Another busy week has flown by, with Cooking Mama's troubling cryptocurrency allegations, Pokémon player ban threats and a ridiculously large Switch sale all going on within a matter of days, but it's finally time to kick back and enjoy a nice long weekend.
Members of Team Nintendo Life have shared their gaming plans for the weekend below, and we'd love for you to join in via our poll and comment sections. Enjoy!

The only game I've been playing on my Switch for weeks now is Animal Crossing: New Horizons and this weekend with Bunny Day celebrations taking place it'll probably be no different. I'm also planning to do a massive clean up around my island, as it's become a bit of a dumping ground in recent times. With all those balloons flying overhead and Easter eggs popping up out of the ground and water, I often find myself dropping items all over the place. It's got out of control! So I think it's time to take action and spend a good hour or two simply walking around picking everything up and either selling it or putting it back where it belongs.
If I really manage to rip myself away from my island, I might revisit the Aussie-developed 3D platformer, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger.

This week I forced myself to break away from Animal Crossing: New Horizons for half an hour to dip into The Messenger. I’ve only played the first few stages but I’m already enjoying it a lot. I’m sensing a Shovel Knight-style devotion to detail, although if anything I’m enjoying this game's gameplay and sense of humour even more. Assuming I have the willpower to resist my island for an hour or two, I’d love to spend some more time with it.
Otherwise, I’ll be busy doing Bunny Day things and trying to get cherry-blossom DIY cards while I’ve still got the chance.

I’m going to eat a lot of chocolate this weekend. I’m going to eat a lot of chocolate and I’m going to have a lot of naps where I dream about all the chocolate I ate before waking up and having some more chocolate. I’m also going to be prepping my reflexes for the apparently imminent arrival of Streets of Rage 4 by booting up Sega Genesis Classics - currently going mega cheap on the US eShop - and jumping back into the first three classic games, it really has been far too long since I blasted through them.
I’ve also recently reinstalled Cadence of Hyrule which is just absolutely amazing so I’m determined to stick with it over the Easter holiday and get it off my completely out of control backlog of shame. Hope you all have a good weekend, folks, and remember, the only proper way to open an Easter egg is to put the entire thing into your mouth at once.
Ryan Craddock, staff writer
Not that I would have been playing anything else anyway, but this weekend sees both a fishing tourney and the end of the Bunny Day event in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. With so much going on, how can I say no?
I've been spending the last few days building every single egg recipe I could get my hands on in hopes of meeting Zipper's demands, as well as trying to save enough money to do something, anything, for my bare, boring island's appearance. Seeing other people's islands makes me wonder how on Earth they've managed to afford such changes, so perhaps I need to up my game and start properly playing the Stalk Market?
Gonçalo Lopes, contributing writer
The lunacy of Saints Row IV: Re-Elected continues to entertain while my Animal Crossing: New Horizons live gig stage is almost complete so I can begin live music streaming sessions. Fans of ‘Gundam SEED Destiny’ will probably understand that I am quite eager after all these months playing SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays to deploy at long last a Gundam Destroy onto the battlefield (maybe even more than one if I’m feeling particularly sadistic).
My game of the week is Hero Must Die. Again. A JRPG that gives you seven days to live after you have saved the realm and see how you have influenced the lives of the common folk? Brilliant stuff!
As always, thanks for reading! Make sure to leave a vote in the poll above and a comment below with your gaming choices over the next few days...

Um...
Nintendolife staffs, today is Friday 10 April 2010. 😕
Bought AC:NH the previous weekend, so I'm hoping to unlock terraforming this weekend and when I do, I'm going to invest even more time in the game than I already have.
Besides that, I also bought Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair in the spring sale, which has been a blast so far. I usually play it whenever I have nothing left to do in Animal Crossing.
I was thinking I'd lost a day there but I'm not going mad, it is still Friday. Under lockdown, every day is the weekend.
I'll be playing Rogue Legacy, love it, The Witcher 3 and Rocket League too.
I'm going to try to finish astral chain
@Anti-Matter In the UK it is Good Friday; a bank holiday which essentially means our weekend starts today.
