Any tips for beating After Alterna? I wanna get the teddy band and Mr grizz badge before I fight for team bear cub

@OctolingKing13 Regarding the After Alterna level, it's quite a long level, and requires lot of trial and error. I think it took me 3-4+ hours🤣. Although, I think others may have beat it quicker than me. To give you an idea of the level's length, I think it takes 15-20 minutes to go play through, if you don't die? There are maybe 2 checkpoints in After Alterna. It's really hard to get to the first one (I thought). The checkpoints help, but you will lose them if you back out of the game level. So, if you get to a checkpoint, and you want a break, stay in the level + don't close the game + use Switch sleep mode if needed.

I think the hardest part was the last section, the rail shooting section. In particular, the final jump and target you have to destroy.(if I remember this correctly)

@Croctopus My active Hacks were 1 each of Armor and Lives. Then I went full Luck with the Color Chips, though the last floor was a Lights Out+Ink Coating+No Item Drops 😱
@OctolingKing13 Be patient with it! Other than the rail shooter section, you can pretty easily wait the enemy out.

I still never finished Eight's palette... I got very close a few times, but none of my attempts were successful. Heck, I was even sobbing for a bit when the final boss took away my last life for the first time.

@OctolingKing13 I do have another tip, you can buy Continues if you lose all three lives on After Alterna. I think the continue costs 333 coins.

OK, I've picked Bear Cubs as my team of choice. Also got a few conch shells in my last couple of sessions.

So, how is everybody's catalog progress this season?

I think I'm on level 57. Since I mainly play Salmon Run, my progress is slow-ish. If I had used all my Salmon Run playing time in battles in stead, I think I'd already be completing the catalog. If I only played battles, I think I can level up my catalog 2x a day playing in half the time it takes via playing SR.

I really want that Seafoam hat. I missed out on it last spring.

I believe I am on level 71. Also, I only just learned this a few days ago but in splatfests or big runs your catalog xp is doubled!

Wow, Jackpot won World Champs? Honestly rather surprised a Western team managed to take it home!

@CaleBoi25 The Japanese team wasn't really the best in japan. Lots of the top top players like Melon didn't enter. But, yeah still impressive that a western team won.

Yeah, there is an XP buff during events like splatfests, big runs, and also during the last 2 weeks of a season. I think I've seen the game mention an XP boost of "1.2x". I'm not sure it's doubled for the catalog like you've heard - Unless I'm wrong.😁🤣

@Croctopus Yeah, I personally like undertow (especially on rainmaker), but with some small changes (better mid and a flank for the glass), it could easily become one of the best in the game.
