Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin 7. World Ends with You, The 8. Okamiden 9. Legend of Zelda, The: Phantom Hourglass 10. Dementium II
I have also decided to go back and play through Link's Awakening again. This games is a lot more difficult and convoluted than I remembered. At one point you need to unlock and door by throwing a pot at it. While playing, I did not notice any clues or indication that such a thing was possible.
Modern Legend of Zelda games have overly simplified puzzles. The original Legend of Zelda game for the NES has puzzles so difficult I have yet to meet or hear from anyone who was able to finish the game with out some kind of help or advise. Link's Awakening seems a bit closer to the NES Zelda than Modern Zelda in-terms of puzzle design and difficulty.
The only reason the movie/television industry has in interest in video games, is because they believe basing a movie on video game is an excuse for not have a story.
Netflix is just interested in Resident Evil, to borrow the art design and have scenes of excessive violence. I have no faith at all that any respect of the story and tone of the Resident Evil series will be respected in a movie or TV show.
@Game-Over "Does it make a difference if the game is downloaded to an SD card or internal memory, Is the game ever yours for good?"
The Nintendo Wii can not play games off of the SD card. It can temporarily transfer a game off of the SD card and on the the Wii. The games you have purchased off of the Wii eShop are yours forever, you just can not re-download them from the eShop after the end of January 2019.
Given that the game Nier saved PlatinumGames from going bankrupt (https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2017-08-15-hideki-kamiya-nier-director-saved-platinumgames), I think Kamiya is going to try and get as many contract games out of Nintendo he can.
I enjoyed my time with the WiiU. I played Bayonetta, Bayonetta 2, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water, Legend of Zelda, The: The Wind Waker HD, Mario Kart 8, New Super Mario Bros. U, Nintendo Land, Pikmin 3, Raymand Legends, Resident Evil: Revelations, Scribblenauts Unlimited, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, Sonic: Lost World, Star Fox Zero, Super Mario 3D World, Super Smash Brothers for Wii U, Wonderful 101 ,Xenoblade Chronicles X and ZombiU.
For now the WiiU has been cast aside, but I think in time it will have a retro appeal like the Gamecube.
The "battle system" of pokemon is by far the most important feature. I can understand more causal players not understanding the depth or the competitive side to it.
Based on the comments I have read, I am getting worried that the simplified battle system of Pokemon GO will do to the traditional Pokemon battle system what MOBA games like DOTA did to the RTS games like Starcraft.
There is no blood and nothing I could consider "disturbing". You can get an achievement for launching the player controlled character from a catapult. It is worth remembering this is a budget game with limited animations.
If you do not consider changing the time and date of your 3DS to be cheating, then you can transfer Ultra Sun/Moon Pokemon to Sun/Moon. Then put them in Poké Pelago and exploit the "end of month" glitch to give 18 pokemon 29,700 exp each per clock reset. 29,700/1,250,000 = 42.1. I believe that is the fast method.
You can also SOS Battle Chancy & Blissey in Poni Grove in Ultra Sun/Moon. I believe that is the second fastest method.
This is probably an effort by Bethesda to have a character is smash. Twin Snakes only happened so that Snake could be in Brawl. These recent Bethesda games on the switch might be so that DOOM guy can be in SSB Switch.
It is nice to see Bethesda showing support of the switch. I did enjoy playing DOOM on the PC. For those who do not have a gaming PC, I would strongly recommend the single player of DOOM on the switch. The multiplayer on DOOM is okay, but Splatoon 2 multiplayer is much better.
Call of Duty has become the video game equivalent of the Simpsons in my life. It was part of my childhood but I have since stopped caring to the point I occasionally forget that they are still making more.
I predict the next Zelda game on the Switch will use the same engine and recycle a lot of the assets for breath of the wild. This next game will have a different map and far more meaningful side quests.
As Ocarina of Time is to Majora's Mask. Breath of the WIld is to the next switch Zelda game.
I will get the Switch to play first party Nintendo single player games. Just like the WiiU, Wii, Gamecube and N64. I enjoyed Mario Kart 8 online multiplayer, but not enough to pay for online multiplayer.
If the Switch does not work out, Nintendo can always go the way of Sega. Which is not necessarily a bad thing.
I did spend some time playing online multiplayer games on the WiiU. Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Brothers were fun, but the PC also has a lot of fun online multiplayer games too.
I will still be getting the Switch, but I refuse to play for online multiplayer. I am unhappy the recent announcement.
I think of my life as eras being defined by Nintendo hardware. The N64 was my childhood. The Gamecube was my early teenage years. Wii was the latter years as a teenager. WiiU was early adulthood.