I'm half way through my current Pokemon Sword run and I have 5 days so I might just finish the main game this weekend. I'll be putting lots of time into Animal Crossing too of course.
It was weird seeing SEGA Mega Drive Classics listed. I recently dug it out again, partly because my wife recently bought a Switch Lite but also because I decided to play some of the games again. Along with Doom, MD Classics will give me my nostalgia fix this weekend.
Who's going to be able to play Streets of Rage 4?
Me I'll be playing Animal Crossing, I'm in line for a very good profit on my turnips this afternoon.
Away from Switch it'll be some more Panzer Dragoon Saga and some other retro games
Seeing as my Animal Crossing Physical has been lost in the post??
I'll start playing one of the South Park games I downloaded from the eshop sale.
Which one should I start first?
I’m really hoping for some good turnip prices too. Tho I’m content taking my time with my island. I don’t get why so many people want to just rush thru everything in the game.. it really takes the joy out of every little progression. And that’s just not what crossing is about:) looking forward to the fishing tourney and bunny day too
AC:NH, BotW, Captain Toad
@tanaka2687
Oow.... I see...
I will be enjoying the following games:
1. Batman Arkham Knight on Xbox One.
2. Minecraft on Nintendo Switch.
3. Dishonored Definitive Edition on PS4.
4. A little World of Warcraft and Hearthstone on the side.
@Retron : I was going to buy Stretchers, but Nintendo Australia evidently hates money.
I intend to play Animal Crossing, DOOM II, and if I can tear myself away for long enough, a bit of Two Point Hospital and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon.
Remake 3
...again.
There are other games you say ?
More Animal Crossing. Plus some other games I need to finish. We'll see if I get to them as I haven't been playing as much as I would like. Been reading more though.
I've been having a long run on Civ6. Reached 1900's and getting bored - geographically limited in expansion and no large army. Also been rediscovering Grid Autosport. I did try Darkest Dungeon, but under the climate found it depressing. Might revisit Skyrim for the music and late night walks.
I'll be on Animal Crossing of course. mabey play some Saints Row 4 or Zombie Army Trilogy co-op with a friend.
I already finished RE3 so I started Death Stranding (PS4 Pro) last night, and I must say that the story and gameplay have me hooked so far.
Still need to finish Doom Eternal (Xbox One X) and I haven't even started Doom 64 yet.
Carrying on with Persona 5 Royal and some Animal Crossing.
This week I will be mostly playing
Final Fantasy 7 (which I’ve mentioned the last 2 weeks and not actually touched)
Mainly Octopath Traveler, I'm about 90 hours in now and on chapter 4 so I'm hoping to be done soon.
Been slacking on my Brain Training this month so I'll try and get that going again and find some time for Asphalt 9 and Link-a-Pix deluxe.
@gaga64
I faltered there about 7 hours in after crossing the ocean.
I really should go back to it.
But Nemmie and STARS !
Cat Quest 2🤪🤪 recently bought in sale , having a blast play........🤪🤪
Spent all day on the fishing tournament in Animal Crossing, takes so long to grind to 300 points. About to start my third route in Maitetsu: Pure Station and squeezing in a bit of Groove Coaster, One Step From Eden and Holedown on the side.
I will be downloading Hypercharge: Unboxed whilst it’s still in the sale, it looks a lot of fun especially since the huge update it had. I will also be playing:
Animal crossing
Tetris 99
Castlevania anniversary collection
The fishing tournament in Animal Crossing is so addictive! Shame it doesn't last a bit longer. Six is my current record. 😊 I hope that everyone is doing okay out there. Take care, and stay safe.
About 50 hours into Animal Crossing in under 2 weeks - this is definitely going to be my most played game on switch before too long.
I feel like I’ve made a bit of a mess of my island planting trees in the wrong place and not properly planning where to put things so I might try to move things around this weekend.
I mean, what even is a weekend anymore? I’m on furlough and isolating so it’s all blending together.
Anyway, Animal Crossing, Sega Mega Drive Classics (Toejam & Earl) and I started replaying Sonic Generations on PC, can’t wait to get to Rooftop Run.
