How to use amiibos in Echoes of Wisdom
You unlock amiibo rewards in Echoes of Wisdom the same way you do in every other supported game. Just follow these steps:
- Pause the game
- Navigate to the amiibo option
- Tap any amiibo from the Legend of Zelda series to your controller
- Accept your reward
To scan your amiibo, your controller must have NFC capability. In the case of Nintendo controllers (and officially licensed controllers) that's basically a given. If you're using a cheaper third-party controller though, it might not support NFC.
Where you actually scan your amiibo also depends on the controller you're playing Echoes of Wisdom with. Here's where to find the NFC sweet spot in each case.
- Joy-Cons
- The most likely controller you're using. Scan your amiibo just over the analog stick on the right Joy-Con.
- Pro Controller
- The NFC point can be found directly over the Nintendo logo on the front-center of the controller.
- Switch Lite
- Very similar to the Joy-Con method. You'll find the NFC point directly over the right-hand stick.
Echoes of Wisdom amiibo rewards
Unlike Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom, unlocks for Echoes of Wisdom are a bit more limited. There are three exclusive costumes locked to amiibo, but outside of that, the rewards are fairly basic.
