Re: Round Table: Let's Talk About Palworld - Comparisons, Controversy, 'Copying'

superguy123

@HeadPirate shhh keep it on the downlow, in all seriousness though there are differences to be made like dragonball versus saiyuki, both talk about the monkey king son wukong and even have a similar start but they both turn into something distinct from eachother.

Idc about the gameplay aspects as they are clearly distinct, its the artist that i have a big problem with, blantantly stealing designs, (in hindsight my first analogy wasnt as clear in that)

Re: Sea Of Stars Developer Sabotage Replacing 'The Completionist' NPC

superguy123

Imagine sitting here and being afraid for his own mental state, sure no one deserves to die, but to say people should be lenient on him cause he has mental issues, yeah kinda a bad defense. Let’s play devil’s advocate and asks ourselves, how many people couldve been saved had the money been donated sooner?

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Is July's Best-Selling Switch Game In NPD Results

superguy123

@Mauzuri

something happened though while playing through 2 vs 3, the world in 2 was better overall vs 3. tbh i just dropped 3 completely after like 10 hours and havnt returned since.

the characters are better in 3 vs 2, but not by much

only thing i could give 3 an edge is in graphics, which is the least of my concern when playing a jrpg, as compared to gameplay and story

in terms of X, the gameplay is simply the best

Re: Triangle Strategy Has A Silly Name But Looks Great, Out In March

superguy123

@Daniel36 i loved octopath, the same style just doesnt work in triangle strategy.

Wasnt clear i think, could see the confusion.
But that part of me not liking it was in reference to triangle strategy, it was a mess in the first demo, everything blending in.

Octopath was perfect, and had a way better first impression on me than triangle strategy had, why i wouldve loved octopath 2 more

Re: Triangle Strategy Has A Silly Name But Looks Great, Out In March

superguy123

Zero hype from me, the characters wernt likeable in the demo anyways. Missed opportunity to have made an octopath 2 or revive their final fantasy tactics series in this style.

Also the graphics although i loved octopath, were pretty noisy and not even that great looking. Clashed alot with the gameplay. But thats more of a stylistic choice.

Square announced a lot today but they still arnt listening.

Who asked for chocobo gp? The yoko taro card game, triangle strategy etc etc?

Such an out of touch company with only a few highlights sprinkled in over the years, most recently being neo twewy(which runs like ass and can visibly see the budget cuts they had to make)

Re: Nintendo Direct To Air Tomorrow, 23rd September

superguy123

Nintendo is very active as of late.
With the heavy push of smt 5 and metroid 5, fcc filings and a september direct while we didnt actually need it. +the price correction in europe which prob boosted quite a bit of sales aswell.

Are they feeling the heat from the competition? Or have we started seeing changes under furukawa’s leadership?

Re: Talking Point: If Nintendo Switch Online Adds Game Boy, Why Not Throw In GBA, Too?

superguy123

Tbh i dont get the counter to gba at all. Its cause its easy to rerelease some games for money, bringing up the advance wars remake.

But quickly forgetting the link’s awakening remake and the rumoured oracle remakes.

Nintendo dont make sense in this regard and they put themselves in a mess. If its about rereleases and all that like nate suggested, gb and gbc would have to be ommitted by default

Re: Bravely Default II Is No Longer A Nintendo Switch Exclusive

superguy123

Good thing i didnt support this game, after octopath being promoted as a fake exclusive, saw this one coming.

I dont support companies who lie and get those sales from ppl who want to play exclusive games on a console, while porting it over less than a year later.

Neo was different, was always promoted as a cross platform game, but these fake exclusives are horrible

Re: Octopath Traveler Is No Longer A Nintendo Switch Console Exclusive

superguy123

@Mr-Fuggles777 like i said. Its not about exlusivity going away. Its the lie in the first place.

I see it like this in particular.

Square couldnt be bothered to localize / distribute the game overseas, so NOA did.

Guess who publishes their games in north america and europe on playstation and *****? Yeah square.

Face it they dont care about switch owners, they care about your money, lie to get it, flip us off and publish the game themselves.

Its such an anti-consumer practice.

This is a pretty small lie in comparison but not the first time them or any other 3rd party company did this.