I'm not getting enough sleep just lately and that's all thanks to Animal Crossing.I've never used my Switch as much in handheld mode as I have since buying this game.So yeah, more AC over the weekend too,I'll be taking part in the fishing tourney soon and finishing off making all things involving Easter Eggs.
On the ps4 side of things it will be Final Fantasy VII Remake...absolute Jem of a game.
Stay safe everyone.
VALORANT. Maybe some bits of AC too.
Grinding away at Super Metroid - my first playthrough of this classic - and finding those last few teensies on Rayman Legends...if I get through all that I'll be made up.
I'm mostly on Animal Crossing New Leaf Welcome amiibo. It's the newest game I own.
I’m hopelessly addicted to SMT Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker (3DS).
I’ve played about 30 hours in the last week which is a lot for me as I’m still working full time during the outbreak and I have a young family.
I just keep grinding: levelling up, cracking skills and fusing demons. There’s so much variety in combinations with 8 demons needed for your party.
I keep forgetting about progressing the story. Which has a cheeky humour and is improving but isn’t amongst my favourites in the SMT series so far in (Day 4).
The story is better than Tokyo Mirage Sessions for me at least and I do like the Fates system being a bit like social links.
Trying to trigger the last few Nabbits on New Super Mario Bros. Deluxe to get my 5 star save file. Then I'll be moving onto a few of the challenges. Amazing game for me.
My next games are Yooka Laylee and the Impoosible Lair and Toads treasure tracker! Have a nice and safe weekend all!
Since I'm counting yesterday as the weekend, since it's a long one, my wife and I have been playing Cat Quest 2 together and it's an absolute blast. We're looking forward to playing some more together today. I've also been playing more Black Eagles campaign in Fire Emblem Three Houses. Just made it to that big story twist after 40 hours, so I'm quite invested at this point.
My wife and I also finished Knights and Bikes last weekend. It was a cute adventure that really captured the spirit of being a kid. That final fight though was terribly conceived to the point of almost feeling impossible. It's an overwhelming amount of enemies to take down with such a bare bones moveset and limited amount of heals. Otherwise, a really good game.
Finally noting that I picked up some more games throughout the week. Got Chess Ultra, Invisigun: Reloaded, Double Cross and Volgarr the Viking on some sweet sales. I also discovered the existence of Hypercharge: Unboxed and had to grab that. The concept of a first person arena shooter as toys in house and toy store settings had me too excited not to try it.
Just picked up "The Stretchers" in the Sale, so looking forward to starting it shortly...
More Xenoblade on 3DS. Really tempted to preorder the definitive edition. Should have waited for that version before I started really but I’m totally hooked on the story now.
On Switch I’ve been starting out in Final Fantasy XII. Hasn’t quite grabbed me like 7, 9 and X did from a thematic viewpoint, but the battle system and gambits are cool.
Civ 6 and loving it. So addictive. Although it's a bit frustrating watching the seconds tick by between turns in the later game as the ai figures out a million things. Also playing as my native britain is quite amusing. Bradford is a pretty costal city, liverpool docklands keep getting pillaged by barbarians, big ben is in bristol and the pyramids in london. Also being constantly told that Sheffield needs more housing, when I'm literally stuck in my real house in sheffield seems odd!
Animal crossing and slay the spire
Dark Souls Remastered & Pokèmon Emerald
@DTfeartheBEARD I’m thinking of picking up death stranding since it’s on sale. Should I??!!
Been playing some Xenoblade Chronicles 3D and I'm absolutely loving it! I didn't quite get it when i first got it but damn it is good.
GOSH...!!
Finally i have finished Super Mario Galaxy Wii just now ! 😩😁
It was Ridiculous hard to fight against Bowser at Final Battle. I have Failed several times. I don't think i want to finish all Purple Star challenges. Depend on my mood.
After dinnertime, i think i will play Pokepark 2: Wonders Beyond Wii. Long time not playing that game. 😅
A few of these comments are really making me want to start Xenoblade Chronicles 3D - but I have to finish The Witcher III first. So, maybe some time in May? I’ll probably start on 3DS just as the Switch version comes out!
Besides the usual suspects of the last few weeks, I've been doing some PictoQuest and Evoland on Switch, so they're a probable option. Might taste the recently grabbed Regalia as well.
