Update: New codes have been added and old codes shifted to the 'expired' section.
Unless you've been living under a 'down-B' Kirby-shaped brick since last September, Kirby fans are probably aware that a free-to-start Kirby game called Super Kirby Clash is available to play on Nintendo Switch.
The game has you choosing from four different roles - Sword Hero, Hammer Lord, Beam Mage, or Doctor Healmore - before joining up with friends to take on tough bosses. We've got more details on how the game works right here if you're interested, but for now, we want to talk about Passwords.
You see, Super Kirby Clash allows you to enter passwords to gain extra rewards like Gem Apples and Fragments - goodies you'll need to obtain weapons and keep going when your party runs out of vigor. If you're desperate for more items and don't want to wait for that timer to tick all the way down, you might want to give these passwords a shot.
Passwords aren't region locked, meaning you can change your keyboard's language regardless of your Switch's region to input other codes, but for the sake of simplicity, we've separated all of the known passwords by region below. The following have been discovered through HAL Laboratory on Twitter, the game's official site, and more. Special thanks to Perfectly-Nintendo for rounding up some of the harder-to-find codes.

There’s a huge difference between ‘Free’ and ‘Free to Start.’
Please don’t support F2P microtransaction based Nintendo games guys. It’s a disease that will go on to infect everything. Nip it in the bud before they get greedy.
@HappyMaskedGuy
Agreed, they suck. At least Nintendo have described it as "Free to Start" so there is no doubt but I would rather this monetisation system just didn't exist.
Unfortunately clearly there is a lot of people who are happy with it and happy to keep paying.
Speaking of the microtransactions thing, is there a way to just pay a lump sum and turn it into a normal game?
@oatmaster
Haven't looked into it yet, but if it's like the 3DS game, there will be a limit on the number of gem apples you can buy, and buying the maximum amount will drastically increase the number of free gem apples you can claim on each cooldown, however long the cooldown is.
My recollection is that if you've bought a certain number of gem apples, the tree that grows gem apples gets bigger and will grow more apples, and there are multiple levels for this tree. So it encourages you to spend at least a small amount to progress things.
@oatmaster If you pay $40 the tree in the middle of the plaza will grow so big that you'll get 2000 gem apples a day from then on (plus the 5000 you just paid $40 for) negating the need to buy any more.
Using those 7000+ gem apples you can purchase all the books that increase the rate of stamina recovery so you'll negate the need to wait as well. (Plus refilling stamina only costs 2 gem apples if you do happen to run out)
I've got fragments coming out the wazooo with amiibo help. It's gem apple that are a burden to get.
Seems like some passwords are counted as the same one whether you input them in English or Japanese (GEMAPPLES = まいつきリンゴプレゼント) and some aren't (SUPERKIRBYCLASH != スーパーカービィハンターズ), which is kinda confusing.
If it's anything like the 3DS game, there'll probably be a lot more passwords in Japanese than English as time goes on.
I've downloaded it. Played the 3DS one with my sons too, and though I never paid for anything there, I splurged 40 cent on a couple of apples to grow the tree a bit and spend my last couple of gold coins. My boys love this game, and it's fun to play with the three of us.
And I actually don't mind the stamina, means I don't spend too much time on this game.
I mean, there is nothing forcing you to spend money on it, there's nothing even forcing you to download this game. It's a wonderful little time filler, and that is all it is. It's not a full game and shouldn't be viewed as such. It's meant for those moments when you are not feeling like playing a SNES game.
@RupeeClock and @TeeJay - thanks, both. $40 is a bit steep for me at the moment but I might go for it if there's a discount at some point.
@RupeeClock Yeah, i thought the exact same thing. It's little more than a glamourised and up tweaked port of the 3DS Team Kirby Clash Deluxe (which I personally loved to play and maxed out everything and 42 platinum for all quests but I didn’t spend a penny, pure grinding), so it'll probably follow the same template. (anyone feel free to jump in an correct me^^;)
@Roronoa11 No need to jump in and correct you. It's basically a slightly upgraded version of the 3DS game. I think there are more or at least different badges to acquire, I think there are more books you can buy, you can buy useless stickers, but from what I've seen so far the four classes, weapons and armour are the same. Maybe some high tier weapons and armour exist that are new, but so far not much new.
