As featured in the Nintendo Life Indie Spotlight presentation, Alwa's Legacy has been confirmed for a Switch release at the end of September. The game, a sequel to Alwa's Awakening, will be available on Switch eShop on 29th September.
The latest adventure from developer Elden Pixels continues mining that delicious vein of classic Metroidvania-style gameplay as Alwa embarks a whole new adventure with dungeons and enchanted items to discover in a brand-new non-linear 2D platformer with that good old-fashioned retro flavour.
The game launched on Steam back in June, and the PC version currently holds a 'Very Positive' rating. Check out the launch trailer above and feel free to browse some official details and screenshots below:

Attention devs: there are people out there that hear “Metroidvania” and tune your game out. Change it up, folks!
If you haven't played Alwa's Awakening yet, I can highly recommend it. I'm looking forward to the sequel.
Dang now September is loaded
@Rexenoboy Always been on my 'One day...' list but yet to pull the trigger.
It's got some decent puzzles in it. I can recommend this game.
I still have Alwa's Awakening on my backlog. That game has never gone on sale. Maybe it will now with a sequel coming.
@MeloMan Yes! One of the devs here. We're putting Alwa's Awakening om its first ever sale September 28th!
@MikaelForslind Oh awesome, thank you. That one's coming off my backlog soon then. I like how the series progressed from 8 to 16 bit, nice touch.