Meanwhile, in Xenoblade 2, I found myself using fast travel (and thus, going back to the quest/chart backlog) long before chapter 8. The early chapter 7 itself tasks you with returning to a previous location and doesn't even tell you how, let alone send you to board a ship. Guess it's really the way it's supposed to be here. ¯(ツ)/¯
Oh well, no one said I can't stay "masochistic" and travel strictly between ports and other titan "entry points".😆
Birthday this past week lead me to getting Super Mario Party, so planning to play that, and enjoy the Asphalt 9 Easter event. Also, thinking about powering up my GameCube for Mario Kart Double Dash, been in the mood to play it. May play some other games too, but not sure which ones yet.
@Anti-Matter Congrats on beating Super Mario Galaxy!
@Sunsy
Thank you. 😁
Btw, i saw Rosalina said that i still have to collect another 59 Stars again for unlocking secret thing. What was that ?
Is that Optional challenge to get 120 Stars after i get first 60 Stars to beat Bowser ?
@Mgene15 Well it's definitely a slow burn with a lot of cut scenes and information to take in. The visuals are gorgeous and the voice acting is top notch.
This game is unlike anything I have ever played before. I'd say the game is worth full price. Right now it's half price, so that's a steal In my opinion.
@Anti-Matter You're welcome. Sadly I haven't played Super Mario Galaxy yet, from the sounds of it, it sounds like extra replay value. Hoping to pick this game up one day, it's been one I've been wanting to get for awhile too, I do remember renting the second one.
Persona 5 Royal and Animal Crossing.
My addiction of Animal Crossing is getting out of hand lol. Still need to finish the Mega Man Zero ZX Collection
Some Warface. Bought Hypercharge Unboxed and Nazi-Zombie Army and they look both great, but are very boring compared to Warface. And my girlfriend wants to play this "wool thread game", so I will play Unravel 2 as well.
Switch:
Xbox:
Yoshi's Woolly World (Wii U) - Starting the second world this weekend.
Fallout 3 (Games For Windows) - Really taking my time with this one.
Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles HD (Windows Phone) - Still stuck in the sewers, going to take a decent crack at it this weekend.
@KitsuneNight that’s worrying... played last night for the first time in weeks and got aboard the boat, so pretty close to where you gave up...
Animal Crossing for about 20 minutes a day. I can see that I'll have given up altogether after another couple of weeks. My daughters haven't been playing so there's been no real impetus to continue.
So what have been playing? Second playthrough of Resi 4 mostly. Bought AC Rebel Collection in the sale and now can't decide whether to add Alien Isolation or Divinity 2 to my digital collection whilst they're both on offer. Can't justify both.
Xbox One — Modern Warfare and Bioshock
Switch — Sega Genesis Collection
More Animal Crossing
Been playing bare knuckle 3 on mega drive classics. Played perfect dark wondering where 20 years went.! Have seen others playlists mite play sm galaxy or resi 4 x x x x x take care everyone x d x x x
I'm ripping through the Mega Man Zero games on the Zero/ZX Legacy Collection. This series just got better and better the longer it went on...I'm currently on Zero 4, easily my favorite of the Zero games since it did away with having to get good ranks to unlock boss skills, instead going for a "beat the harder version of the stage to unlock the skill" gimmick. I also enjoy collecting parts and making new equipment.
I unlocked Ultimate Mode for Zero 3, and once I've done so for Zero 4, I'll be running through ZX twice so I can keep Model X throughout the whole game. Model X is so much fun since it has the Mega Man X2 double charge shot, my favorite buster upgrade in the whole Mega Man franchise. The whole biometal system is fun. It's like getting to play as multiple different Mega Man characters in one game as opposed to just two or three. Gosh, I love Mega Man!
@gaga64
Nah, this isn't the first time I played FF7.
And I have a tendency to lose interest or to get bored with really long games and drop them for years at a time.
i last played Dark Souls 2 in 2018 and I was close to the endgame.
And I am in the endgame of FF4 but dropped it 3 years ago
I wil go back ..eventually.
Halo 5 and Bloodstained on Xbox. I really wanted to get Bloodstained on switch but it looks so much better on Xbox.
