The great Toadosfky needs your help in Super Mario RPG. This great composer is trying to compose some new music, which means Mario must channel his inner musician.
Melody Bay is where the music is made, and doing this sidequest is worth your while as you'll unlock one of the best shops in the game.
In this guide, we'll tell you where to find all Melody Bay songs, how to play them, and what items you unlock at the Juice Bar in Super Mario RPG on SNES and Nintendo Switch.

Super Mario RPG: Melody Bay Guide
Where to find Melody Bay
Melody Bay is on the right side of Tadpole Pond. You'll first be able to access it when you go to meet the Frog Sage with Mario and Mallow.
Just head to the right on the next screen to meet Toadofsky, a master composer who is struggling with their muse right now.
How to play music at Melody Bay
To play music at Melody Bay, all you need to do is stand at the south side of the pond and interact with it. Then a tadpole will appea and move between seven different spots.
The pond acts like a music sheet — from left to right, the notes are:
Mi | Re | Do | Ti | La | So | Fa |
Press the Jump button when you want the Tadpole to stop, and Mario will hop onto the little creature and stop it in its respective musical note spot.
You'll need to do this eight times to create a piece of music.

Where to find Frog Sage's Suite #18
Frog Sage's Suite #18 can be found at Tadpole Pond just on the way to Melody Bay after you've spoken to the Frog Sage.
Walk up to the small strip of open land right next to the entrance to Melody Bay and a tadpole will appear and tell you the notes to the song.
Note: This tadpole can also give you hints on where all the other songs are in the game.

You'll find the Moleville Blues in the Mole Mines. Anytime after you've defeated Punchinello, head towards the end of the dungeon and you'll find a group of moles working away.
Talk to them and they'll start singing a song. This is the Moleville Blues and the notes are indicated by the capital letters throughout.

The final song
The final song can't be found anywhere — it's up to you!
As a final reward, you get to compose your own song to help Toadosfky complete his melody.
You don't get anything for this final song, but it's nice to be able to play around with the music at will.