I enjoyed the 3ds version which I spent 30 bucks on. Which so happened to be the price of a cheaper 3ds game so... In the end it was like just buying a 3ds game but in chunks. If I spend hours playing it again and trying to beat the achievements and spend the 40 dollars than it would cost about the price of a lower priced Switch game.
I get the hate against micro transactions. Very valid. However in the end. If you get out of it about the same as any other game on its current system. Its about the same as just buying it whole game, I suppose.
@oatmaster Well, somewhat.
If you buy the 40 bucks "maximum pack", it upgrades your premium currency payout every 12 hours to 2000 which should be enough to play the game at a reasonable pace.
But then there's the energy nonsense which, at the start at least, pretty much limits you to two-three quests anyways.
This game is so aggressively monetized, it's not even funny anymore.
Let's recap:
-Every piece of gear costs you premium currency
-Items (consumables or perms) cost you premium currency
-Quest must be bought by premium currency
At the start, you're limited to:
-Payout of 10 every 12 hours
-Fulfilling missions, often requiring you to use specific classes or beat specific times, a.e. you need gear for all 4 classes + Buff items
So unlike your typical "Play a while but to get good you need to pay" type of F2P game, this one is set up to be a constant money sink, since EVERYTHING costs you premium currency with a very modest free payout.
And to top it all off, real money spend is linked to your safe file, not your Nintendo Account. Meaning, if you accidentally delete the game instead of archiving it to safe space, your money is gone for good.
@Einherjar I don't think this game was designed to be played in a single session, and Free to Start allowed the game to be developed. While those of us with money can throw some at it, you forget that kids have an abundance of time but not money. Getting a game that paces them to smaller gulps instead of taking the firehose isn't bad either.
As for the save file issue, that sounds like something that needs a patch and not something that cannot be resolved. And the premium currency isn't unreachable either, as again it just requires time. Plus $0.99 doubles the output and $4.99 triples it (I could have doubled it with just Gold points, and single month of Bing Reward points turned in was a $5 Amazon gift card turned into a Nintendo Account card).
What I would like to know is how many apples you need to unlock things. I upgraded my 3DS version enough to get 14 apples per cycle, but you need to pay way less to get 20 here. On the other hand there seems to be more equipment, more books, and also stickers. 14 was enough to buy and upgrade the key equipment without a ton of effort, it would be interesting to know a good number for the Switch version.
@Einherjar
"Meaning, if you accidentally delete the game instead of archiving it to safe space, your money is gone for good."
I'm pretty sure you still need to manually delete your save file through the data management menu, even if you delete the entire game.
@Einherjar
You do know that every time you level, it refills the vigor right? As long as you bounce between solo, and online you can play for quite a while. I've done a single session and still going of over 4 hours without running out of vigor. I used gold coins to get the 100 gem apple purchase for 10 cents right around when I first started. It was never meant to be played all at once in one sitting, but done right, you can play A LOT.
I would have to agree, not a fan of having to use apple gems to unlock more solo missions which tie party quest/online unlocks too, but you don't need to pay for those thankfully. You also get the most xp from playing online. There is also zero missions requiring the use of other classes. Those are challenges, and you're fine not doing a bunch of those, not to mention you'll get more of them done playing online since those have their own. The later gear gets you pretty good with gem costs. Rarity 9 so far is going to cost 56 gems a piece, and there is at least 11 rarities I've seen so far. Not to mention I've ran into other player over level 40 already.
This game was designed to be played online more than anything. The XP boost, on top of getting the other challenges done (which those are not limited to online) You'll be doing pretty okay until you hit the upper level 20's I think. Pretty much stay away from stickers, and honestly those should have been unlockables. Also, as long as you're leveling, so is the group for solo play, and I'm sure the bell will help bring better teams too for a limited use ever 24 hours. I've barely upgraded my team, and I've done level 24+ solo missions fine. Which, solo missions cost WAY too much vigor, while online uses like half the amount, or even less. Even pushing the online play design even harder.