Cat Quest 2 and River City Girls on switch.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions on Wii U.
Mad, despite being on lockdown, I haven't touched my Switch. I've been drawing a lot and listening to music instead! I might well get back into mixing on my decks to keep me occupied.
Saying that though, I really should finish Luigi's Mansion 3.
Brutal Legends
Halo Wars
Madworld
Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Animal crossing and final fantasy 7 original. If i have time Sega genesis classics and goosebumps.
Going to do the Max Raid event in Sword then get back into Astral Chain. I just got around to starting Astral Chain last week, and boy is it better than I expected. I'm typically not into a lot of beat em ups and I've largely ignored Platinum's IPs because the gameplay looks repetitive and boring, but this game most certainly isn't. The combat has a surprising amount of depth to it and it's just plain fun.
On Switch: Luigis Mansion 3 and The Touryst.
On Xbox: Metal Gear Solid 5 and F1 19.
Switch: Animal Crossing new horizons
Xbox one: Borderlands game of the year edition
@KitsuneNight fair play. It’s my first time, and I tend to keep slogging away at whatever I’m playing until it’s finished (unless the hardness starts to outweigh the fun of playing, which is pretty rare for me. Most notable example being TMNT on the NES).
I always worry that if I leave a game for too long then I’ll lose whatever skills or reflexes I’ve built up. That being said, I had a gap of 22-years with both Amazing Spider-Man and Wario Blast on the Game Boy before coming back and finishing them both within 24-hours of restarting.
Animal Crossing New Horizons, NBA 2k 20, Breath of the Wild, Spyro, and Crash Insane Trilogy, maybe even Starlink Battle for Atlas.
I’ll be playing Final Fantasy 7 Remake obviously, and some Animal Crossing New Horizons here and there when I get a break from my job.
Today will be Animal Crossing New Horizons for the most part, then some Hypercharge: Unboxed with the wife. Tomorrow will be Leisure Suit Larry- Wet Dreams Don't Dry, and Skullgirls 2nd Encore.
Just got Hypercharge: Unboxed the other day and I've been enjoying it immensely. Have yet to save all 3 cores, but I'm doing pretty good. It's always the green core I lose.
Woah, I just finished Phantasy Star II on Sega Genesis Classics yesterday! For some reason I played the series in reverse order. Turns out that's... not the best way to play them. Next up for me, Sega Ages Phantasy Star! Though a million other games on that collection are super tempting... Shining Force 2 is practically begging for me to not finish any other games on my backlog.
More XB1 stuff, I'm in the last act of Gears 5 so that may be completed this weekend. MCC and Halo 5 still have double XP going on too.
If I can get through April mostly relying on XB1 stuff then my Switch backlog should cover me until Wonderful 101 Remastered and Xenoblade unless those 2 games get delayed (a very real possibility).
I'll be flexing the tactical side of my brain in Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright this weekend. I played the Conquest route well over a year ago and thought it was about time to give Hoshido a try. I'm starting a completely new game; both versions are physical. While it would've made more sense to buy this route as DLC, I found it on clearance for a cheaper price than the digital add-on several months ago.
While I suspect I'll finally succumb to a couple of games in the excellent Switch eShop sale going on, for now I'm visiting the wonderfully wacky and VERY Japanese world of Katamari Damacy Reroll. The game is an absolute riot!
Stay safe folks! Happy Easter!
Been binging Castle Rock and Buzzfeed Unsolved with the wife the past week and will continue this weekend. Think when I get to some gametime it'll probably be poking my Playstation Classic a second time out of sheer curiousity and playing Gungeon, entering or exiting depending on my mood.
C'mon, we know half the staff will be playing Final Fantasy VII. Just admit it!
@Nic-Noc20th-C I’ve just started Stick of Truth- awesome so far. I’d start with that one personally so you can appreciate the improvements of the second game but I don’t think it’s necessary!
I have too many backlogged games I need to go back and beat. Gigawrecker, at least one installment in the Megaman Zero / Z/X legacy collection, Astral Chain, Cadence of Hyrule. I need to beat at least 2 before I decide to get Trials of Mana or get Tales of Vespiria on its next sale. And need to beat at least 3 before Phantasy Star Online 2 US PC is released.
