I'd like to see a Wii Art game (probably needing one of those tablet peripherals), that allowed you to share art and animation much like in Hatena.
Although you'd be able to share art with your friends if it's considered too rude to post to the wider community.
Speaking of tablets though, what's the possibility of firmware that'll allow you to plug in a graphics tablet to the USB port in the back of the Wii? When this uDraw (or whatever it's called) comes out, it'll be packaged with a tablet, but if there's one thing I know about cheap graphics tablets (likely, they'll package the most cost-effective one with the game), is that the cheaper they are, the harder it is to draw something with them.
yeah.. i think you fail to acknowledge the fact that FF7 had more of a cultural effect and impact (esp. for future RPGs but also gaming in general) than any of those games, therefore making him (Cloud) the most known protagonist within that respectable Sony console.

I absolutely agree that FFVII was an important game (it's one of my favourites) so thank you for confirming my point. "Annoying kids" don't have the chops to be a cultural or gaming phenomenon.
However nothing I said was opinion. It's a fact that Crash Bandicoot and Kratos are Sony properties and represent Sony Entertainment's efforts in gaming. It's a fact that Final Fantasy started on a Nintendo console and continues to have releases on Nintendo consoles, as evidenced by that series of pictures.
FYI FFVII was also released on the PC, which is the platform I played it on. There's your Playstation exclusivity out the window.
FFVII being important for gaming doesn't mean it was a mascot representative of Sony. That's like saying the well-received Sonic Colours is a landmark title for Nintendo. I quote Mickeymac for his succinct accuracy and because I write too much:
Sony had 2 successful consoles with formats that fit their ambitions, and FF just goes where the money goes. FF has always been on the most successful consoles, regardless of who makes said console. Square-Enix is a third party, after all, and they own their own IPs.
Also this isn't really important, but you underestimate the impact FFIV had on JRPGs as a genre. From a game history perspective it may even be more important than FFVII was.
The "re-rise" of gaming didn't happen with the Playstation. It happened around 1985 with the western release of the NES. There has not been a significant downward trend in gaming as a hobby or as a business since Atari closed up and arcades across the nation shut down prior to the NES's release. The 90s were, if anything, already a high time for gaming well before the Playstation (both in terms of game quality and sales) as many of the members on this forum can verify first-hand.

Ergo anyone who likes Sony and its consoles are annoying (and that is a rather large proportion of the gaming population). FFVII had widespread cultural and gaming impact even though no one liked it. (Except for annoying people.) What? Instead of using puzzling take-no-sides PC jargon like "respectable" and "I respect your opinion", just write what you think. I'd appreciate your own coherent opinion - regardless of whether it's the same opinion as mine.

He's Final Fantasy's poster child. He's the poster child of the whole damn genre. There just happens to be a lot of FF and RPG fans on Sony systems because that's where the RPGs have been for years. There's even a chance that a Before Crisis remake could come to the 3DS, not only because a member of S-E expressed interest in doing so, but also because that's probably where the RPGs will be next gen.
Why are we arguing about Cloud, though? I thought WaltzElf expressed intrest in bringing Chocobos to Brawl, not Cloud, even if Cloud is more likely. (Though the Chocobos would make a decent replacement for Sonic)
Until Sony throws a ton of money at them to keep anything 'Cloud/FF7-ish' on one of their systems.
The DS has been THE platform for JRPGs for years ( IMO ), with no Cloud-FF7-related games, that doesn't even enter into it, when it comes to the bidding table. It's all about the moolah being offered for the exclusivity.

Actually, it's been pretty even between the PSP and the DS, and some even consider the PSP the go-to system. Lets also not forget that the PSP is more Powerful, satisfying S-E's lust for flashy graphics, and that Monster Hunter has made the PSP a hit among RPG fans in Japan. The DS also lacks the Playstation Store, so you can't get FF7 on it for $10. And I have not seen any evidence that Sony made any kind of exclusivity deal with Sony, in fact, it's quite the opposite. The character has been on numerous non-Sony Platforms. That alone proves that there's no exclusivity deal. I think Clouds just going where his fans are.
I too want FF7 on Nintendo, I dont get why people say sony owns the rights, they dont sony just published it in USA kind of how Nintendo published 1-3 in USA so we have no problem, also I think it would be up to Square of Japan because its actually from there.
