Just came back from this and yeah - it absolutely lived up to the hype. It's not only great to see Looney Tunes in their element without any stupid live-action nonsense tacked on, it's just great to see a quality, 2D animated film on a big screen again. Compellingly drawn, stupidly funny, and absolutely worth seeing.

Please go watch this. You'll be better off for it.

Snow White live action movie is today 19 March 2025 in my country Indonesia, but I can't watch at evening time (around 6 pm) as during Ramadan month, the cinema will be closed briefly from 6 pm to 8 pm for the cinema staffs having fast break and praying time.
The only day I can watch Snow White at afternoon are Saturday and Sunday, but the ticket price will be more expensive during weekend and holiday.

Is it true the the Wicked movie is only half the Wicked story? I thought I saw that mentioned somewhere.

Regarding new Snow White, I expect you to give me a review score after you've seen the movie, @Anti-Matter.😉 (review score on a scale of 1-10)

Also, I was surprised here in Indonesia Snow White 2025 was rated 13+ , not SU (Semua Umur / All Ages) while the movie was rated PG globally like other Disney live action movies Little Mermaid 2023 or Beauty & the Beast 2017, etc.

Wicked part 2 (retitled as Wicked For Good) will be in November 2025.
Hoping the teaser of part 2 around May or June 2025.
We will see Nessarose (Wicked Witch of East) get squished by Dorothy's house, funny catfight of Glinda and Elphaba, the melting scene of Elphaba, the scandalous of Wizard of Oz, etc.

@Anti-Matter I don’t plan on seeing Snow White, but I am curious to hear what your thoughts on it are once you see it. I haven’t seen a Disney remake in a while, and I know they had that remake in the works for a good while.

I think I can watch Snow White 2025 on this weekend because the only time I can watch during Monday to Friday are afternoon, 6 pm and after 8 pm during Ramadan.
I don't want to watch movie at cinema after 8 pm (nightime) as I have to get enough sleep for working time on next day and not to mention the cinema inside the mall is the last place to closed while the mall itself already closed at 10 pm.
So I take the afternoon schedule during weekend as I will choose the 12 pm choice.
Well, I will be fair when giving my opinion about Snow White 2025 regardless of the chaos behind the scenes.

Watched Gladiator II and it was a little boring. The first movie was amazing, but this one is not. It dragged way too long and unlike the first one I only liked the fighting scenes like the naval battle. 5/10 for me.

On the topic of Snow White ... this will be a failure of such proportions that it will be studied for generation

Tell me what did not fail until now?

The trailers failed. The marketing failed, thanks to the "star" of the movie.

As long as Disney have money to burn, we will see such movies targeted to the "modern audience".

Yeah, Part 2 will be out in November.

But don't feel slighted by that. The entire Broadway show is 2½ hours.
But the Wicked first movie is 2 hours 40 minutes.
So the first "half" of the story in movie form is actually longer than the entire Broadway show.
It was also one of my 3 favourite films from last year (and I'm not a musical junkie).

I was pleasantly surprised by Wicked too. Amazing practical sets when more and more movies are just CGI green screens, Cynthia & Ariana have wicked chemistry and I connected with the themes of the movie a lot more than what I was expecting.

@N00BiSH I really wanted to see The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie, but apparently it's not getting a release outside the US - or at least not here in the UK/Europe

@Anti-Matter I see! I hope when you see the movie, you enjoy it. I can’t wait to hear your opinion on it. Whenever I see movies in theaters, I always see them in the morning or in the afternoon.