The WiiU was as lackluster era in my life and Nintendo's life. I am looking forward to a new Switch era with new opportunities.
I like to controls for DS first person shooter like Call of Duty: World at War and Dementium. The controls required the second touch screen to work. Those games were by far the minority in the DS and 3DS library,
The second screen was used in Star Fox Zero, but I think that game would have been better with controls similar to Star Fox 64.
From what I have seen of Devil's Third, I expect it to have same level of quality as Madworld for the Wii. It will have a decent campaign that will be easily completed on easy and more difficult options that require and understanding of game mechanics.
I played the first three fatal frame games on the PCSX2 and the fourth with the help of home-brew. Currently I am looking forward to playing Maiden of Black Water in a legitimate way.
I think Reggie and Nintendo made the right decision not to show Zelda at this e3. Sometimes I wonder why game developers conditionally and continually lie about their products at e3, then one read the comments and comes to understand that the "fans" are speak negatively of the brand if lies are not told.
There were questionable parts of this years Nintendo e3 presentation, but those bits are no where near as bad as the obvious lies Sony and Microsoft got praised for saying.
While everyone is giving their wishlists, I want to see a 3D Mario platformer game on Wii U. 3D World was nice but it was more of a spinoff than a main entry in the series.
The N64 had Super Mario 64
The Gamecube had Sunshine
The Wii had Galaxy
The Wii U has ...
I played the demo. It was fun, but I predict Splatoon will have the same problem that Titanfall had. I like many people, will not pay full price for a game that has strong multiplayer focus with weak or nonexistent single player. Hopefully it will be $20 within a year after launch, like Titanfall.
I recently go the "The wolf among us" from the humble bundle store. I got a steam key and a telltales game key. I only want the steam key, so the following is the telltale game key if any one wants it. HBWA-PWJY-ADLW-ZJP6
I loved the GBC pokemon card trading game. I am temped to steal by siblings smart phone to see how good this game is, but it is probably gimped by micro transactions.
Given time I have reconsider my opinion on this issue. The amount of content being offered as DLC seam to be enough for a new game at full price. The DLC is not unreasonably priced, but I still oppose per-ordering for any reason, but availability (which is almost never an issue).
I still fear that Nintendo to headed toward Ubisoft's DLC practices. In which case I will just get the "game of the year" or "Nintendo Selects" version.
If this continues, I will stop buy Nintendo games at release and instead buy the "Game of Year Edition" with all of the content.
I already do this for PC games on Steam. I will wait for this DLC to go on sale before I get it (that is if I get it). I still love Nintendo, but if you give them and inch they will take a mile. Just look at Ubisoft DRM and DLC practices if you want to know the future of Nintendo.
For one of you who wants the Legend of Zelda the Wind Waker HD in North America, I got this code from the Mario Kart 8 promotion. I already own all the promoted games, so I though I give away this code to some one how might appreciate it. (A053-93R4-0L8T-RAUL)
I world really like to know how much the Sadness IP is worth. If I were a video Game Developer I would be willing to pay over a thousand dollars for an IP with no games and minimal awareness. If they do not get the IP then maybe they can get the "Winter" IP from n-space.
Now that Sadness has come back, perhaps we might be see "Winter" by n-space, "The Grinder" by HVS and most importantly "Project H.A.M.M.E.R." from Nintendo.
I am surprised that there is no debate over the means of measuring the success of these franchises. This is not in terms of units sold, but total revenue. Before anyone takes this list at face value, we should know who they handled inflation and game rentals.
The chart of Wikipedia is by Units sold and not Revenue, so it is less subject to bias. It has Super Mario Series at 262 million alone, which is greater than Call of Duties 120 million.
My sympathies go to the editors and readers of Wookieepedia. They must of spent endless amount of time to trying to understand the expanded universe of Star Wars only to have all become officially meaningless.
To comment on a minor point on that video, this is another piece of evidence that the American not have truly given up royalty. The idea that having dinner with the President of the United States is a great honour and would be worth passing up to host a Smash Brothers Torment is an aspect of American royalty. It may come as a surprise to Americans, but most people who live in countries other than the US could not recognize their Prime Minister's or President's spouse. Ex Presidents of the United States are treated better than most of the royalty in Europe.
Also I would like to add I enjoyed the Gerudo Valley theme and the end of the video.
I am hoping the GBA games on the Virtual Console will lead to "Mother 3" getting the same treatment that "Sin and Punishment: Successor of the Earth" got.
