do well on Switch.
Re: FIFA 19 Officially Confirmed For Nintendo Switch, Launches This September
Looks like EA doesn't have any faith in the Switch. I wouldn't of minded Sea of Solitude.
Re: FIFA 19 Officially Confirmed For Nintendo Switch, Launches This September
That's great but why not bring Unravel 2 to the Switch? It's the perfect platform for it and I would expect it to out sell the PS4 & Xbox versions.
Re: Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn Is Free For Anyone Who Bought NBA Playgrounds Pre-Update
I've been playing Shaq Fu for an hour or so and I'm really enjoying it. Combat is fun, music is excellent and some decent comedy. Very good game.

@ottospooky Nice. I pre-ordered from Argos when they had it at £35. Now it's £46.99.

Another 64 game I'd love to see remade or HD'd would be Star Wars Pod Racer.
Loved that game.
Re: NBA Playgrounds 2 Rated By The Australian Classification Board
Loved the first one and still play it now. There's a trailer for the sequel on PlayStation's YouTube channel right now.
Re: Rumour: FIFA 18 To Get New World Cup Mode As A Digital Add-On
Will we get FIFA 19? I missed 18 on Switch after putting a lot of time in on Xbox. Footy Manager will do for now.
Re: Sega Teases "Huge Announcement" To Be Revealed Tomorrow
@NESlover85 Agreed & I'll raise you a Powerstone.
Re: Sega Tease "Huge Announcement" To Be Revealed Tomorrow
Dreamcast 2 capable of 4k 120fps and launches with Sonic Adventure remastered & Crazy Taxi.
Re: Football Manager Touch 2018 Kicks Off Today On Nintendo Switch
@NaviAndMii Don't forget life is a game of 2 halves. Work & FM.

Re: Bethesda Talks Plans For Future Support On The Switch
@ozwally Prey was very underrated and should have sold way more copies. Really excellent game.
Re: Bethesda Talks Plans For Future Support On The Switch
I'd love to see GTA Vice City Remastered on Switch. My favourite GTA game. I'd also love the original remastered as well.
Re: Bethesda Talks Plans For Future Support On The Switch
@Benjoo Brink was excellent. They tried something a bit different and got mauled. Loved that game but I think it's dead.
Re: Bethesda Talks Plans For Future Support On The Switch
@Alikan Hopefully we'll get a Metroid. I'm also thinking that Pokémon might be a surprise release announced at E3. That would keep the momentum up.
Re: Rumour: Sounds Like Football Manager Will Finally Be Calling The Shots On Switch
Social & Family Life over.
Re: Review: Devious Dungeon (Switch eShop)

Re: Review: Super Daryl Deluxe (Switch eShop)
Great news. Been looking forward to this since it was announced. Looks like a lot fun.
Re: Save Your Loose Change With SNK 40th Anniversary Collection On Switch
IKARI WARRIORS?? TAKE MY MONEY 👍
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend?
Started Zelda BotW from scratch and some Sweet Splatoon. Gotta do my bit.
Re: Video: Here's What Wolfenstein II Looks Like Running On Nintendo Switch
@Curlybobs It does but the frame rate is awful. I hope they fix it because it is obviously affects the gameplay.
Re: Video: Here's What Wolfenstein II Looks Like Running On Nintendo Switch
@CANCEROUS Me too. Held off on buying Doom again for PS4. Also wanted to wait for South Park, Yooka Laylee & now Crash. I'll do the same for Spyro.
Re: Hands On: Cleaning Up The Streets With Raging Justice On Switch
Love this SoR style game. I'll be picking it up, if the price & content are right.

Re: All-Star Fruit Racing Powerslides Onto Switch This July
Shame. Online would have been the cherry on the top. If I bought this and then found out, I'd go bananas and I'd be berry, berry upset.
