I am actually really excited about this. I enjoy the RPG style of the first two games, but if the writing is good and the world is fun to explore I think that it will still be a really good game. Positively optimistic for the battle system.
@shaneoh I only know the pro Tennis Players and DeAndre Hopkins and Ryan Tannehill as they are professional American Football players. I can understand why someone who doesn't care about American Football wouldn't care.
Probably just Splatoon 2, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and Okami HD for me. This is the first time I have ever played Okami and I have to say that I absolutely love it. The visual style is endearing and I love the combat system. I sat down and played a little bit of the Monster Hunter Demo last night and thought it was fantastic so Know I have to keep myself from buying it. Too many good games not enough money. Thank Goodness Okami HD was only $20.
@Frank-The-Tank This idea of not allowing youtubers full use comes from Nintendo of Japan. In the U.S. we have fair use in law so people making video's about games makes sense, however Japan has no legal concept of fair use which makes it more complicated. Essentially I am saying that Nintendo of America's hands are tied by Nintendo of Japan. It is a surprisingly complex issue and I think it is pretty stupid too.
@HerroThar This is definitely not what ever Retro was working on because it does not take 4 years to do a port of game that has very little upscaling or editing necessary. Even adding Funky would not have been a ton of work. They may have just relegated a small team to this like 5-10 guys or it might have been sent to one of Nintendo's other subsidiary's. My guess is that we are going to get Retro's Game at E3 cause that will be something different.
Let's go comedy as comedy is best if done well. The problem is most comedy doesn't seem to be done too well anymore. Well at least I can look back upon the Three Stooges.
@RGnsd I agree entirely however China is still a non-democratic system where popular influence is often weak at best. I think copyright law is much more likely to change from economic pressure from major corporations than from the people anyways. Sad but true, and too close to way to many democracies.
@Octane The reason that they do not care about copyright is because copyright law for all intensive purposes is non-existent in China. This stems from the fact that all law and China is setup to keep the People's Party in control with as little opposition and influence from the west as possible. It therefore plays to there advantage to have no copyright law and not respect copyright law from foreign countries at all. It helps the government there create a business atmosphere where Chinese companies have an advantage and it allows the government to make it seem to a less informed people that all these great ideas for games or products originated in China. Sorry for the run on. Political Science and East Asian Studies Double Major, so this is a big area of interest for me.
Welcome! I don't post too often, but I love this site as well and the community is fantastic. It will be fascinating to see the different opinions you bring to the site. Good Luck! Also to everyone else I hope to be more active in the comments. I have been an active reader for 7 years now so maybe now would be a good time to start posting. lol
@chardir I mean the Wii U never launched in South Korea so the Switch is already doing better on that front lol. The Wii was last Nintendo home console there. Also makes those Wii U ports pretty tempting there.
@HappyMaskedGuy Doctors Without Borders is a major charitable organization that provides medical care free of charge to people in third world countries, war zones, and the aftermath of Natural Disasters. They are often time the only medical care many of these people will ever get. Almost all the doctors volunteer to travel and funds donated would most likely go to operating expenses and paying for needed medicines. They are a wonderful organization.
@Dakt So right. I enjoyed what was announced because I didn't buy into all the rumors and kept my expectations fairly low. Now I just can't wait until March 3.
I would get hype for a new IP. But Pikmin 4, Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart, plus a nice surprise we aren't expecting would keep me hype for the next 15 months. I also don't expect a big new 3d Mario until minimum Holiday 2017. I also want a new Sin and Punishment, even though I highly doubt it ever happens. Tbh I just want the official announcement already so we can really see the NX and get a complete blowout of trailers for new games. If they announce a lot of games and have third party and indie support a sizzle reel would be super hype.
@Superzone13 In regards to what you said about a game drought. If the NX really is both a portable and home console in one it should get games that would have gone to both the portable and home console in the past. For example instead of 8 major games for each console each year, it could be 16 major releases for one console. Therefore a game drought would be less likely.
@Tsurii I agree. I think the games are good, but at this point the series massively overrated. I have said as much at my high school. Which was a very bad idea.......
I just want Nintendo to reveal the console and open up preorders already. I even have my preorder money set aside already. Plus when they do the announcement I am sure they will be a glut of new game trailers I can use to get myself hype.
@TheGoof Universal Studios in the US has said that they will be doing something with Nintendo IP's in the future. However there is no timeframe for that and my guess is they plan on doing it after the Japanese park is finished. It is going to be a long time.
Wow. This actually sounds like a good Mario Party game. Now all we need is the future NX release Mario Party 11 to get rid of the car and go back to classic boards like in the first 8 games and we will be golden. Or try something new that isn't the car
Still probably better than actually being in Rio for the Olympics with all the problems down there. Unfinished stadiums, sewage in the water, people in the slums who aren't getting any help while hundreds of millions go to building outrageous stadiums, and Zika. Maybe they should use this game for the actual competition it would probably be safer and more fun.
Wow as great as both series are I did not expect the collaboration between the two to really have much success in the west. Kudos to Nintendo and Atlus .Hopefully Color Splash and Zelda BOTW Wii U Edition are also is a late successes for Nintendo as they get ready to move unto the NX.
@rjejr Nope I go to St. Vincent- St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio. Nintendo is just decently popular in this region. I remember when I was little 70% of the kids in my kindergarten owned a GameCube.
@rjejr I hear you. I go to high school in the United States and know at least 20 people at my school who would buy a wii u with a price drop. I am pretty lucky though because I already have 10 friends who already own a wii u. I hope your kids get some wii u owning friends.
@Samuel-Flutter @Tommy_Wiseau I can tell that it is faster, but in the trailer the line of paint it leaves behind seems so small I wonder if it is even worth the upgraded speed. Just my opinion.
Wow! That was absolutely amazing. Though I am going to call this the humanity gets beat up trailer. Also it looked like humanity is going to have a little problem with factions with in itself.
I thought that the direct was really good. I went in expecting nothing and came out pleasantly surprised. I think the only thing that really disappointed me was that Xenoblade Chronicles X did not make an appearance, but that was made up for with the showing off of SMTxFE, FE If, Smash ballot, and 200cc. I thought it was one of the better directs that we have gotten. I would rank it as the 5th best direct we have had. ND Top 5 in my opinion 5.April 2015 4.E3 2013 3.December 2013 2.Janaury 2013 1.E3 2014( It was a slightly different format but the deluxe digital presentation was just a really high budget ND)
Well, happy Holy Week and Easter to my fellow Catholics and Christians; and a happy week and weekend to my atheist, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Shinto, Buddhist, and any other faith friends.
