why does Square keep releasing so many games on top of each other? It doesn't seem like a good sales tactics
If released in Europe, the DQ and FF spin off games WILL be downloaded off the wishlist. I'll need a review for Jitsu Squad. I may download AA:Tetris Grand Master at some point later.
Need a review for chained echoes.
@Mando44646 Likely because they are aimed at different audiences (JRPG fans aren’t a monolith) and many of their games have long legs. But it keeps users engaged in their IP. And some games are locked to certain platforms as well. They are fortunate to have a robust enough library and turnaround time to do this. Imo of course.
I am enjoying Tetris Grand Master. It has been a long time since I played a version of Tetris where you couldn't hold a piece for later. Going to take a while to get used to it, much harder this way.
So much out for me this month >.<
Grabbed Samurai Maiden, Kardboard kings and Dragon quest already but oh boy I'm interested in a few:
Chained echoes, Adventure Academia, Crisis Core, wavetale, that's not to mention inscryption and the outbound ghost which I haven't grabbed yet...
I gotta spread out my purchases so it doesn't look too bad...
Where's our Crisis Core review?
It's absurd how many good games came out these last two months, not complaining, but my backlog grew a lot.
How is that there's no Switch footage of Crisis Core Reunion posted anywhere yet?
Pre-ordered Crisis Core for PS5. I also picked up River City Girls (PS5) & Axiom Verge 2 (Switch) from Best Buy.
Nothing for me this week, or this month. I, uh... went a bit overboard on Christmas shopping this year.
Will definitely be picking up Crisis Core and Dragon Quest Treasures in a month or two, though.
Chained Echoes is feeling great! Old school nostalgia trip a la Chrono Trigger and FFVI. I’ve played about an hour of it on GamePass and looking to dive deeper into it.
I really want to get a physical copy for my Switch collection, but I’ve heard First Press Games is a bit suspect…not sure I want to throw money their way. I hope a true NA physical edition is released!
@ATHFjman18
I've also pre-ordered Chained Echoes from First Press Games.
I'm confident that they'll eventually deliver, I've already received a number of physical items from them, and just recently had a shipment from them for some other merchandise.
They proactively reached me out about a stock supply issue on their end and resolved it satisfactorily (simply that their supplier was not able to deliver on a promised product and that a substitution could be arranged with a partial refund).
I will say, their production times seem to be really slow compared to some other boutiques, but I don't think they're going to go belly up or anything.
Physical copies of DQ Treasures, Crisis Core: FF VII, and Redout II for me this week. @RupeeClock Bless your heart. You have faith, I do not. 29 months and counting, and yet Psychotic Adventures Origins is somehow still in production? https://twitter.com/FirstPressGames/status/1281271900631687168
@Ryu_Niiyama Personally, the more they expound on FFVII, the less I enjoy it. I kind of wanted to to get Crisis Core, but I'm going to go with Chained Echoes instead. Definitely more my style, and the whole "tell the story again, Daddy, again!" thing is getting pretty old with FFVII.
...like, leave some mystery opened there. It's not that interesting of a story anyway.
Glad to see Chained Echoes get good polling numbers. It's getting real good reviews, too.
chained echoes a shame a physical release will not happen until next summer
Is Nintendolife not doing these for Europe anymore?
Planning to play Crisis Core on the Steam Deck but still voted it 😜
Definitely Crisis Core. I don’t care that Square is re-releasing/remaking/remastering things. I move past the ones I don’t care for, and get the ones I really want.
I will be getting Crisis Core. Eventually. Christmas shopping takes top priority, homie.
Unless you count the games from the sale (which are at least a year old), nothing for me this week!
Nothing for me but I might eventually get Crisis Core.
Forgot chained echoes is on game pass. Will try there first.
A European site that doesn't publish the European lists...I call that epic fail!!
