Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream arrives on the Nintendo Switch later this week.
Ahead of the release, Koei Tecmo and the game's developer Gust have released a brand new "theme song" trailer. If you're not already excited for the new entry in the Atelier RPG series, this might help.
Koei Tecmo has also previously released a story trailer for this latest entry. There'll also be an evolved turn-based battle system, which you can learn more about in our previous post.
Will you be adding this one to your Switch collection when it arrives on 25th February? Tell us down below.

I'll be importing a copy as it's much cheaper than getting it locally here so I won't have it for a few weeks (and I don't know when I'll find time for it with such a busy release schedule) but I'm definitely looking forward to playing it sooner or later. Atelier games are always great.
O got mine yesterday (I pre-ordered physical,.as I always do.with ateliers) . It's nostalgic to me as Sophie was my entry point my into the series
Koei Tecmo really had a lot going for them on the Switch do they? Kinda odd that they'll give us anything except the Dragon Quest Heroes games.
I haven't been this hyped for a game in a long time! I love both Ryza's for what they are, but I miss the more creative alchemy system and the more... ummm ... let's go with "base" humour of the earlier games. I really hope Sophie 2 is a return to form.
I'm still waiting for a Dead Or Alive fighting game on Switch
I have the game already preordered and preloaded in my PS4... Too bad there is no PS5 version at this time...
If Amazon plays nice I'll be getting mine on Friday, but I'm not quite done with Ryza 2 yet. That will probably take another week or so.
Played OG Sophie recently and it was a glorious game. This should be even better!
After enjoying my 1st two games ever in this series (Atelier Ryza 1 & 2) on my Switch Lite, I preordered Sophie 2 on Steam. Looking forward to the review and hopefully it's as enjoyable even without the faster style combat.
@Specter_of-the_OLED
I honestly forgot that a Switch version already existed in Japan for DQ Heroes. Guess Square Enix and Koei Tecmo have no interest in bringing over that port to the West.
It's going to be a glorious weekend.
@Specter_of-the_OLED Those are the worst running games on the Switch anyways. That's probably why they stayed in Japan.
