@Blue_Blur: Hey, congrats! That last match sounds really stressful but it's nice to hear you made it to S+. I'd say "welcome to the club" but I dropped to S yesterday XD
@Blue_Blur Congrats! Now you have to make it to S+ 99.
@Yokokazuo If it hits the puddle they're in, then they're dead, just to keep it fair on those of us who aren't very good at Chargers. Like me. XD
@TingLZ The killer wail's graphic has been changed, but in return, it feels like they've buffed it. It feels like there's less lag before and after firing it, which makes it much better for defending yourself. After letting a friend on Splatoon a few days ago, my rank had slipped considerably, but I've pulled myself back up to A+ 94 With straight wins, aided by quite a few KW kills!
I've come up with a game that we might want to try next time we play Splatoon minigames like H&S. I call it: Sniper Squid Survival! Basically, it's like this minigame from Mario Party:
Here are the rules in Splatoon terms:
Alpha Team: (Like Bowser in the minigame)
-Charger
-Charger
-Charger
-Charger
Can not use any gear with Recon!
Bravo Team: (Like Yoshi and the others in the minigame)
-Weapon with Burst Bombs
-Weapon with Beacons
-Any weapon (Preferably one with Burst Bombs)
-Any weapon (Preferably one with Burst Bombs)
How to Win: Like the minigame, the Bravo team will hide in 10 burst bomb-made puddles (like the cauldrons), and each sniper on Team Alpha will get two shots to guess which puddles the Bravo squids are hiding in. (So snipers will get to shoot at 8 puddles total). If the snipers splat all of Team Bravo, then they win! And if Team Alpha doesn't splat all of Team Bravo, then Team Bravo wins.
Rules:
-Walleye Warehouse (Since it has a flat middle ground.)
-Team Alpha will wait at the base for 1:30 seconds.
-The Mode will be set to RM, but of course, each team will ignore the RM.
-During the first 1:30 seconds while Team Alpha is waiting at their base, Team Bravo will set up 10 burst bomb puddles on their side of the boxes in the middle of the map, with small gaps in between the puddles. Each "puddle" is just one burst bomb thrown directly at the ground.
-The squid/kid with the beacons will set up 3 beacons by the side boxes. (So if a teammate gets splatted, they can super jump to a beacon, and be able to watch the snipers/support their teammates ASAP. No need to swim all the way back to the action!)
-Each Bravo kid/squid will then choose a puddle to hide in, and remain in there the entire time, until possibly being splatted. Moving between puddles is not allowed! However, more than one squid can be hiding in the same puddle. In fact, all the squids could hide in the same puddle if they wanted to!
-Once 1:30 seconds is up, Team Alpha will make their way to their side of the boxes in the middle of the map. From there, the snipers will quickly decide the order of who snipes first, second, and so on. The first chosen sniper will climb up onto the boxes to get a clear view of the burst bomb puddles that Team Bravo are hiding in.
-The other snipers may walk over to the side to watch the current sniper snipe.
-The sniper on top of the boxes will get 2 shots (so will pick 2 puddles to snipe at.)
-Once the first sniper has finished, the other snipers will repeat the snipe steps.
-Once all the snipers have gone, if any of Team Bravo is left, they will get out of the ink, and finish the match by getting a knockout with the RM.
-If the snipers manage to splat all of Team Bravo, then they will bring the RM over to declare victory!
That's a lot of rules! XD Sorry it's a long read, but I wanted to make sure it was clearly explained! Feel free to ask questions or make suggestions! I'm hoping this will be fun like H&S; not as much fun I predict, but it wouldn't hurt to try it out!

That brings back memories, I loved the GC Mario Party games!

Glad to see everyone wants to try out my game! Hopefully it'll be fun! I'll edit the post, again, to clarify that if a squid/kid on Team Bravo is in the puddle sniped, they are to be splatted, even if one hits doesn't splat them. If multiple shots are required to splat a squid, the extra shot will not count towards the 2 shots each sniper gets.