I will probably get this game on this first day of its release on the WiiU, because I believe in the time value of money. Will keep earning interest on my $15 from the bank until then.
I remember the hype around the Conduit. There were many post of forms which thought that High Voltage Software was going to become the next Rare. It would be nice if this Spider man game turned out well, and without Matt Casamassina and Mark Bozon this game will not have unrealistically high expectations.
On a side note, I am overcome by memories of fondly looking forward to The Grinder (which was announced before the release of the Conduit). I suppose now it is probably safe to say that the Grinder will never see the light of day.
The SNES Final Fantasy games. were the best of there series. I would play the SNES remake of Final Fantasy XIV, but I have not interest in Final Fantasy XIV in its current form.
I will probably get this game when it drops to the $5 on steam. I got Rayman Legends WiiU over the PC version because the WiiU version was the definitive version.
Even if this game came out the WiiU, I do not think it would be better than the PC version.
I will predict that we will see the Nintendo Fusion DS. It will be a WiiU console that can also play 3DS and DS games. This will be an attempt the make the WiiU software profitable in the same way the DS Lite the DS software profitable.
A few new trailers of previously announced game might be shown. The game I would happiest to see would be Cult County on the 3DS by Renegade Kidd, but I am not holding my breath.
If Nintendo does do that, I might play play an iOS or Android game. Due to the monopolistic completion of cell phone companies in Canada, I have intentionally avoided getting a an iOS or Android device.
Hopefully the IOS and Android competition can bring the Nintendo eShop prices down to a level near Steam prices. (On Steam you can get a Sega Genesis game on sale for about 1 dollar).
I do not appose the concept of Nintendo expanding into mobile gaming on phones. My fear is the consequences not only in the quality of the games and the resources (primarily money) reallocated to make them. The resources used on mobile gaming could be more effectively used be make and F-Zero or Star Fox game of the WiiU. To reiterate, I fear another Wii Music quality mobile game.
As much as I would like to see a finished version of Shadow of the Eternal, I also fear it. This game could have the quality of Eternal Darkness or it could have the quality of Too Human. I would rather not have this game see the light of day, then to see another failed project of Denis Dyack.
Silicon Knights died the same death that Factor 5 and Rareware did. They are victims of a desire for greatness and something more than what Nintendo could provide. This is how it had to end, but not how it should of.
There are a few other games that could come out for the Wii U in 2014 if not 2015. They are: -Fire Emblem x Tenshi Megumi -Zelda Wii U -Yarn Yoshi -3rd Sonic Wii U game (Nintendo and Sega made an agreement for 3 exclusive sonic titles to come to the Wii U. The first two being lost world and Olympics, let hope the best is for last) -Masamichi Abe's new Nintendo IP (Director of the original Pikmin is working on something new. Probably 2015 at the earliest, but we can still hope)
Lets not forget Super Mario 3D world was announced during a Nintendo Direct during E3 2013 and was released later that year. Nintendo probably has a few announcement for game coming out in 2014.

Devil May Cry was originally going to be made as Resident Evil 4, but was allowed to break away from the Resident Evil series to become its own thing.

It is not uncommon for games to change during development.

Re: The Nikkei Reports Potential Nintendo Smartphone Strategy, to be Announced This Week
Re: Shadow Of The Eternals Isn't Dead, But Don't Expect Big News Any Time Soon
As much as I would like to see a finished version of Shadow of the Eternal, I also fear it. This game could have the quality of Eternal Darkness or it could have the quality of Too Human. I would rather not have this game see the light of day, then to see another failed project of Denis Dyack.
Re: Silicon Knights Loses Appeal in Epic Games Lawsuit
Silicon Knights died the same death that Factor 5 and Rareware did. They are victims of a desire for greatness and something more than what Nintendo could provide. This is how it had to end, but not how it should of.
Re: Feature: The Biggest Wii U Games of 2014
There are a few other games that could come out for the Wii U in 2014 if not 2015. They are:
-Fire Emblem x Tenshi Megumi
-Zelda Wii U
-Yarn Yoshi
-3rd Sonic Wii U game (Nintendo and Sega made an agreement for 3 exclusive sonic titles to come to the Wii U. The first two being lost world and Olympics, let hope the best is for last)
-Masamichi Abe's new Nintendo IP (Director of the original Pikmin is working on something new. Probably 2015 at the earliest, but we can still hope)
Lets not forget Super Mario 3D world was announced during a Nintendo Direct during E3 2013 and was released later that year. Nintendo probably has a few announcement for game coming out in 2014.
