It’s got the rhythm
The early part of 2012 has brought us some blockbuster titles on 3DS that, in their own way, involve plenty of tension and shooting enemies. Perhaps it’s time to sit back and indulge in something a little more off the wall and unexpected, and Rhythm Thief & the Emperor’s Treasure certainly fits the bill. Despite the...

It's still a digital event, as we're not out of the woods yet, but that means we'll be seeing all the big names on the (virtual) stage again. But will Nintendo give us everything we've hoped for, or will we be left a little...

Feature Our Top 10 Third-Party 3DS Games - Summer 2013
Going beyond Nintendo
Last week the Nintendo Life staff voted for their favourite 3DS games at the moment, with retail and download-only titles eligible. Getting in before the swathe of hot releases coming in the next few months — kicking off with Animal Crossing: New Leaf this week — it reflected just how far the system's library had come, with...
News Rhythm Thief Joins Layton in Jump to iOS
Sneaky dancer
Yesterday we brought you the news that a new Professor Layton title is heading to iOS and Android, so it only seems appropriate that we report on another DS/3DS title that's making the leap to smartphones and tablets. An iOS release of Rhythm Thief & the Emperor's Treasure, or Rhythm Kaitou R as it's known in Japan, is listed on...

News Rhythm Thief Producer Aims to Revive Music Games
Hopes to immerse gamers in the story
We rather liked Rhythm Thief & the Emperor's Treasure here at Nintendo Life, which has made the apparently underwhelming sales in Europe a particular disappointment. The title is set for release in North America on 10th July, however, and producer Shun Nakamura — who worked on Samba De Amigo on Dreamcast...

News This Rhythm Thief Concert is Seriously Groovy
Feel the beat
Rhythm Thief & the Emperor's Treasure is a title perfectly suited to 3DS, with its numerous bite-size rhythm levels and quirky humour, and is definitive proof that SEGA can still give us fun games. One of its best features is the funky and toe-tapping soundtrack, so we were pretty pleased when we discovered this footage of a music...

Wow, the demo is awesome. I really want this game now.
Music in the demo is class. This game might well be a worthy purchase, and this genre's never really been my thing.
The demo was a big surprise! I want this game now.
This looks to be fun , seriously i want a variety of games and this one looks like it be something to pick up , thank god theres gamefly and blockbuster etc.
The wait for the US will be long, but I can take it! Bring on the rhythm!
less than a month to go now, can't wait
and wait, what demo?!?! arg
After trying the demo, I'm no longer interested in getting the game right away. It doesn't seem to hold a candle to Theatrhythm...
I hope I'm wrong. I'll wait until it drops in price.
Wish a sequel existed
