Cyberpunk 2077 is here. Get ready to lose yourself in the ultimate gaming experience! It looks jaw-dropping. The world is immersive in this game and finally on the go. Dream come true. I was hoping for this one and also kinda expecting it with a bit of pessimism.

I played through this a year ago.

Great game, if you enjoyed their previous game The Witcher III, don't skip this.

If it includes Phantom Liberty, then time for the current-gen comparisons

Did they show a clip of this in the direct?(possibly switch 2 footage) I heard the direct say cyberpunk 2077 while the feed was frozen, but I never saw it.

I played it and completed the story line at launch. Phantom Liberty and post expansion patches really made the game better.

Not everything we were promised. But this game is worth a play through.

I really am curious how this will perform on Switch as it was a disaster on the PS4 and Xbox One.

Yeah, it's a much better game now than at launch and that's mostly because it was rushed out with a bunch of known bugs and little to no optimization for weaker platforms. They really ought to have given it another six months.

I'd be surprised if the Switch 2 version has problems. They wouldn't have been under anything like the same time pressures when making it.

Ah, so THAT'S what happened. I remember following news on this before it released on PC since it's an adaptation of a TTRPG, which I generally like. Then stopped after its reception...wasn't so great. Sounds like they've thankfully improved on the game a lot since then.

I'll keep an eye on this.

LMAO my xbox copy is still in shrink wrap. I will get this in the launch window so that it has sales but I haven’t mustered the interest to play yet.

I'm genuinely excited to order a physical copy for this.

Otherwise this one game alone would eat a quarter of the 256GB onboard storage.

I don't really know anything about this game other than its disastrous beginnings. Is it basically a WRPG with a cyberpunk aesthetic? I think it looks cool and may like to give it a shot, but I'm also pretty done with WRPGs. I've tried a few of the biggies, including Skyrim and Witcher 3, and just didn't really care for any of them. I just think the genre is not for me. So is this one I should just skip, or is it a different kind of game from those?

@Xyphon22

It's basically Deus Ex Human Revolution with a much larger open world.

It had the same road to success as The Witcher III did. Pretty rough at launch. Was clearly released too early, but needed to recoup costs, so release it did. After several patches and major DLC it's arguably a generationally great game.

this is a great way to sell this game to me, but at the same time, tbh, NOT being a large open world is a huge part of why I like Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

There are pockets of finely crafted interior sections, but they're mostly for story sequences. However, when you're in Night City side-questing, yeah it's open world traversal most of the time. At least there's a fast travel system you gradually unlock just like the road sign system in The Witcher III. But I must stress that the story is peak Keanu Reeves and peak Idris Elba.

Maybe not Point Break peak KR or The Wire peak IE, but pretty close.

OK, well, considering Human Revolution was my single favorite game on the Wii U, I guess I can add another game to my "To Get" list. I'm not sure whether to thank you for that or not, but thanks. Although I honestly think Keanu Reeves is a horrible actor, so hopefully that won't detract from it for me.

@Xyphon22

We do not besmirch Keanu "Whoa" Reeves's acting talent.

@Magician Sorry. I'll try to be better. I will say that as a child of the 80s, Bill and Ted truly was excellent, but other than that I've never been a fan. Although because of that I have never seen any of the John Wick movies, which I have to assume are closest in nature to Cyberpunk (except for maybe the Matrix which I did like, just not necessarily Keanu's performance in it), so maybe I'll have to at least give the first movie a try.

In actuality, A Scanner Darkly would be the Keanu Reeves movie I'd say is closest to Cyberpunk 2077.

Quiet fact, A Scanner Darkly is my favorite KR movie.

Shhhh, don't tell anybody.

Did I understand correctly what they showed was early development because it was done in a few weeks? Because if so then I have hopes they’re gonna be able to really polish this up by time of release not that what was shown was bad or anything. But I assume everything in the Direct was from several month old builds like normally is the case with demos.
