Hey everybody,
I hope this isn't too out of place for this forum or if anyone has already asked this before, but I have a problem with one of my N64 controllers.
My N64 won't recognize it anymore.
I've already tried looking up a solution online but they pretty much come down to "broken wire". I already opened another, working controller to use the wire from that but it still wouldnt work. I even checked if the capacitor is still ok and it's completely fine.
My only other idea would be that the actual chip on there is dead....
Does anyone have an idea to what else I could check/do?
I have plenty controllers. All of them work. And like I said in my initial post it cant be the plug of the controller because I took the cable and plug from a working controller, desoldered it, soldered It onto the broken ine and it didnt work. So I'm sure it cant be the cable or plug.
I mean I've tried getting an account on this other website that's pretty much dedicated to video game electronics and nodding but I never got their confirmations email.
Anyway thanks for the quick responses guys.
