(There's a fire spell, which should be available soon. You need it to beat a couple enemies, or maybe just those. They're easy to avoid for now.)

I think you get Fire in the first town after you beat palace 3.
So, cross the ocean with the raft and head right, and you will get fire, I think.

Edit: I confirmed that this is correct. Fire spell is in Nabooru.

I'll have to restart this game, seeing as how I've already wasted P-bags.

You should try not to waste P-bags, but they're not that big a deal. I wouldn't restart for that. Just play a temple repeatedly until you level up to the desired level.

I suck, because I keep getting hit, losing experience points in the process. I also can't get past that #$%! knight!

StarFox, you need to learn the jump-slashing technique, because those Iron Knuckles are abundant.
You will fail at the game until you learn how to beat them.

To jump-slash, jump toward them. When your sword is at (their) eye-level, slash. This attack hits the Iron Knuckles at an approximate 100% success rate.

Jump, slash, back up, repeat.

Its been a while since I've played this game. Got stuck in the second temple and gave up. I really don't like how this game saves your levels but not your xp.

But watching the Nerd play through it the way he does, it almost makes me want to give it another go.