Can't wait to try out @shani's game, too! Sounds like fun! Burst Bombs FTW! XD
@Blue_Blur@Shani Continuing on the theme of using weapons to create games of potential fun, I thought about how Rollers could be turned into a fun game. The concept is flawed in several ways, but hey, it could be some fun:
Roller Tag!
The rules are not too dissimilar to regular tag, but it took a bit of creative thinking to get it to work. Basically, one person is the tagger, which I'm thinking could easily be settled by the person in the 'forward' postion of Team Alpha's spawn (I.e The person at the front of team Alpha, which will require everyone paying attention.). The teams have 1 minute to ink as much turf as they can, and any deaths here will not count. After the minute is up, no-one other than the 'tagger' can ink any turf whatsoever. This includes members of the tagger's team. This means that the teammates cannot kill other players, but they can still scout around to try and spot them. Once a player is dead on the opposing team, they become the 'tagger', and then have to splat a member of the opposing team. Whichever team has the 'tagger' at the end is the losing team.
To keep things quick and simple, superjumps are allowed only by the 'tagger', only rollers can be used (as they are non-ranged ohkos), but any roller may be used. Specials and Subs may NOT be used, excluding the first minute.
The map choice is limited to smaller maps without much vertical height, such as Port Mackerel and Walleye Warehouse, as these will increase the pace of matches, and they will be in the RM variant, for ease of not letting a team win accidentally.
Teamwork is vital, as whilst the tagger's teammates cannot ink turf, they act as extra eyes for the tagger, spotting any squid that pops out of the ink.
I debated whether to have the teammates able to spread ink, but if a squid is killed by accident, things could get complicated... The tagger could always squidbag repeatedly if they tag someone, but again, that could get complicated quickly. Dunno if anyone has any suggestions?
Also, how does this Sunday, normal time sound for having another set of private matches, with a couple of rounds of our user-created games, and a coupla rounds of H+Seek, which works brilliantly.
Perhaps, for ease of communication, a Chatovod should be set up, so that we can all message each other quickly, and without clogging up this Splatoon thread?
TheXReturns: I like the idea and I think it's ok if the other players can't shoot ink. They can still scout and signal 'to me' when they find someone.
Or you could, similar to the version of H&S that I found on squidboards, let everyone play with Point Sensors for scouting. Unfortunately, there is no roller with Point Sensors, so this would only work with the Custom Blaster which also is a short range 1HKO'er. This could be a variant of your game, Blaster Tag. ^^
I won't be at home this Sunday and maybe not even next weekend.
But I like that were making user-created games a regular weekend thing.
I'd like to try out Roller Tag and would also be curious whether my mode is any fun in practice. You guys go ahead try it and post how it was afterwards.
I played online and I did NOICE...........and that was it, THEND!
Also for @Blue_Blur, a NOICE for you, but with extra cheese and a large thing of fries,a large slushie with all the flavors, and a kids meal WITH a toy for my "little sister".
P.S. I'm not at a Burger King at this time on my ipod touch ordering food while making this comment this late, that's absurd, yet genius thinkin'!
I made Sheldon & Mr. Randoms back on Flipnote Hatena, now i'm a kangaroo mod that has a funko pop collection!
I'm not keen politics since that stuff is spooky, I'd rather watch SpongeBob over Fox News anyways!
@Vee_Flames: Reverse your avatar because us working people don't get a "Spring Break" lol
Why does everyone relate my avatar to what I say? It's funny, because I wanted to reference my avatar in some way while I was making that post!
Well, I'm just glad spring break is here... I have a lot of things to do during the holiday week, but at the same time all I want to do is play Splatoon.
Played Splat last night and it was SUPA SWELL!, with the new update I had no connection problems and won a bunch in rank, will be playing more for the time being.
I actually really like that Splatfest idea! I would be on Callie's side, which makes it even better! You guys can probably guess why I'm on Team hoverboard.
