We could put MUCH better characters in that slot if shes in there think of who else could be too.
Also im not too sure about the villager he looks cool but his attacks look limited and i believe their overloading megaman which is fine because he looks sweeet.
Well i diidnt say that the villager shouldnt be around itd be awesome if tom nook was in there ive always seen him as mean anyways (:
But i hate wii fit trainer
I hope luigis final smash uses his strobes from dark moon
I think Nintendo was going for a little quirkiness when they chose Wii Fit Trainer, you have to actually admire this trait of Nintendo and especially so that you can start to see and understand how the Smash Bros series works. Sure it looks weird to the casual gamer, but as a Nintendo fan, I actually smile when Nintendo shows its fun/quirky side, that's something you wont pick up just by watching those trailers.
I can see where you're coming from @rlopez1996, but I don't think you've played enough to understand why the Smash Bros series is so popular. Apart from praising Mega Man, The Villager from Animal Crossing is actually pretty awesome, he has attacks ranging from dropping a bowling ball (with a meteor effect) on characters heads, to collecting long range attacks and throwing back at the opponent, this is something that would come in use a lot, it's kind of like Ness' PK Magnet ability in a way except that you can store the long range attack instead of merely just absorbing the effect and healing your percentage.
Anyway, I understand you don't like Wii Fit Trainer, but most of the characters in the Smash Bros series are male, there is only a few female smash characters in the series to date, like Samus, Zelda/Sheik, Princess Peach and if you're not serious, Marth (nah just joking, Marth IS a guy). Bringing in more female characters is actually good, so I see it as being a good thing.

@rlopez1996 Why are you complaining right now about characters? They still haven't announced the full roster and besides everyone already knows the base characters anyway. If you don't like the newcomers you should wait until all of them are announced to have an decent opinion or thread to talk about these things. Whoever Nintendo puts in is final, I don't see Nintendo doing DLC characters even if they can do DLC, but who knows maybe you'll get someone you like.

The whole appeal of Smash Bros is the mix of characters from different games. I like it when they add these sort of characters because that's the whole point of the game. As long as they are balanced it's fine. In Brawl you could have a four player match with Mr Game & Watch, Sonic, Snake and ROB so I don't see how there either of these characters don't fit. As long as they have an interesting enough moveset and aren't over or underpowered it's fine. The stranger the better as long as it makes sense.

dude quit trying to make it look like im complaining
Wii Fit is apart of Nintendo's history, so it makes sense that the Wii Fit Trainer is apart of Smash Bros, and maybe in Wii Fit U, she'll mention that she burned calories in a smash or something.
Also................she's amazing!
I made Sheldon & Mr. Randoms back on Flipnote Hatena, now i'm a kangaroo mod that has a funko pop collection!
I'm not keen politics since that stuff is spooky, I'd rather watch SpongeBob over Fox News anyways!

Well you kind of are. You're complaining about something, probably a year from release. Between now and then, all your favorite characters could be added in. So for now, cool it.

What Nintendo did was, they initially revealed one character for the "true gamers" (Mega Man) and one for the more casual audience (Villager). The Wii Fit Trainer also attracts the more casual audience. I hope the rest of the character roster won't be focused on the casual audience. After all, it's smash bros.
