What are your final thoughts on E3 2014, what did you enjoy the most & what didn't you like. Also what did you expect from Developers (Sony, Nintendo, Xbox, & 3rd party) but didn't happen?
My thoughts are that there are too many thoughts on E3 threads.
QUEEN OF SASS
It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
I liked it. All 3 companies focused on games, no BS this time around. I'll focus on Nintendo since this is a Nintendo website. Anyways I liked their approach to this E3 it actually made me tune in for the whole thing (that and the live comments with you guys was fun too).
The cat's the only cat who knows where it's at.

-Nintendo knocked it out of the park this year and are really trying to turn it around, and I think they can. Will they be on top? No. But I do think they'll be okay in the long run. The "Nintendo iz DOOOOMED" mentality needs to stop.
-Microsoft also came to play ball and they too are trying to turn things around. A few more people (myself included) now have a more positive view of the XB1.
-I expected a little more from Sony as far as exclusive games went. It was basically "you'll get exclusive content only on Playstation" or "early access to content only on Playstation" or "this game will be on Playstation FIRST". They showed Arkham Knight gameplay footage and Uncharted 4 and those were my highlights.
-I was expecting to see a little of the next Mass Effect, and we basically ended up getting a teaser of a teaser. Disappointing. But I guess Bioware needs to focus on hyping Dragon Age: Inquisition before showing off any new projects since DAI is the one coming out this year. Other than that, EA's presser sucked. Why is Bruce Lee in a video game?
-Assassin's Creed shouldn't be an annually released series. I think it would benefit greatly if they had at least two year gaps between games. I'm also surprised that Assassin's Creed Comet didn't make an appearance.
-I'm mostly excited for Arkham Knight, Uncharted 4, Zelda U, Bayonetta 2, Hyrule Warriors, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire
This had to be one of the greatest E3's in a while. Although I can't really comment about the competitors considering I didn't watch their presentations, I can say Nintendo stepped up their game this year for the best. In conclusion, my wallet is going to be empty when 2015 hits.

Then you won't have any money when the games roll in (in 2015).
Better say, my wallet is gonna be empty by 2015's end.
Nintendo's E3 format is the future no doubt about it. They managed to stay relevant through every day of E3 with major announcements coupled with extensive gameplay demos from the developers.
Microsoft really proved that they came to play ball, and that they aren't going down without a fight.
Sony completely dropped the ball with one of the worst E3 press conferences in recent memory, but it baffles me how little criticism they are getting. Despite giving pretty much no information other than the name, the media is putting Bloodborne on their "best of E3" list. They showed almost nothing for 2014, and most of the press conference was about 3rd Party games not exclusive to Sony's platform, in other words, not necessarily reasons to buy a PS4.
Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F
My final thoughts is
1. Ubisoft's direction worries me
2. Sony and Microsoft are likely sick of AAA gaming trends as much as I am
3. Nintendo's sad refusal to be consistently exciting at E3 is irrelevant in the long term
After the last few lackluster E3 shows, Nintendo brought their A game with AAA quality games. Sony and Microsoft played it safe. I think the didn't expect Nintendo to be as good as it was. Nothing surprised me about Xbox or Sony. i may pick up No Man's Sky if I ever get a PS4 though. It was mostly yearly updates and delays. People are starting to get tired of that I believe. If you watch the Smash Bros round table, hearing the elation at Pac-Man's reveal is what Nintendo did well this year. I was sold on Nintendo's conference from the Reggie/Iwata fight and it lasted all the way through. They could have trimmed the Splatoon video though. The more in depth discussion could have been saved for Treehouse.

Nintendo did absolutely AMAZING this year! I enjoyed E3 a whole lot, still wish they showed a little bit more of Zelda Wii U,
still happy they teased it though! Plus, Splatoon looks like a lot of fun, and I am super hyped about SMASH BROS!
I was hoping we would have seen what ever life London is working on, but that might be gamescom. I also wanted information on the whole xbox one as a dev kit feature but once again this isn't a developer event so that would have been out of place. Other than that games wise I was sort of hoping we would have got the announcement of a mainline Fable game or a new first party RPG project. They did impress me enough to get their system.
EA
The American Verstion of the please be excited or please understand memes. They showed up to the party with sports, dragons, and hardlines, but nothing new. A lot of promises and good faith on their studios but nothing tangabile or not even anything cool in CG.
Ubisoft
I wasn't too fond of the demo's for Just Dance and shape up, but I thought they did okay. Was disappointed we didn't see the Ubiart POP that's supposed to be in the works and beyond good and evil 2 still isn't a thing. The Partioits game which seemed mildly interesting was been cannoned for a Hardlines via way of Ubisoft is pretty garbage. Sucks none of their Tom Clancy books even attempt to do a story as well as he did anymore.
[b]Sony[/b}
I bet you love indie games. Well I do sony but not enough for your $400 console anymore. Selling my PS4 for a one this coming Monday. They just seem t be slow at first party even download games, they talked TV when Microsoft was able to keep that to a ten second shout out and show the TV stuff at a different event, plus they seem to not udate their systems and it took them nearly a year to get a youtube app.
Nintendo
My body wasn't ready and not having a conference worked in their favor compared to last year. They came to compete and showed so much interesting stuff to say this is why we should be your second console.
This was probably the best E3 since 2010. Everyone did a fantastic job. Even Sony, who I think has the weakest showing, overall did a decent job. Can't wait to see more on Nintendo's awesome new IP's and hope people warm up more to S.T.E.A.M. Eventually. I really hope Microsoft can keep the improvement they had this year going, I might just have to get a One in that case. Sad this week has to end, it's always such a fun time.
Well, here's to the future. My body if read for Smash Wii U!
I loved how the felt they had to explain Splatoon to us 20 freaking times.
I'm actually very happy with how hard they pushed Splatoon during the week! Makes it seem like they really have confidence in the game and want people to know about it. Makes me excited for its marketing campaign when it's close to launch. SPLATOON IS THE FUTURE!!!!
Zelda U looked beautiful, and there's nothing that excites me more than an open world Zelda game.
Splatoon came out of nowhere to become my favorite playable game at the show.
Star Fox should have been much further along in development if they've been experimenting with it for 6-10 months already.
Metroid or rather, the lack of it. They supposedly plan on doing two different games...which to me means they're not even really in development at this point.
Kirby, Yoshi, and Captain Toad all look like fantastic fun.
The RPGs...where are they? 3DS apparently, they certainly aren't on the Wii U.

Sony didn't even announce a new God of War game for PS4. That REALLY surprised me cuz I thought it was inevitable.
Microsoft: C. They promised games, and they delivered that promise. Unfortunately, most of what they shown off was still the typical dudebro garbage and wasn't too interesting.
EA: Didn't watch, I have near zero interest in anything the company is doing. I heard it was terrible anyway.
Ubisoft: C+. They had a handful of neat things, but it was pretty unexciting.
Sony: B-. Now this is more like it, they showed off some much more diverse and interesting games here. Nothing amazing, but still moderately satisfying.
Nintendo: A-. I don't want to say that it was perfect since most of the new reveals were fairly casual games and the larger and more hardcore games didn't get much coverage (Star Fox, Zelda, and Metroid have all been confirmed, but there's very little information on them), but there were plenty of great games shown off, as well as some new, interesting concepts (most notably Splatoon). I'd say that Nintendo accomplished what they needed to this year.
Overall: B-. A very polarizing E3 for sure. The lineup for most of the "mainstream" companies is becoming increasingly more dudebro and is somewhat unimpressive, whereas Nintendo is sticking more to the casual side but showed off tons of new and interesting games.
