So after playing LoZ on the Wii U VC it has become apparent to me that Nintendo just lazily emulates the games for VC. Every VC game I have on my Wii U suffers from some sort of audio problem. In LoZ the sound keeps cutting out music and all until I enter another screen and kill something. It does this about every 30 seconds. In Mega Man 5 the sound fluctuates from high to low all the time. Super Metroid the sound every 30 seconds or so goes real loud.
I know it's not my tv or my connections cause I play Wii and Wii U disc games just fine no audio problems at all. I know it's not due to the that they are download games cause other games I got digitally like NSMBU, Chronicles of Mystara and Ducktales sound fine heck even the Bayonetta 2 demo is fine. So that means that the VC games are very sloppily emulated so I am wondering why is that? Is this just another example of Nintendo not caring about the VC? Seems pretty bad if I am willing to pay for something I should at least get it in its original condition.

So yeah I deleted Legend of Zelda and redownloaded it again and the audio problem is still there looks like I will be contacting Nintendo for a refund for that purchase. I can't believe that Nintendo treats the VC like they do.

Yeah in LoZ whenever I have 1 heart left, or in SMB3 when I'm collecting coins part of the background music goes missing. I thought that was just how NES games were, since my SNES and GBA games don't have audio problems.

i don't have any sound issues with these titles. are you in na or eu?

That is certainly how NES games are. They have limited audio channels, so whenever a background noise (such as coin collecting) pops up, one of the channels gets "used up", resulting in a part of the background music missing for a short time.

I am in NA and all my NES VC games suffer from audio problems. I only have Super Metroid on the SNES and that one two suffers from audio problems but I can't say SNES games too since I only have the one. But yeah all other games the audio is fine so I know it's not the connection, speakers etc. Not sure on the Wii VC but I don't have any VC games on Wiimode.

The sound issues is because the machine in no way can emulate the "Sound chips" that was on the original consoles 100%. Also unlike dedicated emulators on PC the WiiU/Wii/GCN will suffer in performances.
Even the SNES sound chips in no way matches the sound on an real SNES. It is like how Windows 98 out of the box will be more loud vs Windows NT6.0 out of the box. Back then we never had this thing today called "true sound" which means things from before was super loud but not perfected in what it really sounded like. Turning an Volume up on an television could make an sound that echos all the way down the street for miles. Nowadays because of this "true sound" method everything sounds muffled unless your using an specific kind of technology and encoding.
Hmm... so it's not just a one-man-issue?
I could only guess what the problem is... but since you have all kinds of audio issues I'd check my speaker cables first and try a new one. If that doesn't work I'd look into the tv audio settings and Wii U settings.
I had a problem where sound was getting louder sometimes, and it turned out it was an unidentifiable unnecessary option on my new tv I activated by curiosity.
Btw, my 40+ Wii U Virtual Console games (mostly NES, SNES, and GBA) run (and sound) just like the originals.
I know it's not the tv cause VC games run fine on my Wii and all my other games on my Wii U sound fine too no matter if they're digital or physical. All my other systems work fine too from my PS4 to my older systems like Dreamcast, SNES and PS2. It's only the audio on VC games on the Wii U.
