February 27th Is Pokémon Day, And We're Getting Announcements Every Day This Week

I haven't been following leaks, so I have no idea what the next pokemon for unite could be.

I would love some more legendary's to be playable, like mew or mewtwo.

Edit: would you look at that! It wasn't a legendary but I think it falls in line with my wish, plus hoopa is like my favorite pokemon ever.

I hope there will also be an unnannounced announcement (lol) for a Pokemon Legends Arceus DLC

maybe a long shot, but perhaps they want to make SwSh relevant along with BDSP/PLA until gen 9 (and whatever they announce on the 27th, which I guess is Let's Go gen 2) by giving it MK8D treatment with more paid DLC.
Could do 2 more waves with the remaining pokemon not in the game from before and maybe also add the new hisuian pokemon and hisuian forms and evolution to give gen 8 more exposure until a gen 9 announcement (which I expect to be announced and released in 2023).

Also think they will announce the Pokemon Home connections to BDSP and PLA on sunday and when those will happen.
I'm kinda curious though if they will talk about the 3DS eshop closure in terms of the Pokémon Bank and the future of trading from gen 5-8 for those who miss out on getting Pokemon bank in time before next year.

Arceus is my favorite Pokemon game so far, by far. I hope they announce frame rate improvements and DLC for it sometime soon!

@Citano I'd say, at the very best, the announcement would be Hisuian Pokémon will be transferable from HOME to SwSh (simultaneously announcing the compatibility of HOME with the recently-released titles), with it being more likely to be some Wi-Fi distribution and a reminder that the Shiny Galarian birds are available if you participate in the upcoming online events.

@Snatcher 2022 will mark 3 years since Pokémon Sword e Shield was released, so a holiday 2022 release for gen 9 is very likely to happen.

I'm also curious about what they're going to tell us about Sword and Shield, while i'm trying not to get my hopes up too much (To avoid disappointment), i also think "New Raid event, lol" would be rather meager...

I wonder what country will be represented for Gen 9 if there will be new Pokemon games.

Pokemon Legends Arceus has been fun, but I think I’ve had my fill of Pokemon for the year once I’ve finished it. I’ve no desire to play a traditional Pokemon game again, or any of the mobile games.

@mariomaster96 I fully expect at least a tease of DLC for Arceus on the 27th. Even if it is just something like "we are not yet finished with Pokemon Legends"

Maybe they try out a Sevii Islands style post game? That would be pretty cool. Maybe each island has a leader to defeat, and not just battles, some could be races.

I personally hope that Build-A-Bear Workshop gets in on this, and announces their next new Pokemon plush, Leafeon!

So basically I shouldn't care until 2/27.

You would have to think they would add Gen 1 and 2 even 3 to Switch at some point since the only way to send those pokemon forward and get celebi Is dying next year

The fact that SwSh are still getting major updates prove they deserve to be the 2nd best selling games.

@KBuckley27 Well, nevermind then I guess lol. Only thing I would be interested in is the rumored Pokemon Stadium linked to Home, ports, or a new game. Although I'd prefer ports or the Pokemon Stadium, because if a new game isn't like Legends Arceus, then I'm out probably.

Surprised to see Sword and Shield getting an announcement tomorrow. I doubt it will be anything major. Probably just a RAID event or something. Can't see Sword and Shield getting another big DLC 2 years after its release. Pokémon Day being on Sunday probably means no big announcements like DLC for BDSP or Legends Arceus. Most likely a date for Pokémon Home compatibility for BDSP and maybe the Global Wonder Trade for BDSP. Likely to see DLC for Legends Arceus later this Spring.

Where did you hear about Pokémon Stadium port rumor? I never played them on N64 and would be very interested in a re-release.

Maybe Hisuian form Pokemon are going to be transferable to Sword and Shield? I really can't imagine more content for the game after the DLC and the complete version cartridge. Might just be wishful thinking because I don't want to have to buy ANOTHER complete version for work if there's more DLC, though.

@Don on the pokeleaks subreddit. It's probably fake though. It's not a re-release of the old ones, but a Stadium 3 type game that integrates with pokemon home. It gives the competitive scene more to do so that the main games can be innovative.

@Don There's a caveat about Stadium ports: You need GB Games to take full advantage of it, and Nintendo has not even made an NSO: Game Boy & Game Boy Color App for it.

I see. I definitely wouldn’t mind Pokémon Stadium getting a third game. I’m also hoping we get Pokémon Stadium on NSO expansion pak in the future.

I guess they can make it compatible with the virtual console versions of Gen 1 and 2 on 3DS if at all possible. I think the Game Boy games will arrive some time later on NSO.

Interesting that there’s S&S news, but not Arceus DLC. Also, what’s P25 Music? Is that what the D&P soundtrack website was part of, or is it something different? It would be amazing if they released the other games’ soundtrack that way.

It would be nice if they could complete BD/SP before they announce a new game.

Just a thought swsh still has unreleased mythicals so maybe those two and mega island from the anime?

Maybe they'll announce updates for SwSh that add Pokémon gradually? Or start fixing things they never bothered to like the bonus you were supposed to get for capturing & defeating a Pokémon 500 times? How about the glitch of being unable to claim Ranked Rewards? Who am I kidding, they're probably just putting the Home update under SwSh with maybe some Wild Area news. I'll pretend there's a chance they add missing Pokémon that're in BDSP or Legends though.

Don't think they'll announce anything major with Unite. Unless they announce they're slashing those awful prices or something, not sure what it could be but a new character or two and some log-in bonuses. Would love to see Hisuian Arcanine added though. Would be fitting since Ninetales' Regional Form is in the game and they're opposites.

No idea what the 27th could be. If I had to guess, another remake by ILCA, maybe HGSS or even Platinum to ruin all the positivity of Legends. TPC has to get its quota to annoy the fans somehow. But it's probably just DLC for Legends.

The only thing I'm interested in now is whether they're gonna have a sale on ALL their Pokemon Games or not. If not then I can pass.
