There's no lack of choice when it comes to 3D platformers on Switch. Home to some excellent games, Mail Mole's got strong competition ahead of it next month. Previously announced for a 2020 release, it had been delayed but it's now been confirmed as coming to Switch on March 4th. It reminds us of Nintendo's Game Boy classic Mole Mania, which is no bad thing.
We'll be playing as Molty, an absolutely adorable Mail Mole. Making his most important deliveries yet, that involves travelling through some of Carrotland's more treacherous terrain. Across endless pits, bouncing platforms, tough roads and more, expect plenty of platforming challenges ahead.
Developed by Undercoders and Talpa Games, they've outlined what key features we can expect:
* Explore over 30 levels full of platforming challenges
* Gather carrots and buy costumes for Molty at Rick's Store
* Find all the collectibles scattered around Carrotland
* Race against a bunch of evil mech-moles in super fast time attacks
* Introducing our new hero, Molty the Mail Mole!
Mail Mole certainly looks promising, and we can't wait to see how it plays. You can pre-order it now on the eShop for £13.49 /€14,99 / $14.99.
Will you be picking up Mail Mole next month? Let us know down below.

Moles are the most adorable animals in Earth. Don't @ me.
Reminds me more of Super Lucky's Tail.
@Ogbert exactly what I came here to say.Looks pretty decent though.
Looks so good, definitely feeling a lot of 3D World vibes.
Looks alright! I have at points before whim purchased platformers, though. Woodle Tree is the most recent and boy did I regret it. Fine for 5 year olds, but not for me.
Actually doesn't look half bad. Need gameplay footage and reviews though
@Ogbert
I thought the same. Looks like a less polished version of New Super Lucky's Tale.
The trailer left me a bit cold but I might give it a chance if reviews are positives.
Judging by the trailer, it's a very obvious "wait for reviews".
Did this appear in an indie world once? It looks familiar for some reason.
30 levels for £13.49 seems a bit steep but the gameplay does look decent. Definitely one to wait on reviews and see.
Move over, 3D World, Mail Mole is in town.
Not quite the same game but which will be better this or Balan?
Did Shin'en make this, reminds me of Jett Rocket on WiiWare?
But not in a good way. At first I though tit looked like a "made in Dreams" game but those have more color. Why so washed out?
I'll give them credit for the $15 price, that's cheap for a 3D platformer these days. We'll see.
@Woodyshoe After playing the demo of both games... Not even in the same league. Mail Mole >>>>>>>>>>>>> Balan
Not that it's hard to be better than Balan hahaha
But seriously, the demo of the game (was in the latest Steam Games Festival) was lots of fun! Very charming platformer incoming
NOT THE MOLE I NEED!
I have no idea why NL would say this "reminds them of Mole Mania." Mole Mania was an action/adventure puzzle game that used the GB Zelda engine. This... looks nothing like that.
@Ogbert Very much agreed. That is exactly what this reminds me of!
@SolidSnake27 Glad to hear that somebody has played this and it’s plays well. Fingers crossed there is enough content and port to switch is up to scratch.
@Muddy_4_Ever I did not know Mole Mania was in the Zelda engine. Call Grezzo quick, we need a remake like links awaking ASAP. Nice profile picture!
I can't help notice it looks very much like New Super Lucky's Tale. Especially with the same burrowing mechanic. I saw this on eshop, and am keeping a watch on it. Might be a shallow game, though.
Looks like a budget game for sure, but looks like it could really be a lot of fun.
The burrowing "mechanic" looks like it's the default movement animation for the MC, so not quite like Lucky. I'm getting strong 3D world vibes from the level design
@Ogbert Argos have New Super Lucky’s Tale for £9.99 at the moment. Ordered it yesterday! 😬
@Woodyshoe We... already have one?

Honestly, I don't see the appeal.
What's so good about a platformer, a character based standard for the genre, have a lead you rarely see?
@Woodyshoe Mole Mania is one of the 10 best GB games... that no one has heard of. Its marketing was awful and it came out at the end if the system's lifespan. The pity is a Miyamoto made game that's epic af is lost to history
@Muddy_4_Ever I think that was one of the few gameboy carts I still own. I’m not sure why I got it but it was great. Might have to dig it out again after I’ve played Mother 3,
@Bolt_Strike I was talking about Mole Mania
@Woodyshoe Yes, but you mentioned wanting Grezzo to remake Link's Awakening. Link's Awakening has already been remade.
