Review SteamWorld Dig (Wii U eShop)
Groundbreaking!
The two hottest properties in indie gaming right now are Sweden and spelunking. From Amnesia to Hotline Miami to Goat Simulator to that DotA song, a hugely disproportionate number of big independent releases the last few years have come from Swedes; whether it's Cave Story, Shovel Knight,

Video The Weird and Wonderful World of the SteamWorld Miiverse Communities
Co-presented by Allbran Sigson
Miiverse is, alas, one day going to be but a treasured memory. A quirky part of the Wii U and 3DS landscape, Nintendo is moving on and not including its bespoke social network on the Switch; that's a bit of a pity, as some entertaining posts will no doubt be lost. Image & Form has now produced a funny video...

News Nintendo eShop Selects Games Go Up for Pre-Order on the Official UK Store
Printed premium
Back in late July it was confirmed that Nintendo of Europe would be releasing both FAST Racing NEO and the SteamWorld Collection as Wii U disc games under the 'Nintendo eShop Selects' banner, both due on 30th September. It's certainly an exciting development for Shin'en Multimedia and Image & Form, seeing their eShop games...
News Nindie Favourites Coming To Wii U Disc Under Nintendo eShop Selects Label
FAST Racing NEO and SteamWorld Collection leading the charge
The Wii U eShop has really punched above its weight during its short lifespan with many excellent Nindie games (and a few terrible ones) being made available for lucky gamers to download. Some of our favourites are Shin'en Multimedia's FAST Racing NEO and Image & Form's SteamWorld Dig...

The pressure's building
Image & Form has established itself as a Nindie to be reckoned with thanks to the eShop releases of SteamWorld Dig and SteamWorld Heist, both arriving on the 3DS and Wii U. It seems that those titles will be getting combined into one steamy bundle, too. A USK (German) rating from May has been spotted
News Fear Not SteamWorld Dig Fans, A Direct Sequel Could Still Happen
"But will we ever see the SteamBots in 3D?"
During our many excursions at EGX this year we found ourselves chatting to Brjann Sigurgeirsson from Image & Form, the developer most notably responsible for SteamWorld Dig and the upcoming SteamWorld Heist. During the interview we learnt that although every SteamWorld game thus far has been of a...

Well, it's happened, and it's quite a landmark for the Wii U and 3DS eShop and a few key developers. The latest Humble Bundle - which groups games together and allows you to pay what you want to unlock some or all of what's on offer - is currently offering up the Humble Nindie Bundle in the Americas; unfortunately gamers in other...
About The Game
SteamWorld Dig is a platform mining adventure with strong Metroidvanian influences.
Take the role of Rusty, a lone mining steambot, as he arrives at an old mining town in great need. Dig your way through the old earth, gaining riches while uncovering the ancient threat that lurks below.
Game features:
- Carve a path through the earth, and explore a deep underground world full of secrets, treasure and terrors.
- Uncover the remnants of Human civilization, a degenerate race of drunken, dynamite-wielding troglodytes.
- Meet the weird and interesting townsfolk of Tumbleton and help the community get back on its feet.
- Beautiful, high-res graphics with dynamic lights and multiple parallaxed background layers.
- Randomized worlds with emergent gameplay - a fancy way of saying that the game is both fun and replayable!
- Clutter-free HD graphics. The map and other interface elements are now displayed on the Wii U GamePad
- Off-TV Play. Continue digging on the Wii U GamePad even when your TV is occupied or turned of
- Support for Wii U Pro Controller.
