Tips...
1. Don't die.

....

Okay seriously though, just try to survive, YOU'RE GOING TO DIE when you first start, it's fine. But the gold you earn can be used to power-up various stats. Usually I'd go for attack, defense and recovery first. DON'T touch Curse, save that for last.

But yeah, look at the Unlocks section and just try to unlock more characters and weapons as well stages.

Cool. I'm not even frustrated or anything like that. Really starting to enjoy it, just want to know how I'm supposed to make it past that huge 11min wave lol

Once you start unlocking more stuff, it'll get easier. Just make some money. xD

Yeh, without knowing virtually anything about the game but now having played 4 runs, try and pick up all the money you can by destroying the little flame beacon things.

It's a good game and I don't want to pour cold water on anyone's enjoyment etc. but having now played 4 runs, I can see the addictive nature of it, which makes me then question what am I actually doing in the game? Each run I get a little bit further, unlock a little bit more, makes me feel like I'm getting better, but what am I actually getting better at - all I do is move around in random patterns, targeting certain enemies and evading others. It's pretty mindless, and not the kind of gameplay I think I want to throw much time into. I'll keep it installed for those pangs of mindlessness, but at least if I'm just mindlessly picking fruit and catching sea creatures in Animal Crossing I feel like I'm earning stuff I actually want and can put towards something that feels a little more worthy of the investment, even if it all is for nothing ultimately. Not feeling guilty about cheaping out an only paying £1.80 for this now at least

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.

@gcunit I can definitely pick up what you put down. Mindless fun for sure. However, it's still fun to just circle around avoiding enemies. Right now I just do 2-3 runs per day which is good enough for me. Not sure how much life ill get out of it but we'll see.

Gotten to the point where I can farm gold, time to experiment with this again. Want to mess with Viscous Hunger but I just found out that it basically steals XP gems...wondering if it's really worth it. Put more focus on leveling up? (I haven't unlocked the DLC weapon yet where the evolved form increases XP)

....I figured they would've removed this character in the Switch version...weird. lol

@Joeynator3000 Doesn't it take almost forever to unlock that character in the first place?

I've made quite a bit of progress on Tides of the Foscari DLC on Steam (will be double-dipping the game on Switch soon), and I've probably only killed maybe 30 Sammies or less thus far.

A little autumn-obsessed, if you ask me.

I can't remember, I don't even remember where you go. I think it's a certain area on one of the DLC maps and you can just sit there to farm the enemies. lol

But yeah, I figured they would've removed Sammy here or something, unless they managed to fix the character so the Switch/PC wouldn't burst into flames. lol

I am loving Vampire Survivor. Had a run that lasted 26 minutes and I was level 60, which was good. Some of my weapons became evolved like Garlic and the fire wand.

Yeah the more you play and unlock stuff the more chaos you'll create. xp

FishyS

Just played this game the first time on the current NSO trial. Not what I expected; I thought the combat would be more active.

Not totally sure I understand the game... I played one round and just walked around aimlessly for 20 some minutes. Does the game get more interesting? Or was I supposed to actually do something to beat the level?

@FishyS That's how I felt when I first played, but it didn't take long for it to click. Beating a level just consists of surviving for 30 minutes, but you'll unlock stuff as you play (including achievements, which unlock more stuff) and then you'll start to see more room for strategy and experimentation. I think the game does a good job of doling out its content slowly so you're always discovering new things without it being overwhelming.

Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Switch Online

Took a break from Final Fantasy IX and finally put some time into this.

Before I knew it my weekend was over.

Wait...what?

Discovering the weapon evolutions early is really fun. Santa Water + Attractorb for La Borra and Runetracer + Armor for No Future have the highest dps for AoE attacks until you unlock better options. The problem is...as you unlock combinations the good weapon evolutions become harder to get due to the larger pool of options.