@neogyo I am with you. I think many want to rush AC and be the first to discover things. I think many also are anxious to unlock terraforming so that they can reshape their island into custom art and layouts (like making your island resemble a pokemon ball or something). Which Is fine. They are welcome to play it the way they want to play. I am in no rush, though.
@Anti-Matter @RPGamer
I would love a new PokePark game for Switch! So much fun!
I’ll be continuing my backlog adventure with South Park Stick of Truth. I’m thinking Hob after that but who knows..
I was hoping Stretchers would be on sale in US eshop but it’s not😓 I’ve had my eye on that one for awhile.
Also played the Super Mega Baseball 2 demo and am actually excited for the new one releasing ( hopefully still this month!). I’m thinking of picking that one up on release- I love when games support cross play!
Playing Rise if the Tomb Raider and as always Overcooked 2 on Xbox . Those last few achievements on Overcooked are elusive!
I'm playing all the doom games on switch. And also doom eternal
If all goes according to plan, I'll finally be folding the Blaster from LABO VR!
The Elephant and Camera have both been great hits with friends, family, and students, so I'm looking forward to it. :3
@Pod I am surprised Labo isn’t having a huge resurgence now that many families are needing to stay home more.
Mostly Animal Crossing. Such an addicting game. I already have over 100 hours in it!
Also still playing Fire Emblem Three Houses. Almost done with my second playthrough, this time as the Golden Deer.
And some Pokemon Shield too.
@kurtasbestos what did you think of the Phantasy Star games? I have only ever played 3, back when it came out in the 90s. I played the s*** out of it back then, trying to play through every lineage, so it has a big nostalgia factor for me...but objectively I’ve heard it’s the weakest in the series. Just curious to hear someone’s take who has recently played all 3...I’ve been meaning to play 2 and 4 on the SEGA classics collection.
Oh man, Shining Force 2 was great. Sunk many hours into the original!
Why is Street of Rage 4 in the list? It's supposed to release in two weeks...
Not much time to play right now but I'm giving Animal Crossing a whirl. Can't play for long though. My daughter will destroy my island as soon as she can play
65arnoldlayne8343s ago
Nioh 2 (I simply adore its mix of Diablo and Soulslike, I could play it forever trying to improve my builds).
On Switch: Dragon Quest Builders 2 (totally addictive gameplay loop) and Luigi's Mansion 3 (coop with my GF), it is amazing how it looks great on the TV
Going to be spending a lot of time outside in the yard this weekend as it's going to be gorgeous for the next few days. While inside I will be fishing in Animal Crossing and trying to complete Kunai (which is awesome BTW).
Stay safe everyone!
Animal Crossing for the fishing tourney and Bunny Day. Plus doing some Easter stuff with fam on Sunday. We live on a farm with my inlaws. Not leaving the house don't worry.
Last weekend I finished Okami HD which was fantastic. This weekend I am going to knuckle down on the story of Assassins Creed Black Flag.
I’ve got caught up in all the side quests for that game, which are addictive!
Loads. Gonna make the most of the current situation and working through the backlog in what would normally have been the busiest time of the year in my role.
Doom Eternal and Resident Evil 2 on the Xbox One X are the main games. If I can prise the Swirch away from the wife then I'll also throw a bit of Fire Emblem and Devil May Cry 3 into the mix.
Will also likely have a few credits on the Metal Slug games on the Neo Geo Mini, plus a run through of Streets of Rage 2 on the Mega Drive Mini before 4 lands in the next few weeks!
Animal Crossing and, after several years, I'm re-playing Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker. Still waiting for a Metal Gear Collection on Switch...
I’m at a loss. I really want a good switch RPG. I love turn based ones. I really can’t get into action rpgs. I have played octopath and dq11 Ff7/8/9 💖I loved xenoblade 2 tho. Ff12/10 don’t do it for me either 😓. Apart from that im trying to get some time in ACNL tho I only play it for a wee while. My town looks terrible compared to others 😂😂😂
FYI I meant another good switch RPG* I have persona 5 for PS4 which I 💖💖💖
Stay safe everyone
Animal crossing and nioh 2 for me.
