Topic: Should I buy a WiiU now?

I can finally get a get a WiiU...but I'm scared I will be bored of it because it doesn't seem to be a lot out for it at the moment, or is it?! Please someone assist me!

If in doubt, wait. Things can only get better, as more games come out and possible price cuts.

If you like Nintendo games, they will come. If Nintendo games are not important, than I'd look elsewhere.

Same thing is true as it is for everything. If there's enough there that interests you then yes, if not then no. How do you know what's good? Metacritic is a good start:

On that list the exclusives are:
84% - New SMB U
82% - Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
80% - Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition
80% - Lego City Undercover
77% - Nintendo Land
77% - ZombiU

If you have other consoles and the above don't interest you then wait

I am a monster hunter fan lol and I have it for 3ds and it was pushing me to get a WiiU and how is Nintendoland?

I had some freinds over for Nintendo Land multiplayer once, it was a lot of fun. The singleplayer is only okay though, some tech demo stuff that wears off after one or two times of playing it for some of the games.

Wait until Christmas 2013 or early 2014.

Nintendoland is awesome I've had friends over and we played it for hours but I'd wait man atleast for pikmin 3 and the legend of Zelda windwaker man I can't wait to see crystal clear water on the game coral reefs hmmm yeahhh.

Monster Hunter is the only game you need... Other games will come and go on all systems but MHU will remain on heavy multiplayer rotation forever.

Until MH4 hopefully releases

NintendoLand is very good for what it is. If they had separated it into four downloadable minigame collections for $20AU each I would have been reasonably happy with all of them. If you have friends/family to play with you'll pour hours into the competitive attractions. The single player experience isn't as great but you'll easily spend quite a few hours in it. Especially if you get into DK's Crash Course as I did.

I'm not sure if I'd get a Wii U for it but it's well worth getting if you're going to get a Wii U.

I think I'll get it for MH3U because of it's online

They give you packet relay tools on the Wii U to get your 3DS copy of MH3U online. You need a LAN adapter for it to work(like $10 used or so), but you don't even have to buy the Wii U version if you already have the 3DS version.
Then you can go online with MH3U on your 3DS, then use the Wii U as an access point to go online.
There's gonna be tons of games that I think will be worth it, so I got it day one. No point in waiting if you know stuff is on the way. That's the way I look at it anyway...
It really depends on if you think Smash Bros., Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, Bayonetta 2, W101, Lego, etc. are titles you want. Those are for sure titles, and if 3rd parties stop being stubborn, then there will be more good titles on the way.
If GTA and Destiny come out on Wii U(which I think they will), I'm getting those day one. By then, Wii U will be a more relevant platform.
Wii U just trying to break away from the last gen stuff.

If there are game(s) that will keep you going for the next few months, then buy away. If not wait till there are games that would keep you occupied.

ZombiU, NSMBU and Monster Hunter 3 should last you until Pikmin 3, TW101 and NSLU. Alternatively...

Theres plenty of games out. In 4 months i have 25+ really good retail games.

i would say no for now, wait until there is a game you must have ie: Smash bros, mario kart or mario 3D. I have not used mine to play anything but nintendo land since a week after i got it. There is nothing to get right now... just waiting for pikmin 3

If you think you'll get one eventually now's as good a time as any. That Target sale price was pretty amazing. I'm really enjoying my WiiU through native games as well as Wii mode games.

There are few games that interest me right now in the Wii U. Netflix runs fine on it and there is a number of great downloadable games. When it comes to games, I think you should wait if you're willing to buy many games.

Here are the Wii U games I bought and what I think about them:
Lego City: Undercover: 9.0/10
Nintendo Land: 8.0/10
New Super Mario Bros. U: 9.3/10
Batman Arkham City: 10/10
Injustice: God's Among Us: 9.0/10

You could get a Wii U now I would guess, but it's your choice.
