There really should be more temporary price cuts or sales on the shop service. I know there once was a limited time holiday sale for select Sega VC games on the NA Shop Channel. That’s the only sale to my knowledge that ever happened. As much as I love World of Goo, I think it’s time for it to receive a price cut imo.
If this game was released on a disc during the GameCube era, I would have given Nintendo some slack. But with the Wii having a digital download service, it still bothers me why the game wasn’t placed on Virtual Console.
@Sean Aaron: thanks for the info and review. I love retro games including remakes and reimaginings, as long as the core gameplay feels right. Since this game seems to have made the control mechanics gimmicky, I’ll have to pass on this one.
Unfortunately, Doc Louis Punch-Out was only available for Platinum Club Nintendo members last year. So unless Nintendo decides to offer it again in this year’s reward (which most likely they won’t), there is no way to get it
The game actually controls quite good, although the ultra hand does twitch on me sometimes. I like the stretching and pulling sound effects that come from the remote speaker. The ‘one miss’ is annoying in my opinion.
Back in the day, EGM posted an April Fool’s joke on how to unlock Sonic and Tails in Smash Bros. Melee. You had to get 15 knock-outs in cruel melee mode or something.
This is the one Wario game I never played or owned. I have all 6 Wario Land games (including the ones on VB and Wii), all the Warioware games, Wario World, heck even Wario Blast and Wario Woods.
The only reason I would get it, sadly, would be to complete my Wario collection.
My thinking is that the game may be all touch screen based. Kind of like LOZ Phantom Hourglass. Although Phantom Hourglass did have an overhead view, and by judging the middle screenshot in the pic, this game does not look overhead. I’ll be interested on how the control scheme works.
@Damo: That would be awesome if that girl is the spirit of the master sword or something! The Zelda series never really went into great depth behind the forces of this legendary sword.
Maybe we will now find the blacksmith who forged the sword lol!
I’m about three hours into the first quest. The main concern I have is that all the enemy sprites I’ve seen are the same from the original. They are not even graphically updated. Hopefully as I move on, I will see new sprites.
Also this game has a four player option which I find intriguing, but not necessary imo.

Re: Review: Kidz Bop Dance Party! The Video Game (Wii)
Hilarious and great review for a terrible game.
Buy the kids Epic Yarn instead. Fun for BOTH children and adults
Re: Nintendo Rolls Out Logo For Mario's 25th Anniversary
25th anniversaries represent silver, thus why the logo is black and white.
To be consistent, hopefully Mario’s 50th anniversary logo will be gold…
Re: Harvest Moon 64 Will Not Sprout on Virtual Console
I still have the N64 cart, but cannot save the game (I think the battery died).
I was really hoping for a VC release

Re: Review: Retro Atari Classics (DS)
is the blocky spaceship screenshot supposed to be the ‘graffiti’ version of Asteroids?

Re: Klonoa 3? Depends On Wiimake's Sales
How about a port of Klonoa 2 first? I would love to play that game again!
Then again, I would rather want a new Klonoa game since Klonoa 2 is relatively cheap and not as rare on ebay.
