@HaNks 100% agree, I hope Nintendo studies the stats of how many people actually use gamechat and then give an option to developers to disable it for their game.
@CJD87 I only have it 2 days, its worked perfectly for many hours on Donkey Kong, I can't fault it. I'm going to buy one of those little tablet stands to use with it.
@CJD87 I'm not sure as it's now stuck around the back of my TV, but yes it does seem longer than the Nintendo HDMI cable. And I bought an official Nintendo Switch 2 charger to use it with to be extra safe.
I have the JEMDO one, it's brilliant and works perfectly, be great for bringing on holidays. I think it's also possible to update the firmware on it so hopefully that will future proof it.
@sethfranum I don't care if you believe me or not, it happened. I've owned a lot of handheld consoles over the years, and I've never seen this happen. I have a Steam deck without a protector on it and there's not a mark on the screen. I take very good care of my handhelds, to OCD levels. I'm starting to wonder was the scratch already on the screen before I opened the box. It was visible when I played Mario Kart. Have a look on the Switch 2 reddit, it's happened to a lot of people.
I was very careful with mine and 24 hours later an inch long scratch appears right in the middle (as well as 2 little tiny scuffs). I never had a screen protector on my OLED (but I did on my V1) and this never happened. I had intented to buy a screen protector but i didn't think it would happen this easily. So after some research on reddit I realised Nintendo has put a plastic screen protector on the Switch 2 over the glass screen to prevent shattered glass if it breaks. This plastic protector seems very easy to scratch. So I bit the bullet and took off the Nintendo screen protector(easy to do) with the scratches and replaced it with a glass Jsuax one. It's perfect now, problem solved!
Fun fact: it was Shigeru Miyamoto's idea to add in the blowing mechanism, the development team couldn't say no. You can tell it doesn't belong in game as it completely breaks the flow as Alex points out.
@sanderev Yes i think its the latter too. It would be great to see Mario Kart 9 with just Nintendo-themed tracks, and a full roster of Nintendo characters, but they still need to update the overall racing style somehow.
Loving these new courses but it also makes me realise how bored I'm getting with Mario Kart 8 (having owned it since it's Wii U days). I'm very curious how they'll make Mario Kart 9 new and refreshing, as they seemed to have hit pinnacle Mario Kart with 8 Deluxe.
The Miyoo Mini is the king of mini gameboy handhelds, I also love my RG351V. But the Steam Deck has taken over my gaming life, decent portable PS2 emulation has been the dream for so long.
Downloaded it day one after seeing gameplay on youtube. Absolutely brilliant port, it's amazing how well it runs compared to say, ports of the WRC games with their pop-up shadows and trees. It's now in my top 3 arcade racers on Switch, up there with Need for Speed and Burnout.
I fear once my Steam Deck arrives my beloved Switch will sit in the corner gathering dust. As much as I love Nintendo the releases of games I love from them are few and far between. This year Kirby was amazing and right up my street, but I don't like JRPGs and Pokemon, but they seem to be quite dominant on the Switch. I've been hoping for a new F-Zero or Donkey Kong for years now, but I've given up.
A Kirby game I've never played! Just snagged a Switch Nintendo 64 controller, I've been holding out playing the Nintendo 64 games until I got one as the standard Switch buttons have bizarrely no customisation options.
This is great news, I own the Kirby diorama from Japan for those 4 Amiibo figures but I never bought the actual figures as they got so expensive..... until now.
@MikeDubbz ignore the passive aggressiveness you're getting from some people here, bizzare behaviour. You made a cool little project just because you could, and I salute you.
Was also looking forward to this... played it for a few hours, terrible game. Controls are awkward, weapons confusing, drifting is not intuitive, courses are mostly bland. What a disappointment, thank god they let us try before buying. And that's ignoring the whole micro-transactions debacle.
My order says after Q2, but I'm in no rush. The Steam Deck looks amazing, and you can already download Retroarch from the Steam story which comes with various cores. Be great if Dolphin managed to also find its way onto the Steam store.
Being a bit too old to live through the original Pokemon craze, I've never played a Pokemon game in my life. But this is tempting me, is it possible just to dive in and enjoy this game with knowing nothing about the lore or game mechanics? I only got into Animal Crossing for the first time last year and I love it to death.
Have they updated the app so you can re-map the buttons yet? I haven't touched the app since trying to play Mario Kart 64 with that awful trigger layout.
I picked up cheapish in Argos recently, It's a lot of fun! The graphics look good on an OLED switch but I've yet to play it docked mode. My only gripe is the amount of DLC it has at launch, although I am tempted to buy the DC Heroes pack.

Re: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Version 1.2.0 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
Loving the switch 2 update, it's a great game. The single player offline mode is far better than Mario Kart tour.

Re: Review: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 5 - A Good, But Not Great, Penultimate Lap
@Classic603 I'd love that too, Double Dash is still my favorite Mario Kart.
Re: Review: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 5 - A Good, But Not Great, Penultimate Lap
@rockodoodle Which makes me think the main Mario Kart team is busy working on 9? While a less experienced team worked on these DLC tracks.
