Two games you might consider: Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary - Not brilliant, but a nice throwback to classic platformers with cleaned up graphics and controls. Especially good if you remember playing through the original back on PS1. Underworld is also available, but didn't that one have a game-breaking bug in the Wii version? The Munchables - Not really sure what to say about this one. It's certainly weird, but rather enjoyable if you don't mind bright colors, mild potty humor, and a low difficulty level. Not exactly a platformer... but I'm not sure what else to call it either.
On a side-note, finally going through the end of Mushroom Men now. The game has obvious flaws, but I've really enjoyed it anyway. Glad to see others on the forums bring it up.
On a side-note, I wish there were more classic N64 games on the Virtual Console service. I'd love to see Rocket: Robot on Wheels, or Space Station Silicon Valley, or Conker's Bad Fur Day, or Banjo Kazooie. (Obviously those last two will never happen while Microsoft owns Rare.)

I actually thought Anniversary was pretty decent and solid.
"They say video games are bad for you? That's what they said about rock n' roll."

Oh yeah, that's a good recommendation. I need to get that game at some point.

Agreed. I'm happy to own Anniversary - wouldn't have recommended it otherwise.
I'd like to try Underworld also. Having checked online, it seems like the bug I mentioned above isn't as bad as it was initially made out to be (ie: doesn't usually occur, and if it does then you probably only have to restart from an earlier save). So potentially annoying, but not game-breaking if you know what the issue is.
