The OlliOlli games are certainly among the royalty of early-ish Indie games, with publisher Roll7 also showing love for Nintendo hardware over the years. You may have played the neat combination of the first two games, OlliOlli: Switch Stance, in more recent times.
Pleasingly it was confirmed today that an all-new entry in the series is heading to the eShop this Winter - OlliOlli World. Not only does it have a colourful artstyle, but this time it'll seemingly have more of a sense of story and adventure; we expect the controls and gameplay to be as tight as ever too.
We think this looks pretty neat, will you be putting this on your wishlist?

Art style is cool but I don't see what makes it unique in the world of Autorunners.
Day 1. Love the OlliOlli series.... even if I spend half of it crunched like a pretzel.
looks like Adventure Time
The art style is cool, but was it just me or were the backgrounds jittery as if there were frame drops? It made me feel quesy.
Even the twitter post vid seems to have the same motion.
Ohh I played the first one on my 3DS a lot this looked really good!
@Noid Mainly the controls and the combo system. It has a lot more depth than a basic endless runner.
Really exited for this! Loved the first two games and this looks significantly more ambitious.
Love the art style, if it's 10 or under I'll bite but if not then I'll wait for a sale
@Perryg92 I noticed it too. I’ve not played the series but judging by these comments they’re held highly so I’d like to think the developer is good enough to optimise it well.
Aside from performance the art style looked really nice and I quite like an auto runner so I’ll be keeping an eye on it.
Liked the WiiU games. Will see what the reviewers say about this. This'll be on the wishlist. TBH, will most likely buy
@Noid The original games are not auto-runners in the slightest; more like 2D Tony Hawk with discrete courses that you grind and trick your way through in your own style, trying to find and execute perfect lines to rack up huge scores.
The trailer for this one makes it look more "endless" but I have full faith in these guys that it will be more of an adventure than a hamster wheel.
@Noid I love the first two games, and I wouldn’t call them auto-runners really. More like Sonic meets Tony Hawk. They’re a lot of fun.
@Noid The OlliOlli series has always been just a variation of the runner/rhythm genre with a skateboarding theme. As a big fan of skateboarding games this series doesn't really feel like a skateboarding game, they are usually all about exploration and using the environment in creative ways, while this is just all about timing button combos as you go from point A to point B.
love skateboarding. love video games. love skateboarding games.
no interest in this.
I played the first game on Wii U and thought it was fun enough. Hoping this turns out well.
hahahaha as a skateboarder, I loved the first game! Spent a lot of time with it on my ps3. Bought the double pack for switch and haven't played it yet. This looks so great, and a cool direction for the series. I'll definitely get it.
As much as I love skateboarding games, I just couldn't seem to get a handle on having to time a button press in order to 'land' any tricks in the first 2 games. This 3rd one looks nice, but really hope they change up the controls a bit, removing the 'land' requirement - otherwise I'll personally pass.
