Topic: WiiWare Recommendations Thread

I am considering downloading Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 1 and I was wondering if this game is worth getting? I heard that there are some issues with the WiiWare version of this game such as bad framerates and audio problems. Have these technical problems been fixed or are they not as bad as I've heard? I can't get it on PC because I don't have one so WiiWare is my only option.

Should I get FFIV: the after years? I got FFIV (DS) for Christmas, and I haven't finished it yet(I just got the enterprise), but it is a really awesome game.

of these with 1200 pts would you all recommend that i buy - & i am trying my best to support the wiiware service as i think it is a great option to traditional hard copy games.

Finish FFIV trust me. The game is a direct sequel 20 years into the future. There is still important stuff you will want to know from the original. That being said yes if you love FFIV you will love the after years.

Ok for me how do people feel about flowerworks? Having a hard time making my decision even based off reviews and gameplay videos. Usually I'm not a puzzle fan, but this game looks pretty fun.

Flowerworks is excellent. Worth every penny. Fun, addictive, challenging, lots of depth and variety and replay value.

I think it's worth geeting. Great fun, as all Monkey Island games are, even with the "issues". You sort of get used to them after a while.

Should I wait for Super Meat Boy, or should I get Super Smash Brothers? Im getting them both, I just want to know which one I should get first.

Well I haven't played either, but I have heard that Little Tournament over yonder is really mediocre. Eduardo the samurai toaster I heard is pretty fun, but gets really repetitive.

Man I really have to discourage you from getting Harvest Moon my Little Shop. The game is really not that good. Most of the mini games are overly simplistic and boring. It is kind of like Bonzai Barber and Pokemon ranch, but not nearly as fun. Read the review too. I'm telling you it's not very good.

By the way I just got Flowerworks last night. Finally decided to get it. Great game and I'm not really even much of a fan of puzzlers.

I´ve got 2,000 ponts, And since i like pool games and poker, Im thinking about geting:

cue sports - pool revolution - 500 (is this one better than midnight pool?)
Tv king show 2 OR Water warfare - 800 (which one is better?)
and
texas hold'em Poker -600 (is this game good? i've read some mixed reviews)

Im not so sure about the Poker game, so since i would still have 100 points left, could you guys recommend me a good 700 points game?

700? That'll be a bit hard to recommend to you. If you like platformers, there's a ton on the NES (Super Mario Bros. 3, Mega Man 1, 2, and 3, Kirby's Adventure, Castlevania, etc.) and on the Turbografx there's the Bonk games (I recommend Bonk's Revenge.) There's a ton of great Shmups on the Turbografx (Blazing Lazers, Lords of Thunder, Air Zonk.) Any genre's in particular? I could probably recommend you something on VC that'll be worth your time.

Im not really a fan of puzzles (altough i Loved world of Goo, but who didn´t?). I like sports, plataform/adventure games.

I would rather get wiiware games than VC cause i played most of them in their consoles, but how about those games I said, are they good?
