I don't like using hand controls with dance games. I have the DDR2 game, which only uses the pad. I have been looking for another dance game like this that doesn't require you to use the remote (to expand my music options) but haven't had any luck. Is anyone aware of a Wii dance game that at least has the option to not use the Wii remote with the dance moves? Thanks.
Save for the DDR series (of which, there are five for the Wii: Hottest Party I, II, III, DDR, DDR2), there's not much else out there. I've never tried them, but there's also the Active Life series (which also came with a mat) from Namco and "Walk It Out" by Konami.

Bear in mind that you will need an original Wii console with GameCube compatibility, as I believe that the Dance mats are connected to the console by using the GameCube controller input. I may be mistaken, however; so these games will not be compatible with the later Wii models without backwards compatibility, nor are they compatible with the Wii mini or Wii U.
There is a greater variety of dance and rhythm games in Japan, but they are seldom localised for international release.

I had HP and HP2, and you could disable remote waggle on both those games, iirc.
