Just had a look for this thread and couldn't find one, could one of the mods (I think @Octane should be awake around now) make it sticky please?

I wanted to ask, what's the best Metal Slug game to get 1 or 3?

@jump Do you mind if I change it to a general Switch Recommendations Thread?

Anyway, 3 is more complex and deeper but 1 is easier to get into.

Maybe, you know, I did and maybe, you know a recommendation thread, you know wasn't there.

@jump I'm playing Metal Slug 3 on Switch atm with the missus. She finds it hard but fun. It's short and sweet with great animation. Loads of pick and play value but also easy to put down and forget about quickly, imo at least.

Anyone play NBA Playgrounds yet. I'm not a basketball fan but always looking for two player fun. The reviews I've read haven't been great but it's only $26 AUS which seems really reasonable.

Some of Mario Odyssey is seriously giving heart palpitations.... that plumber is trying to kill me!

FGPackers

@Filth_Element if you take it for what it is and without wanting a simulation game (that will come later this year) this can be really a fun and enjoying game

@FGPackers ah nice one. I might just give it a go. We only want something fun, not simulation, as long as it's not frustrating lol.

@Filth_Element sometimes it can get frustrating, i gotta be honest, especially if you want to 100% single player through challenges. But after that i had just a lot of fun! And i'm still waiting for online!

@FGPackers thanks man looks like I'll get it in the not too distant future.
I've just bought a WiiU finally and catching up on that.
One last question are you playing one player or two player.

I have BOTW on retail and Shovel Knight pack on digital, but am really trying to save my money until ARMS and Splatoon 2. So many times I have been tempted to purchase Disgaea 5, Fast RMX or Thumper but think it's just because there is a temporary lack of interesting games for me. There aren't any absolute must-haves right now for me to purchase are there?

Excellent question. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is probably the only other must-have right now, but not if you already have it on the Wii U. For me, I have Zelda, Shovel Knight, Mario Kart, Wonder Boy and Blaster Master Zero. The latter two are definitely very good, but I don't think they're must-haves. But if you really like 2D platformers, then don't hold back!

I have a few questions for those that can answer it.
1. What is kamiko like? How does it play and how long does it take to complete?
2. What are VOEZ songs like? Are they like vocaloid or completely different? Is the game easy for someone with ADD/ADHD (I found hatsuna miku future tone easy mode do able but any difficulty above too hard in most cases)
3. Any ACA neogeo game that isn't a fighter or, metal slug, shock troopers or NAM that someone can recommend to me?
4. Is disgaea 5 fun to 100% or does it drag on at some point? If so, at what point does it get repetetive?
5. Any other games that release between now and 23rd of june that I should play? Or any other eshop games that have already releases that I should play (I already own zelda and mario kart and have no interest in splatoon or arms, I want to buy the binding of isaac but is hasn't released in the PAL region yet and I won't be buying it with my US account. Same thing goes for dragon quest heroes)

Can't answer all of these, but can tackle some!
#3 - Neo Turf Masters is generally considered an arcade golf classic. Not played it on Switch, but remember enjoying it in the arcades back in the day. It's definitely enjoyable.
#5 - the eshop is great if you like 2D platformers: Shovel Knight, Wonder Boy and Blaster Master Zero are all top class. I Am Setsuna is, by all accounts, a solid RPG and I have my eye on it, but not played it. Others can recommend other titles...

Hi guys, I'm all new here and this is the first time I'm writing on this forum.

Very useful topic. I'm traveling on Saturday and it crossed my mind to buy something to make company to my Zelda. I thought about MK8, but I have it on WII U, so it feels like a waste of money. USF II seems a good option, but IMO it is overpriced.

I think I'll end up buying some Metal Slug =/

@Fou-Lu-PL metal slug is great but short, if you want to get the most out of the neogeo games you should play co-op. That makes it way more fun and makes multiple playthroughs worth it.

@darkswabber thanks for the hint. can it be co-op played using the left and right joy-cons separately ?
