Topic: Wii U GamePad Left Analog Stick Problems

Hey guys. I am currently playing Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii U eShop and have noticed a problem with the left analog stick. If I push the stick forward, then after going back into position still registers as going slightly forward. It's the same problem when tilting back, but oddly not tilting it left and right. I tried resetting the neutral position of the sticks and still no luck. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas about how to fix this problem, most preferably without taking the GamePad apart.

Contact Nintendo and set up a repair. That's probably the best thing to do.

Sometimes my gamepad does that as well, since i'm cheap i just turn the analog in circles and blow into it. work afters i do that but maybe i'm just lucky.

I'm running into some issues with the left analog stick when I play SSB Wii u.. When I am moving the cursor up, on the menu, it's very sluggish. And when I'm in the middle of a battle, it doesn't respond..

This sort of problem is what made me wonder why the gamepad wasn't made modular, in that they could have had wiimotes attach on either side of the gamepad screen so if anything went wrong, you could simply detach the defective wiimote and replace it instead of a potential costly repair job on the entire gamepad.

Being as I'm on a limited budget and the gamepad is so integral to the whole system, I'm very anxious about potentially damaging it.

Having the same issue while playing Zelda BoTW on Wii U game pad. When I try getting Link to walk backwards, the Left move stick has him crouch instead. I'm not even pressing down on it and it still has Link crouch down. Is there a way to buy a new Game Pad separately from the Wii U consol or have this issue temporarily fixed? ..

GamePads aren't sold seperately. IT'll be best to contact your local Nintendo Support and they'll help you set a repair (if needed).

@BrokenLink9895 You'll probably find a used Wii U available on ebay for as cheap as you can get Nintendo to repair it for you, but it's worth asking them first I guess.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