@Tandy255
With all the coloring book online artists are sharing for free online these days, to help people pass the time, I'm a bit surprised too, now that you mention it.
LABO certainly has some quality sit-down-and-focus hours to it. I've been putting off the blaster because that alone is estimated to take two hours to construct. O.o
I am going back and forth between animal crossing new horizons and grid autosport.
I just bought a capture card so we can play Jackbox Party Pack 2, 3, 4 &6 with my friends and extended family online. We're tired of being isolated
@Pod I have the LABO Variety Kit, but I haven’t started it yet. Labo was clearanced everywhere I saw it, so I don’t think stores are carrying the kits now.
Everyone is focused on Ring Fit and AC, I think they forgot Labo was a thing.
@Poketto how about Battle Chasers Nightwar? It's on sale...
Continuing on in Fantasy Life on the 3ds. This is the perfect game for me right now. About 30 hours in, have been a Paladin and a Miner, now trying out the Blacksmith. I am really loving every minute of this game...
Also, I am thinking of finally beating Xenoblade Chronicles 3d. Been playing this game off and on for 2 years and love it, just never gotten around to actually beating it... I have gotten overwhelmed with side quests every time.
I played some Asphalt 9 earlier, such a fun game. I might finally start Child of Light this weekend as well, I picked it up a few weeks ago when it was on sell.
Outside of that, I'll be playing Super Mario World, online (via the SNES app) with the girlfriend, later on tonight. Since we can't see each other due to self-isolation, we've been slowly making our way through that game, as well as playing a lot of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Rune Factory 4!
I'm going hard in the paint on Starlink. I'm done dragging my feet, I got other games to get to!
I'll probably be playing Zelda BotW a lot this weekend, just like I did today. That said, I haven't beaten some games like Yooka-Laylee and The Impossible Lair, Octopath Traveler and Paper Mario TTYD (this one I cleared back in the day, but I wanted to play it again).
PS4: Doom Eternal
Switch: Velocity 2X
Going through Caligula effect: overdose, the world ends with you is next.
Also thinking about getting titan quest since it is on 70% sale
So far this weekend I have been playing bastion, roundguard, murder by numbers and steamworld heist. Would recommend all of these to everybody cant find any negatives so far apart from finding it difficult which to play when i pick up the switch for an hour!! Stay safe people
@Poketto have you tried divinity original sin 2? Turn based and everyone seems to rate it really highly. It's on sale ( uk at least) at the moment and I nearly bought it a few days ago but it sounds like a big time investment and really need to get through some back log....
i replaying my Luigi Mansion 3 until my Animal Crossing New Horizon arrives.
@Tandy255 yes! To each their own, but I just can’t help but feel that the game is not meant to be rushed... plenty of time to enjoy island life.
@Nye1779 ah yea I’ve heard it’s amazing. But also a little concerned about the scope of the game... same with Xenoblade. Never played it so really tempted but not sure I want to invest 100 hrs into it.
It has been Animal Crossing New Horizons, and Everspace for me!
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, Stranger Things 3, Down the Rabbit Hole, Real VR Fishing.
@SNES_Chalmers WOAH you're the same as me. My brother heard PSIII was a must-buy game and hated it. A few years later, after I started getting into RPGs (thanks to Shining Force) and gave it another try and absolutely loved it. Now that I've finally played through the others, I can totally see why it's considered the weakest entry in the series, and yet... it'll always be my favorite. I didn't realize how simple the graphics were until seeing PSIV (and even the battles in PSII), and the story is way simpler than I remembered, though I still find the multi-generation thing fascinating. But man... that music. Every song in that game is permanently etched into my brain, and the main theme is one of like three songs that I didn't write myself that I can play on the piano (take THAT, childhood piano lessons!). Anyway... if you have the chance, you really should play II and IV, and don't be ashamed of using a walkthrough. And the fast-forward button. And a generous dose of the rewind button (especially for PSII... people who finished that game in the pre-internet days are probably cyborg superhumans). PSIV is easily the best of the bunch, but it'll never beat the nostalgia factor of PSIII for me.
