I've recently bought the handy boy attachment for my gameboy classic (that weird monstrosity with speakers, lens, etc) and have a slight issue with it. Whenever I try to turn the additional light on the speaker turns off (light won't turn on even if the speakers are off). Anyone experienceed similar issues with it?
These things are old, and probably not built to the same quality as Nintendo products. I would suggest opening it up and looking for bad connections (solder etc) or short circuits. It also sounds as though it may not be getting sufficient power, are your batteries reasonably new?
