Nintendo announced Version 13.0.1 of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate would be arriving at some point this week, and it's now available. Although DLC fighter support has officially come to an end, there's still some exciting stuff included in this latest update.
There are several fixes and game balance adjustments - including fixes and changes to fighters. The final DLC fighter Sora from Kingdom Hearts has also had the length of some of his animations adjusted to match other fighters. One other highlight is the added support for the Metroid Dread amiibo.

- Game-balance adjustments have been made. Please see the details of fixes and changes to fighters.
- The Samus (Metroid Dread) & E.M.M.I. (Metroid Dread) amiibo are now supported.
- Note: If you go to amiibo in Games & More and tap these amiibo to the NFC area, you can receive their spirits.
- Note: Samus (Metroid Dread) can be used as a Figure Player (FP).
- Several issues have been fixed to improve gameplay experience.

It’s about time I get back into this game. Rusty as heck, but it will all come back to me.

@UglyCasanova Donkey Kong buffs are actually big. Meta knight might be able to kill and that's be cool if since he's been kinda bad for two game in retribution for brawl. Min min and pythra nerfs are welcome. Other than that, it's a large balance patch that doesn't really nerf anyone except those two. Really only the mid tier characters and plant got buffed in this which means the meta could be changing a lot from this patch. Some characters that were just okay may see an increase in win rates and usage, basically.

Glad this final balance patch was actually pretty substantial, it's too bad that Incineroar didn't get anything but I'm really excited about Piranha Plant, Mewtwo, Meta Knight, Mega Man, and Rosalina and Luma as characters I've all dabbled in

@PtM why shouldn’t it? Sora’s counter has a different hit property compared to a lot of other counters.

@UglyCasanova Basically, all the crappy fighters got buffed and the new fighters that were a little overpowered got nerffed, making the game even more balanced.
Pretty disappointing patch to be honest. Can't see any of these changes really making a difference.

@YusseiWarrior3000 I would buy costumes for characters like Samus, Olimar and more, too bad they only ever made them for the Miis.
Sephiroth should have been buffed. His nair should have longer active frames and the end lag on some of his moves should've been reduced. And his grab range is terrible.

Finally got the Mario golf & No more Heroes spirits! I have no idea how i missed them.
Pyra&Mythra definitely needed a little nerf.
Still, I am sad that my Pyra Up-B Shenanigans might be even more risky now xD

Glad K. Rool wasn't touched. As for the others, I'm glad everyone involved was mostly buffed. Min Min's nerf I see is a minor setback; from what they say it only affects shields instead of actual damage output. I can also deal with the laser beam not sticking around as much as well as neutral aerials having a little more lag.
So I have to wait til the next game for them to FINALLY nerf Pikachu and Zelda final smash. Other than that, these patchnotes are what I suspected, not substantial.
@Alztru He's supposed to be a counter puncher character. He does feel a bit bad to play, but his style is set up to basically spam range attacks until the other character comes to him. Which means he gets wrecked by fast characters.

@PtM If Smash should make moves “canon” accurate then Pyra/Mythra, Shulk, Bayonetta etc need to be a lot stronger then.
This isn’t even the first time Wonder Wing gets trumped. Mii Brawler Counter Grab can scoop Wonder Wing because again its specific hit property. Or just grab Wonder Wing period.

No one I use has been buffed, which is weird, because so many other characters have been. Unlucky again!
This can't be the final update because they've still got amiibo coming - they have to update the game for amiibo support (Samus and EMMI, for example)

Honestly a mediocre patch.
The only notable changes were the nerfs for Min Min and Pythra/Mythra which were very much deserved.
As for the buffs themselves all of them just buffs the strengths of some characters and even then some were just by a very miniscule amount that won't make a difference anyway. And the most meaning buffs were just buffing characters strengths anyway. Thats been a problem ever since the start of ultimate.
The final patch doesn't feel like a sendoff to ultimate, just a half assed update to tweak some minor things and throw in some last second adjustments to characters.
Very disappointing.
@AW1Long It's the last update insofar as balance adjustments and Spirit Events. They're still going to be squashing bugs in the near future.