Meanwhile they still arnt even committed to getting their games on switch.

Just a select few. No kingdom hearts, dq 4-6, and so many other games that square is just not porting over anyways.

Dont get me wrong though.

I heavily supported square in the past and now, but really getting at this point where all the misguidance, lies and ***** just are not worth supporting a company like this again.

It's a shame as i always held japanese studio's to a higher standard than western ones.

Re: Octopath Traveler Is No Longer A Nintendo Switch Console Exclusive

superguy123

@HotGoomba go defend huge corps lying to their fanbase.

I'm a fanboy? Sure bro. You're prob the same type of person who still buys ubi, ea and activision games after been lied to.

Go throw your money at em. They'll happily rake it all in and lie some more.

If they had said timed exclusive day 1. There wouldve been zero ***** given.

This is yet another petty attempt to squeeze money out of their consumer base.

Shill some more for these bad practices please

Re: Soapbox: It's Time To Normalise Giving Up On Games Early

superguy123

No issue here finishing a game, cause i juggle 4-5 constantly.

Usually different genre's alltogether

Busy on xenoblade def ed, disgaea 1 complete.

Juggling some twewy to 100% on lvl 1 ultimate difficulty. Some relaxation with splatoon 2 and crypt of the necrodancer.

I usually juggle games between 3 category's to do what most ppl complain about, repetition.

From ongoing and replayable. To 100%ing a game(doing 2 in short bursts)

And playing through xenoblade.

When i finish on our get bored with a game ripe with replayability, i'll juggle those around.

I never just played 1 genre but i play every genre.

Kart to smash
Skyrim, fallout, doom
Diablo, rhythm games and srpgs in general
mario, zelda and Metroid both 2d and 3d

Donkey to dark souls to yoshi, some kirby.

Story driven, gameplay driven, idc rly. As long as its fun i'll play it.

I never played a ***** game btw. Always managed to dodge the superman 64's and early ps1 batman's as famously mentioned.

But yh. Just try and juggle a few games and mix it up between finishing a story to 100% it later on and start a new game.

Even challenge yourself by setting limitations and play on the hardest settings for each game.

Legendary setting for skyrim is so much fun.

But but that is optional as not everyone wants to be challenged

Re: Soapbox: I'm Tired Of Ports And Remakes - Where Are All Nintendo's New Ideas?

superguy123

Yikes, what a bad take.

Rarely are company's able to surpass their older games. So it makes sense to a lot of people to get games from previous gens on the switch. (Yh we talking specifically about switch, but could in a lesser degree also be a graphical upgrade on ps5 and xboxX)

I get that new games is what drives the industry forward, but your mindset is whats wrong with gaming journo's.

Bassicly asking for ppl to crunch so we could get new games constantly as if appearing out of thin air.

What a joke

Re: DC Super Hero Girls: Teen Power Is Coming To Switch This June

superguy123

Yh i saw this in the direct and was like, wait nintendo publishing it? As in the direct headline is showed nintendo as the publisher alrdy.

Man this is so bad hahaha this and miitopia are bassicly the games that scream yeah, we were impacted by covid and these were the games we could do in a year time.

Also lowkey gonna predict now, botw 2 2022.

Its not gonna be coming this year. Almost 100% sure of that, but thats okay. Unless botw 2 is a true zelda game wont get it anyways.

And screw skyward sword. Fundementally broken on first release as a game. (Not working as intended is broken, so yeah)
And not even mentioning how boring the game is.

Re: Nintendo Shares Release Schedule For 2021 And Beyond, And It's Looking Pretty Bare

superguy123

@nimnio

'As it always does when a new financial report is due, Nintendo has published an updated look at its upcoming release schedule. As you might expect, though, things aren't quite as exciting as they could be.

Below, you'll find a list of Nintendo's major releases planned for 2021 and beyond (so not including third-party releases). It's a pretty bare-bones schedule, but delays and development issues are to be expected right now what with the pandemic raging on as strong as ever, and we're sure there are plenty of new titles being worked on behind the scenes.'

This and the title of the topic.

Sure the last line could elude to what i said, but its bassicly a throw away line. The way its put, at the end.
