Topic: Does anyone here still use the Wii internet channel?

I use it all the time, since my computer is upstairs and my Wii is downstairs. It helps that I have a keyboard plugged in to my Wii all the time too, so typing isn't a mega chore anymore.

Now if only it would load websites faster, then it would be (nearing) perfect.

For the DSi browser, disable loading of images and set it to column mode (where everything is displayed vertically across both screens) and then it works almost as fast as the Wii browser.

I have never used it, why would I, if it is very slow and I can use my computer? Im sure that nobody in my house have ever used the Wii interrnet chanel once.

I live with one other person and we have a desktop, two laptops and a Blackberry so it's not necessary. It's such a hassle to use. I would imagine people who have families could find use for it, but it seems like everyone has mobile web these days.

I used to use it, but then I got a laptop. Seems sort of pointless now. Ah well, it was free, so it doesn't matter.

I use it for YouTube, it's great for music lessons like piano.
But regular sites load so slow, and I have the fastest wifi available to me!

I use it from time to time - it starts up faster than my computer. (You don't even have to turn WiiConnect24 on to use the Internet Channel.) Had I a computer that was made this century, I might have less use for the Internet Channel. But it does work quite well for me.

Nope never do. I feel it is pretty poor and never updated often enough.

I have over 2000 hours logged on it according to my Nintendo Channel record. And I know for a fact that its much more. However, I do have a habit of just leaving it on while I step away. I mainly use it at nights or when someone else is using the main P.C. If I had access to the main P.C. at all times, I'd never use the Wii internet channel though.

I'll use it to check my e-mail quickly, but other than that its pointless. Its so slow that its not reliable for long internet searchings...

Way to slow and I end up just getting mad and say forget it and get on the PC.

It's great for Youtube, and it would be great for Newgrounds as well if not for it running out of Flash somehow after five minutes.
But still, sites like Flipnote Hatena and Nintendo Life are very acceptable for it, and it's necessary for PlayOn which is semi-decent.

The Internet Channel works fine for my needs, I don't see a problem with it.

Yes I use it all the time, it's great always a handy thing to have. As for the speed, it's pretty fast and I can't complain since for many many years I was stuck with dial up, and the connection was sloooooow even for dial up. So now I'm used to having to wait for things to load and it doesn't bother me.

Its much easier&faster than a pc!When i game,lying on my bed,and i need to have a quick look at a walktrough,i saved in favorites(star).AND...i found a way to WRITE,and read email on my Wii.Make a Yahoo emailaccount on a pc.Log on Yahoo mail on Wii.Set Yahoo mail in CLASSIC mode,and voila!ps:to write email,ONLY on PLAIN text! good luck!