It's a matter of how you use your time, and honestly, if you want to see worse microtransactions, just look at, Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, Fire Emblem: Heros, and Dr.Mario World, with a high likelyhood of Mario Kart Tour as well. I've seen way worse, and this game has been out for quite a while before it hit the Switch.
@ryancraddock Thanks! I’m enjoying short bursts of the game and haven’t needed to spend any money to progress at all. I’m level 12 already with all the level 3 gear and level two books.
@Manah As far as i know, deleting a game also deletes everything associated with it but sure, i might be wrong.
@Darknyht There is a massive difference between "pacing a game for smaller play sessions" and limiting it to playtime shorter than it takes to lead the game (No joke, Quests are around 30sec each, and in the beginning, you can take two of those, so starting the game up, menuing etc, takes longer than you get to actively play it)
And to be brutally honest...you can pace a game like that without nickel and diming people. Nothing against you personally here, but i'm sick and tired of excuses made to defend predatory business practices like this.
I get that a life service game needs to make revenue to stay afloat long term. Server costs, active development, yadda yadda. I get that.
And i have nothing against keeping projects like that afloat with microtransactions.
But as far as i'm concerned, they need to be reasonable.
Involving premium currency for literally everything you do is not what i would call reasonable at all.
@master2873 again, same as the above, nothing against you personally, but all this is finding excuses to justify grossly aggressive monetization schemes at best.
Like i said, i have nothing against a reasonable approach to MTX, these games need to make money somehow.
But the way it's done here is just silly. I've yet to another game involving premium currency in literally everything it has to offer.
And frankly, i find it baffling that people can say "But look how bad these games are doing it" without realizing the irony that all of them became that way from people finding ways to excuse it in the past.
This trend isn't getting any better. And the more support and excuses they get, the more aggressive these practices become.
Again, to all of you: Don't take it as a personal attack, you are free to like and play whatever and however you want. None of my business. I'm just sick and tired of seing MTX being used more and more aggressively.
It’s a nice little game to play between bigger releases. Thanks for the passwords!
@oatmaster You can spend $40 to get 5000 gem apples and 2000 daily from the gem apple tree. Effectively then you own the game. Just don't delete the save because as other users pointed out you would lose everything.
Using the gem apples you can buy a codex that decreases the time it takes for the vigor to regenerate. Effectively you could play all day at that point if you really wanted to.
I unlocked 2 tiers of it and can play for about an hour before having to actively wait for it to regenerate.
I played for 8 hours yesterday without spending any money and never ran out of things to do or felt like I had to grind to progress.
Amazing for a "Free to play" game.
@Einherjar oh look, another person who has no clue what they are talking about.
Great job using the beginner quests as an example in your rant, it really shows your intelligence. Higher stages take much longer.
There is nothing aggressive about, it gives free players incentives to do mission objectives to get the apples while also giving incentives to impatient players to buy a pack here and there.
Please don’t compare Gacha games to games like this either, £40 to unlock everything in a game (basically, a full game), meaning you’ll never need to wait for apples again is NOT comparable to spending £200 to get 1 character in FEH.
Save your saltiness for games that actually deserve it. Nintendo has no problem charging £60 for a game that was ported from 3DS.
There’s no gambling in this game, no need to spend £200+ per character banner. This is a F2P game DONE RIGHT.
@Domova Yup, your ad hominem convinced me and completely changed my mind!
I am now a big fan of MTX, as other games have done it worse!
It's just something well its kinda strange how this other kirby game is still alive..
Cooldown timers are a non-issue if you don't go dying in quests all the time. I've yet to be forced to wait for an energy refill at Level 40. MTX in this game is totally optional, unless you suck.
