@Heavyarms55 Yeah, hopefully Nintendo will be good. I'm hoping for a surprise or two.

Either a new IP, Pikmin 4, or Retro's project hopefully.

I know I'm already getting Link's Awakening and Luigi's Mansion. So I don't really need more gameplay, though a bit of Luigi's Mansion gameplay would be nice.

I doubt any one game will top FF7R for me, but I'm still hopeful that it'll be a good show.

Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)

Anti-Matter

I'm very sure Luigi Mansion 3 will open the Nintendo Direct and then Doug Bowser will show in Direct as Reggie did, explaining the vision and mission from upcoming Switch games.

The direct will be great as long Doug Bowser doesn't "kidnap" Mario & Luigi nor even Princess Peach like he "did" on last Direct (Mario & Luigi dolls wrapped by Gamecube wire) 🤣

No good deed
Will I do
AGAIN...!!!

Octane

@PCkid I'm doubtful. Would be neat though.

Not sure how excited I can be for a 2D Metroid when I know Prime is in development. We shall see...

@Octane

I cross my fingers for a game made of real 2D pixel-art visuals and not that horrible 2.5D style that I personally hate.

We'll see in 5 hours though.

Inb4 a new Mario and Luigi for Switch. That'll be a great surprise

Still seems like very little gameplay being shown, just cinematics.

Cyberpunk - was there gameplay? I can't remember and can't be bothered to sit through the cinematic again to check.

FF7R - to be fair, they did include a few flashes of gameplay that looked decent, but still dominated by cinematic.

Gods & Monsters - barely showed anything, and no obvious gameplay.

E3 is dead to me, unless...

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

@gcunit There's a 48 minute gameplay demo for Cyberpunk from last year. I think that's plenty for now lol. They're doing another gameplay demo at Gamescom this year.

The 3DS got some Wii U demakes, like Super Smash Bros. and Super Mario Maker. Would be nice to get some 3DS remakes for Switch in HD though:

Luigi's Mansion 2, Metroid II, Hey! Pikmin, WarioWare Gold, The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, and Miitopia are on top of my list. I was too involved playing Wii U and now Switch and never had enough time for the 3DS.

I'm sure other 3DS games would be great on Switch as well. I might even buy and play through New Super Mario Bros. + New Super Mario Bros. 2 (Deluxe) and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds (DX) again.

A lot of people seem to be disappointed by the Avengers footage. What exactly were you expecting?

@Dezzy Gameplay.

I know who the Avengers are, and what they look like. And the plot is something I can make up as well. The important question is how it plays. Linear levels? Open world? A combination of both? Can you pick any character? Does the game decide which you play as? Side quests? Anything really...

@Octane

It looked like there was some gameplay mixed in there to me, based on the camera angles used.

I'm wondering if it'll be a live service. I mean I guess it kinda has to be, just based on what they said about no pay-to-win or loot boxes. Can't imagine that would be relevant if it was a regular game with a beginning, middle, and end. But it does clearly have a main storyline, so I'm curious to see how the overall game is structured. Either way, I'm excited. Not as down on it as most others seem to be, since I'm excited for the concept itself. Also very glad they didn't do a "make your own hero" type of game.

@Dezzy And at the same time it transitioned back into CG that doesn't look like gameplay at all. So there's a chance it's just the camera used to make it seem like gameplay. I believe it when I see it.

@PikPi Assassin's Creed has micro-transactions (and pay-to-win technically).

Some kind of game.

Even the cinematic trailer was rubbish, it looks like they are using the ugly stunt doubles of the Marvel films.

For a hobby that's wholly designed around having fun, people sure do find a reason to complain about damn near everything sheesh!

I think they're trying to escape having to pay royalties to famous actors. That would be a massive waste of money for something like this.
