I haven't played Super Mario Galaxy, because I haven't had the motivation to open it after almost two years. Please don't hit me!!! [hides under a rock]

Dude, it's OK. Nobody is going to hit you.
I would.
The Game.
Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

same, I just said that to get him to stop talking about it. he's mentioned not opening SMG about 5 times now.
Yes, it is one of my favorite games. FLUDD freaking rocks, and the gameplay kicks arse. Galaxy is as worthless as a potato compared to it.
Im the exact opposite, the gameplay isn't as good as Galaxy and FLUDD was okay but it didn't "rock." Sunshine is still one of my favorites but Galaxy is way better.

I agree with you there but that last part about Galaxy is something I can't agree on
Understandable, they are both great games, but Galaxy was kinda easy, it didn't last very long.
That's true, I still haven't beaten SM Sunshine or SM64DS after all these years, I beat Galaxy in a week or two. Still an awesome game though. Edit: I mean, get 100% of the stars.
I found it hard in some cases but NOT as hard as Sunshine. God I can only get like 50 stars until i start to throw my GCN controller and yet just getting that far I know its one of the GCN titles out there.
But Galaxy has more replay value than you think by just going through the game again as Luigi which makes it WAY harder than with Mario especially racing those blue clones.

That doesn't count. Playing the same game twice in a row as someone else is a cheap way to attempt to increase replay value. I played a bit of it, just to find out what happens when you rescue Luigi, but that's about it.
I would say that Super Mario Sunshine is a must if you're a fan of Mario games. But I agree with Luigi-La-Bouncy (Post#15): It's definitely harder than Mario 64 or Mario Galaxy. There are some levels where you don't have your water pump and it can be so frustrating trying to pass all of these strange obstacles. But if you love a good challenge then you probably don't mind.
Listen to Starboy, and get it. Super Mario Sunshine is a fun, quality, crafted platform game, that while not as fun as Super Mario Galaxy, and not as ground-breaking as Super Mario 64, is still well worth playing.
If you like Mario, you will like this game. Ignore anyone who tells you it 'sucks' or is 'too hard', they know nothing.
Fantastic game, and a nice little detour for the series. There's a tremendous amount of variety to the gameplay, between all the different interactions the FLUDD offers and the galaxy-like areas with traditional but fairly difficult platforming.

I'm more surprised every day by how alone I am on this: I LOVE Super Mario Sunshine, but I just didn't think SMG was that great. It was actually kind of boring and felt like a chore to finish at some points. SMS was kind of challenging, but hardly ever frustrating, and even the frustration was fun.