Screw free to start nonsense, even if this was fun, making it free to start makes it NOT fun, meaning I will not be downloading this. Maybe it would have been cool as DLC for Kirby Star Allies, but as free to start, meh
@Einherjar deleting a game on Switch removes the game itself and icon from home menu but keeps the save data on the system
@Einherjar
Don't worry, I never took it as an attack. I'm the same way, but there are ways of doing F2P right, and this games does do a good amount of it right. It's just those higher rarity gear, and level required stages that will murder you on gems later. There is at least 14 rarities, not counting DX's of past gear. DX of beginner gear is like 82 gems a piece. A bit too much. Sadly, the same can be said about WarFrame as well. Not to mention that game lacks a good form of progression, and pacing. This also puts to good use of my Nintendo Online membership since the other games I have can be a bit problematic online with others. Of course, not counting NES, and SNES as well. One of the worst things this games does is, if the host leaves, all the vigor used to play that quest is still taken regardless. That pisses me off to no end to be perfectly honest.
@ONLYUSEmeFEET
I see we meet again fellow past Game Grumps fan lol. Also yes, and Jesus Christ! Power leveled didn't you? Took me a decent time just to get to level 38. Now it's just the cost for gear now that is raking me over the coals along with trying to progress with stages. I was able to buy all newest rarity gear for my main class, now I might have to skip a couple entirely because of costs.
I've had a lot of fun so far with this, ha. Thanks for the codes. Glad the Japanese ones work, too. ^^
I played the first one it was a fun game. The online should make it alot easier to progress.
At least though there is a spending limit in the game. Though yes, micro-transactions are still an issue...that needs to die.
@LunacyJosh The spending limit seems to be only if you buy the $40 bundle, which is effectively a lifetime subscription. Tiers don't stack so it's not like if you spend $40 over a period of time your gem apple tree will reach max level. The game will actively try to encourage you to buy the next level with periodic reminders like "If you buy a 250 gem apple bundle your tree will level up." However, if you don't want to grind everything then the $40 pack works. I suspect that for most players a $10 pack should suffice unless they start adding a lot of stuff later on that encourage more.
For anyone having trouble with the passwords, they are case sensitive.
@LunacyJosh & @Wilforce
As much as I don't like microtransactions, they don't belong In a premium game that you had to pay for, unless it was straight DLC. The game may encourage purchasing Gem apples in its own way, but it's totally not required if you play smart, and play online as well. I've been hoarding gem apples for a bit now, and I have over 650 of them at level 46 or so. Just stay away from stickers unless there are a couple you REALLY want, but I don't recommend buying them. There are more things I should be getting, but haven't yet either. Like the books that increase the stats a bit per class. Just focus on buying stages, and unlocking more by beating story stages for online. As online stages take half the vigor to play, and every time you level, your vigor is restored. Just play around with knowing that, and if you plan stuff out slightly, you won't run out of vigor for a while, if at all. I'm level 46+ and I've yet to run out of it completely.
Also, maybe focus on about 2 classes from the start or so. The later gear, and DX gear will be pretty expensive, along with later solo stages. From what I've read though, they toned down a bit from the 3DS version how much was needed to unlock stages. Not to mention, this game is expanded, and got the HD treatment.
It's a fun little time waster, and wasn't expecting to have this much fun with it. There are some downsides. Like the online/netcode being bad. If someone also leaves an online game it causes the whole game to disconnect, and makes EVERYONE lose the vigor it took to start it in the first place. Which I wish it would be patched somehow. I guess I was just craving a online Co-op Kirby game. Which just gets me to thinking about the SNES Nintendo Switch Online games being online 2 player with friends. It needs Kirby Super Star too!
Well, I played 14 hours straight and then 8 hours straight.
The game is pretty addictive in the beginning. I'm Level 43 now.
All the time I wondered, does the energy ever run out? Do I ever have to pay money or wait a couple of minutes to continue playing? The answer is no, never.
@SKTTR Finally someone smart enough, yeah just play Story Missions, then go Online, do the quests, level up, etc.. It's really not a greedy game.
