A great game that 2002 GC classic was for me. If it got a remake then here are my suggested ideas:
More different areas to explore, whilst keeping a lot of the original ones like ThornTail Hollow and Krazoa Palace.
Being able to play as the other Star Fox crewmates, each with their own unique playstyles and abilities. Krystal herself should also be a more important character especially, too.
Dashing on foot included or replacing the roll move, so you can finish the tasks quickly. Also an ability to fast travel to places already discovered.
Even more cheat tokens to collect, and more hints and unlockable cheats from them.
General Scales becomes a boss fight, instead of being defeated automatically in a cutscene. (Sorry if this is a spoiler...?)
A bug fix to the completion percentage on save slots, so that the game saves at 100% and it can be seen that way.
Extra features unlockable through the course of the adventure, or after completing the story first time, like boss rush mode, art gallery and the emulated N64 classic Star Fox 64/Lylat Wars.
A reimagined story, probably. Maybe have more of Krystal's quotes used that were once deleted.
It's similar to how Ubisoft's first Rayman game got a fanmade remake, called Rayman Redemption, in 2020. It had more stuff included, more levels, characters and a reimagined storyline, while remaining faithful to its 1995 PS1, SEGA Saturn, PC and Atari Jaguar originals. Plus it became possible to truly fight Mr. Dark himself, rather than just his fused forms, so... Shouldn't General Scales be a proper boss this way as well? I think so, definitely. Although yes, I am aware that Star Fox Adventures already has a fan remake in the works now, the one Krystal Archive site affiliates.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika If that's RareWare you're meaning, yes it probably is. Like why none of their N64 games appeared on Wii Virtual Console, and only DK64 did appear on Wii U Virtual Console.

How about they give us Dinosaur Planet instead of the heavily flawed Star Fox Adventures? You know, the one that doesn't have the Star Fox license forcefully put into the game and had content removed due to that license. I much prefer that instead.

Honestly, even just making Krystal the second main character like intended and giving General Scales his boss battle(he doesn't even need to be the final, though I'd prefer him be so) alone would be enough to justify a remake

This narrative needs to die already. It's been stated people who worked on the game that Nintendo/Miyamoto never forced them to turn it into Starfox and that is was merely a suggestion. Main reason the game was released in the rushed state it was was due to the Microsoft buyout, given most of their Non-Nintendo projects moved from GC to Xbox and Nintendo IP like Donkey Kong Racing got cancelled. SFA was likely too far into production for them to cancel it, but at the same time not enough to allow them enough time to complete it
Rare wasn't owned by Microsoft when Star Fox Adventures was developed and released. Rare only became Microsoft property afterwards (I believe it was the very next day after SFA had released, if my memory of 20 years ago is accurate).
