Topic: Princess Peach: Showtime!

Just made a thread about Peach's new game myself... you're welcome! Nintendo made a short trailer that shows off Peach's transformations, including the two that were recently revealed. I'm especially looking forward to playing as Cowgirl Peach.

I'm pretty curious about the game. Looking forward to seeing more (Ninja Peach is my favorite here). Looks to be one of those games that are easy, but still a lot of fun.

Ninja Peach greatly appeals to my love of Japanese culture.

Seriously, I was already planning to get this anyway, then Ninja Peach comes in and I'm like "Nice~".

I think I'll finally play super princess peach on DS to get prepared. I just never got around to that one.

I’m officially sold on this. I was gonna bump it to accommodate Dragon’s Dogma 2 but I decided to cut Like A Dragon 8 so just preordered this one (even though I still have a bunch of first party games from last year I need to buy lol). Would have loved this game growing up.

Hold on, just had a brainstorm: drawing Luca as each of Peach's roles in the game (except for the pastry one, apparently "patissiere" is for women according to Google when I tried to look up mens' outfits for reference)

Absolutely can't wait for this game. I wonder if we will get a longer trailer during the February Direct.

Which costumes do you think we haven't seen yet?

Aviator Peach somehow seems fitting unless it doesn't work in the indoor setting. (maybe shooting enemies hanging from a moving ceiling track?)

Perhaps less likely, but it would be cool if we had Musician Peach with a rhythm mini-game.

This game looks so charming, but I can't get a read on how the gameplay works just yet. I'm already sold on everything else. lol

All the different costumes and styles are neat, but Detective Peach might be the most interesting to me personally. I love a good mystery setting. lol

"Pâtissier" is the masculine form, if I'm not mistaken. It's a pastry chef, so probably a chef outfit.

@Plusle_and_Minun At least the game's teaching me how to spell words I never really use in conversation, the last one was Odyssey.

@IceDomino Haha, that's true. Reminds me of how Kingdom Hearts familiarized me with words like "bailey" and "undercroft", and I'm now very familiar with where the X is on the keyboard. XD

@FishyS I can't wait for this game, either. It looks so cute and fun, and I'm happy to see Peach getting another game. You have some good ideas for the costumes... maybe we could see Peach doing magic tricks? Or we could see a fantasy setting where she would be a mage. Just a couple ideas I had in mind.

@Plusle_and_Minun I'm excited to play as Detective Peach as well! And as @Servbot_EJ and @IceDomino mentioned, Ninja Peach looks cool, too.

Wait a second…Detective Peach…and Detective Pikachu…

Since it’s based on theater and roles, perhaps there’ll be some sort of sci-fi costume as well.

Something more medieval too, though the one with the sword might cover that already. A Valkyrie inspired role would be cool too.

But can you image a Princess Princess Peach?

Edit: oh also, the return of Cat Peach could be a fun reference to Cats

@Ryu_Niiyama I know I'm quite late to this, but I'm in the same boat. I'm trying to pick them up before the gold points expire, but I need to clear some of my backlog to do that. 😫

Both of my guesses were sort of right and sort of very wrong. 😆 Mermaid peach has a rhythm game... I think? Or maybe just music? And there was a flying shoot-em-up sort of but with Peach as a superhero rather than an aviator.

That is 10 costumes so there has to be at least 2 more — any ideas? Actually the trailer said 'ACT II' so there may be at least 5 more if there are 3 acts... unless act 3 is just the boss.

just to recap we have:

figure skater, thief, mermaid, superhero, ninja, cowgirl, swordfighter, detective, pastry chef, kung fu.

Also, they all seem to be partially platformers (either puzzle or combat) except maybe detective and pastry chef — think we will get to jump in those two?

I called it! sci-fi! I should have guessed mermaid too, it makes so much sense.

Love the phantom thief look.

Fairy Peach would be a good one. There could be some solid platforming for that act along with the ability to fly.

Pop Star or Rock Star Peach could also work if there's more musical segments than just Mermaid.