@Darknyht They could make purchases either tied to the Account with a system Update or fix the issue only in-game, well not like it matters too much if you have NSO (cloud saves).
@Manah Yeah exactly, it is stupid that you lose stuff if you lose the save file, but it's the same kind of stupid deleting the save file lol.
How do you type this figure (タ) on the switch? I can't find it on the keyboard.
@SKTTR
Oh sure it does... When you run into games of people who leave mid game, or are using a combination of McDonald's, and Walmart internet, on top of the sh*tty netcode this game has. I lost half of my online vigor in less than 2 minutes from people leaving/disconnecting. All it takes is for one person to leave and the whole session is ended with the vigor used to start it GONE! Then the later levels in the 50+ take some serious XP and damn near requires you to empty your online vigor alone just to level... Doesn't help either there isn't customer support for this game either. So effectively, they don't give a sh*t, and there is no one to turn to when you get robbed like I have MULTIPLE TIMES!
@master2873 From my perspective you need an extraordinary amount of bad luck and bad skills to ever run out of vigor. I also got disconnected a couple of times, but since I always have at least half of the second vigor bar left when leveling up it didn't matter at all.
I guess things could change at approx. Level 50+ but until then you have at least 30 hours of free play.
@bluesun the difference is that now you can actually enter the Japanese passwords even when you’re not playing in Japanese
@HappyMaskedGuy I disagree. I do think Micro Transactions are annoying. What I'm saying is, this game does it right. In most other game with micro transactions, you where pretty much forced to pay to get anywhere. But in SKC, they are properly executed. They are actually an option for once. This game has almost no paywalls. Gem Apples are plentiful, and with good spending habits, you can make it through the game with little grinding without spending money. There is some grinding, but it's still fun. Leveling up is easier, so the Vigor Bar is never empty. Micro Transactions are a stupid concept, but give this game a chance. You'll be surprised. If anything, this game is just teaching kids how to spend money responsibly, but without real money! Needless to say, Nintendo has done Micro Transactions correctly. Something that is so rare nowadays it's sad. I definitely recommend this game, especially if you want to get into Kirby, but can't afford a full priced game.
@HappyMaskedGuy Precisely the reason why I hacked the other game, Team Kirby Clash Deluxe, to get infinite gem apples and fragments. If you're wondering how all I needed to do was save the progress to my SD card and modify the data values of the gem apples and the fragments. If you call fighting Kracko an ordeal, that doesn't even compare to finding the information and software required to change that data. I needed to use another site to change my data because I want to see a show of hands, does anyone here understand Unicode? Yeah, that's what I thought. But that's beside the point. The point is I'd rather spend an hour trying to adjust my data than spend five dollars. And once I have the software to modify it (which I now do) if I want to do it again, it only takes 5 minutes.
@Kirbit931 That is an option, but that is a lot of work for a throwaway game and you are essentially valuing an hour of your personal (and limited) time at $5.
@SKTTR I am running into problems with Apples, but mostly because I spend them like they are replenishable and not finite. If I run out there, I will do something else. I mean it is a game where money (Apples) literally grows on a tree.
@SIMOMEGA I think you have me confused with someone else as I was pointing out the game simply needs to be patched to resolve the issue. Everything you suggested is an option, and the solution is to just do what Nintendo already does for mobile games signed into a Nintendo Account.
@SKTTR
Oh yeah! So far the upper 50's are brutal on leveling (at least for the time being until I start the harder quests that recommend level 60+). When quests take 21+ (online even, so that value is actually half of original) vigor, and you bearly have 100+ total. I'm around level 56-57 I think with about of 20+ hours of play. The well of gem apples gets pretty shallow later as well. Tier 14, and 15 (the last two) are not worth investing into at all until you unlock the DX, and SDX varients of them, and even then, the weapon and armor alone before DX and SDX, will cost you 200+ gem apples EASY! The DX, and SDX varients are roughly twice as much as the previous, and the game encourages using the same tier level items as you get a boost in stats as well, and the DX varient alone is required for progression, not to mention the gem apples needed to unlock the story quests as well, and they don't even give you back a good fraction of what you paid to have them unlocked to beat them (Maybe except for the final mission. You get 80 for beating it).
