If you've been keeping tabs on the Shovel Knight board game you're now in luck, as the Kickstarter campaign to get it off the ground has been launched once more.
The campaign started last month, but after feedback from backers who weren't too impressed with the project's pricing model, its creators Panda Cult Games decided to make some very welcome changes. Now, everything's back on course with a new, lower-cost tier which should help more fans of the Shovel Knight series enjoy the game.
At the time of writing, the Kickstarter has raised just over $34,000 of its $70,000 goal with 24 days still left to go. If you want to learn all about it or pledge your support to own a copy, you can find the Kickstarter page here; it's been made in close cooperation with Yacht Club Games and is described as a "competitive, side-scrolling, dungeon-crawl board game for 1-4 players".
Will you be checking this one out? Let us know if you decide to back the project with a comment below.

As much as I like miniatures, the board game ones are usually pretty low quality and drive up the price for no reason. I prefer miniatures to be an optional add-on.
I welcome the 2D version of the game.
Also, I find it extremely amusing that the game comes with a Shovel Knight card for a different game from the same publisher. Unsatisfied with invading every indie game in existence, has Shovel Knight turned his crossover lust towards boardgames? Are Shovel Knight versions of Munchkin, Monopoly and Talisman around the corner?
Ugly coloring...I ll just wait for a decent collectible figure.
@SmaggTheSmug Don't forget Shovel Knight Risk and Legendary: Shovel Knight!
@hakjie11 but it's a boardgame... Not a collectible figure.
Yay!
now l can try it now
@JamesJose7 yes ofcoz, but it's still no excuse for the ugly colored board pieces
It would be cool if they released King of Cards finally. We are 4 months past the original release date. Kind of ridiculous.
Also they could have made the other pieces different knights. (King,Specter,Shovel, and Plague)
Why kickstarter? did they not make a big fat wad of cash from the games.
@hakjie11 I believe that came from the people asking for a lowered priced version. Cheaper means lower quality.
@JamesJose7 The tokens and boards are all the same as the original campaign, the only thing that is different is the cheaper 2D edition that features standee heroes and villains instead of the 3D models.
It looks good, like freshly cooked Cornish Game Hen with a side of Pepsi and Pepsi brand family of products. These can be purchased at your local ACME or food distributor. To learn more call

@Varubajia To suck every penny out of their fans. I liked the game it was a masterpiece, but this board game doesn't look like one.
Or you guys could just give us an update on King of Cards? Considering no one probably backed this since Shovel Knight amiibo preorders have been out for over 2 years now.
JUST GIVE US A FREAKIN UPDATE PLEASE!