For as much as they get right, they also get wrong I think. I've seen much worse, and the game is fairly generous, but you being punished for someone griefing/awful internet, and the game's s****y netcode is wrong. Along with a lack of customer support. The game has been out for a while (on the 3DS), and they seem to have improved everything but netcode. That would be my biggest complaint so far. That, and making your save have all the purchases tied to it also means, that the Gem apples are not server sided. Someone could easily cheat the game, and I very much doubt the server does checks to make sure it's legit. Especially since all the connections are P2P between players. There is room for improvement, and additions since it's now on the Switch. I hope it gets them. It's a fun and flawed game like many others.
Danke für die Liste der Codes.
Ich hab Kirby Clash auch gespielt. Wer mag kann gern mal vorbei schauen.

Am Ende des Gameplay gibt es auch ein Fazit von mir dazu.
If you save up a little and buy your current highest tier weaponry and armour, all the lower levels that you haven't bought yet will periodically get discounted in the store, so that way you can buy them cheaper for those achievements.
codes and codes just endless..
if anyone is having trouble with the japanese passwords, go to this guy's video list! he types all the japanese codes and shows you how to do it:

It is worth noting, you can upgrade the tree to level 3, as of this writing, for less than a dollar, which gets you a fair amount of apples one time, and also triples the tree's output. Which is a start, anyhow.
@HappyMaskedGuy You’re mad because you get to play a game entirely for free up front instead of having to pay first?
I’m level 51 with tier 15 gear and 250 gem apples in reserve and I have not made any MTX in the game.
You’re just complaining for the sake of complaining, young people these days don’t appreciate anything and just whine and complain.
@BoFiS Your loss. The game is fantastic and I never would of played it if it wasn’t free.
Many people don’t see the benefits of a game being free to start, or whatever. The game is free, i’m level 51 with tier 15 gear and I have about 250 gem apples in reserve. I had about 700 but I spend 300 on codex and about 150 on gear.
The game is very much free if you have patience and a little bit of smarts.
Like I said, your loss because the game is very fun.
Also, it only takes 2 measly gem apples to refill vigor. It probably increases with each refill in a small timespan, but I haven’t used it more than twice in 51 levels. If you use your vigor smart, and buy 2 apple refills sparingly you can get very far in the game without buying anything.
@Einherjar
You must be 4 years old and your thumbs move at the pace on an incapacitated turtle, so that explains why you can’t pass the early missions and sustain your vigor through leveling up.

Oh gee, no one really asked for you opinion. If you like micro transactions then please do, no else has to be forced to like it. Free or not, it's stupid that to level up faster you have to pay money. They need to fix the connection for the Online Plaza; getting disconnected is not fun at all.
For those who are reading, there are two more ways to get free apples, though I am not sure of the time limit.
There is a small item on the Switch News, if you enter the game through that news message, you get 10 free apples.
If you have an Online subscription, go to the Nintendo Shop and go to Nintendo Online, there is a gift you can receive for 100 apples.
Why are people complaining about an old 3ds game?
I got 99 Gem Apples from beating the Tetris Grand Prix, but I don’t play this game. The code I was given to redeem them is C05F055PT2F52B8J.
What @bluesun said.
Also スーパーカービィハンターズ comes up as an incorrect password for me.
Honestly? I don't have a problem with the whole Free To Start thing. It's way better than all of the other attempts Nintendo made. They also cared about making it be a lot fairer: if you buy no gapples (gem apples) shoppe magolor tells you that you need 50 for the tree to grow: if you buy 200 gapples green magolor still tells you that you need 50! A blatant dick move would be that you needed to buy 300 gapples for tree growth but that's not the case at all!
Also, don't go for the 4000 gapples. The MAX pack costs only a bit more and gives you 2000 gapples every harvest instead of like 450.
